He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 91 - The Forgotten Thing

Imagining me sitting in the witness seat so that everyone could set their sights on me, my body trembled violently. To be able to understand the case they are dealing with, judges, prosecutors, defenders, even those who sit as participants, must have watched the broadcast. How could I sit there with their eyes?

How low they used to destroy me. All my life, I won't be able to look into other people's eyes anymore. To get out of my own room I couldn't. Meeting a worker at home whom I've known all my life I can't. Somehow I can continue my studies later. Especially sitting in the witness chair and being stared at by people I don't know. No. gabe. Papa can't do this to me.

“Dira. Hey.” I felt a touch on both of my cheeks. My head rotated slowly so that I met with a look at Brother Hadi. “No one will be able to force you to testify. Did you hear? There aren't. So, don't think about it. Okay?”

“Appointments? Sister appointment, ‘kan? Brother won't let Papa force me to testify?” my door is hopeful.

“Dira, Papa won't force you to testify. Have you ever done anything you don't want?” ask Hadi slowly. Of course never. My mom never asked or forced us to do things we didn't want.

“Now, finish your food. Stop talking about things that are not necessarily happening.” The brother put his hand away from my cheek, then gave the plate containing lasagna to me. He looked towards Wyatt. “Be careful when you talk, or you guys I drive out of this house.”

“Why are you mad at me?” wyatt's protest objection was accused of causing me to get hysterical. “How do I know which topic will make Dira sad?”

“It's not their fault, Brother. Even if we discussed something funny, I could have cried,” I said. “Sorry, I thought too far by imagining sitting in the witness seat and—”

“And there is nothing you need to explain, Dira,” cut Clarissa. “We forget about Jordan, the court, or the prison. We'll discuss something else.”

“For example?” charlotte asked inquire. He deliberately set his sights on Clarissa and Kak Hadi.

“Do you remember the bet I won?” Clarissa gave me a clue. He moved his eyeballs towards Kak Hadi. “Isn't this a good time for someone to fulfill his promise?” Brother Hadi laughed a little.

I frowned, not understanding what Clarissa wanted to say. Brother Hadi seemed to know what he meant, but he purposely kept his mouth shut tightly, not giving me a single hint. What bet did Clarissa and my sister make?

As soon as I remembered that important bet, I shouted in delight.

“Dira!” wyatt yelled out the hand on his left chest. “You almost made me die of a heart attack!”

I laughed hearing that. “That's a good suggestion, Clarissa! I almost forgot about the bet. Come on, we all go to Bali!”

“Ke Bali??” charlotte and Wendy said with sparkling faces.

“Hey, don't haphazardly invite people, Dira! I won't spend all my savings to pay you guys a vacation together! It's just between the three of us and Adi.” Brother Hadi immediately rectified my words. “If they come along, they will have to pay for their own tickets and accommodation.”

Clarissa and I ignored Kak Hadi's protest and we began discussing the date of our departure, as well as the lodging and tourist attractions we wanted to visit. Charlotte, Wyatt, and Wendy also shared their opinions. Kak Hadi did not stop groaning to hear the proposal for the proposal we convey. He must be stressed thinking about the costs he has to spend.

My friends came home in the afternoon. I was still scared to get out of the room and meet other people, so I just drove them up to my door. Brother Hadi who represents me accompanies them to the front door.

Adi used that opportunity to get into my room. She carried a bouquet of flowers with a meaningful smile adorning her face. “For Sister. Since the giver is a very special person, then I drove him specially here.”

I rolled my eyeballs hearing his silly words. There is only one person in this world who is considered special by my sister. So, I didn't ask who he meant. Unlike Wyatt's considerate, Colin isn't. He gave me a red rose. Why did I fall in love with a young man who wouldn't bother buying another type of flower, I don't know.

In the evening, Mama accompanied me to dinner in the room. I didn't ask why it wasn't Kak Hadi who came to deliver the food. We ate and occasionally talked about something light. My mother told me about the novel she was writing. Editors and publishers liked the synopsis he sent. Although the genre is different from what you usually write, they believe this book will sell like your previous book.

Although Mama is not a famous writer who can't go anywhere without disguising herself, I'm proud of her. He is admired by his loyal readers. His cooperation with Papa made his novel can be enjoyed in the form of a film on the big screen. They often argue whenever they decide which producer to trust to do the film, but their struggles always pay off.

“Ah, I will bring all these dirty dishes to the kitchen. Good night, honey. Try not to sleep too late.” Mama tidied up our plates and arranged them on the tray.

“Mama no need to exit. We can chat threesome.” I touched his hand. Mom stopped for a moment, and she smiled at me.

“Lain times, yes.” Mama stroked my cheek before standing up carrying a tray.

Papa kept the door open and made room for Mama to get through. Mama did not look at him at all, while Papa did not take his eyes off Mama. He sighed softly as he closed the door of my room.

I shook my head when our eyes met. “Papa has been with Mama for over twenty years and this is your longest quarrel.”

Papa sat on the edge of my bed, while I walked towards the bathroom. “I've done what I can to get her sorry. Your mama's too stubborn. He doesn't want to be in the same room with me, doesn't want to talk to me, so how can we be better?”

I rolled my eyeballs hearing it. After gargling, I turned towards Papa. “What I witnessed earlier was not an attempt to make up, Pa.” Papa just shut up. I cleaned my face before I got out of the bathroom.

“Why don't Papa hug and kiss Mama? Usually that's Papa's best trick. What makes Papa just silently look at Mama like before?” my question does not understand.

“I've said a nasty thing, so I'm not sure if I still deserve his forgiveness. I'm emotional so don't think before talking.”

“Of course Papa deserves an apology from Mama. If Papa's mistakes can't be forgiven, Mama must have sued for divorce.”

“Hus, it is not good to talk about divorce. You are still a child already dare to talk divorce,” protest Papa. “I won't let your mom get away from me. And he knows it.”

“I'm not a kid anymore, Pa. Next year I'm already entering the marriage age.” I grunt softly. “If Papa keeps this up, long time Mama will go from Papa. Does Papa want his ex to win and approach Mama again?”

“Can you stop talking about bad things?” Papa pulled both my legs so I was in a lying position. I laughed when I saw him angry. He pulled a blanket to cover my body. “Sleep, so I can talk to your mama right away.”

I'm laughing a little. “Pa, I'm already big. I can sleep alone. Talk to Mama.”

“No. Our business can wait. I will accompany you until you fall asleep.”

There was a claw on the door, Papa sighed softly. He's looking at me. Of course I nodded in agreement. Papa approached the door and opened it. Something golden brown and black darted towards the bed. Black and Gold got into bed and showered me with kisses.

“Remember, you can only say good night, then go back to your bed,” Papa reminded. The two dogs just barked indifferently while sitting by my side.

“Let them sleep here one more night, Pa. They're being nice by eating out all my nightmares.” I tried to persuade him. Papa raised both his eyebrows high. “Serious, Pa. I'm not lying.”

“You can be angry if he knows I'm adding days Gold and Black sleep with you.”

“Mama won't mind. I'll just talk good about Papa to Mama. Okay?” I once again tried to change his mind. Papa finally agreed.

That morning, for the first time, I came out of the room. I knew that at this time everyone was still in their room. Most likely Mr. Abdi is awake, but I don't see him wandering around the house.

I smelled a very fragrant scent when I arrived on the ground floor. Following the scent, I approached the front room door. I turned the door knob as slow as I could. When the door opened, the smell became clearer and my eyes rounded to see the scene before me.
