Valeria tries to pull the collar of Clarissa's shirt which she immediately avoids so she stumbles forward and almost falls. I closed my mouth, holding back the laughter that almost escaped from my mouth. He stood up straight again and looked at Clarissa angrily.
Valeria's hand that stretched out to Clarissa's face immediately caught her, then turned to the back of her body. Valeria groans in pain. One of her friends intends to hit Clarissa, but the girl immediately comes forward to avoid it by pushing Valeria's body against the wall and the friend just punches the wind. Again Valeria groaned in pain.
“Have your friends stop recording or hitting me,” infuriated Clarissa. Valeria did not say anything, then Clarissa twisted her hand until the girl groaned and twisted her body to become a shield. Valeria's friend instead of hitting Clarissa, instead hit Valeria.
“Enough! Enough's enough! Don't record or hit him again!” she complied with Clarissa's request.
Recording it? I looked at the third girl I just realized was holding a cell phone and pointed it at Clarissa and Valeria. Hm. What an interesting spectacle. Three girls trying to humiliate a girl. What happens is that they end up in an embarrassing position. I'm sure they won't dare to publish the video to social media.
Clarissa whispered something to Valeria so I couldn't hear a word. But from the facial expression of my old friend, he must have said something he did not like. She immediately stepped away as Clarissa let herself go.
“I can't believe Hadi chose a woman like you to be her lover. You are not only selling yourself, you are not beautiful either. I wonder, what do those guys see pulling off you?” Valeria looked at Clarissa with disdain.
“She must be a witch so all those men see her perfectly. Her face alone is no prettier than yours, Val,” said one of her friends confidently. I almost laughed when I heard it. Valeria is no match for Clarissa. The girl my best friend loves is prettier than Valeria. But of course Dira is much prettier than Clarissa. That's why my girl became a teenage model.
“Go, Valeria. This is not how a respectable woman treats her rival. If you think Hadi will like you by doing this, you are wrong.” I decided to intervene so that the affairs between them were soon finished.
“Colin? Since when have you been there? What do you mean by the way a respectable woman treats her rival? I didn't do anything undue. It is precisely he who has hurt me and my friend,” Valeria accuses. He must think I don't know what happened.
“I didn't see what happened from the beginning, but I know you hit him first, Valeria. You three, Clarissa is alone. Do I need to take your friend's phone to show you who hurt who?” I threatened to see him and his friend still think they had the upper hand.
“We'd better go, Val,” said his friend who recorded earlier. “Awhile the lecturer will pass this place, I do not want to be involved in the problem.”
Although she seemed to object, Valeria finally complied with her friend's request and left this place. Those two friends were not people I knew, nor were they from our classmates. Does he bring friends from off-campus or are they students from other faculties? He really was a coward who brought his friends when facing Clarissa.
“You all right?” I asked Clarissa. He nodded slowly while taking his bag that was on the grass. “If you are wondering, he is my classmate who happened to have liked Hadi for a long time. Looks like he took advantage of that bad news to attack you.”
“This is not the first, so I am not surprised.” He smiled thinly.
“What do you mean? Have you been treated like this by other students?” manyworry. Since when did this campus turn into a place where students gossip?
“After a few weeks ago Hadi showed off our relationship by coming to pick me up every lunch hour and going home from college, who does not know the relationship between us?” He shrugged both his shoulders.
“You must report this incident to the lecturer, Clarissa. Dealing with this problem alone will only drag you into more complicated problems. Just look at what Valeria said. He accused you of hurting them,” I said in a serious tone. “Three people's testimony is stronger than one person.”
“It's only temporary, Colin. After a while they will forget the news that was deleted. No one will dare to bother me again.” Seeing him walking towards the library, I followed him. “Why are you following me?”
“You want to go to the library?” my many. He hesitates. “I'm also going there.”
He looked around me. “Self?” tanyanya.
“No. I'm with you,” I replied jokingly. He shook his head slowly. “If what you mean is Hadi, then no. He's home, so I'm not with him to the library.”
“How are you?” he asked, as if he did not want to show that he was very curious about the situation of my best friend.
“Good,”my answer is short. He looked at me for a moment before nodding in understanding. I smiled, he would want to know more about Hadi. “You're lucky you don't have to meet him every day. Hadi is no longer a pleasant friend. She's sensitive like, sorry, the woman who's coming on the moon. The difference, he is sensitive every day.”
“Multiply ten, then you will be able to imagine what kind of words came out of his mouth,” I said seriously.
“That way?” tanyanya did not believe.
“That's worse.” I nodded firmly.
Clarissa's face turned sad. He shifted his gaze by looking at the circumstances in front of him. We had already reached the library, so we turned towards the study room. We didn't need to go into the library because we didn't need books, just a quiet study room.
“What's up? Why do you look sad?” I asked before we walked into the study and couldn't talk anymore.
He shook his head slowly. “I don't know what to say. This decision was the best one, but I started to question myself over the course of these few days. Is this really the best way for both of us?”
“Clarissa, you decide everything yourself, so you can't say that this is the best path for both of you. Your decision is the best path for yourself.” I know that I sound cruel, but I have to say it.
“You didn't discuss this first with Hadi. Just like I did with Dira. I decided to use a very low way that I thought would protect him.” I smiled thinly. “I'm so sorry I hurt him.”
“I'm sorry. I didn't mean to remind you of your problem with Dira.”
“No problem.” I smile back. “After all I have a surefire way to get his heart and his family back. Dira will be my girlfriend again in the near future.”
“Quite confident too, yes,” Clarissa goda. I laughed hearing that.
“You should also start thinking about ways to improve your relationship with Hadi. That's also if you still want to be with him.” I raised one of my hands. “Don't ask me, because I won't be able to answer. Only you yourself know what a powerful way to win Hadi's heart back.”
“If I knew how, I wouldn't ask.” He covered his mouth with his right hand.
“Aha! So, my guess is right. You want to go back to Hadi?” I'm so happy to hear he's upset, because that means he's talking honestly.
“I didn't come here to talk heart to heart with you. See you later.” With a reddened face, he opened the door of the study room and entered without looking at me again.
I smile at her looking at her behavior. The poor hadi. She should have been officially engaged to the girl who became her first love a few weeks ago. But this girl was so frightened by the news that went around and broke off their relationship. Why doesn't Clarissa learn from the stupidity I've done?
By late afternoon, I was out of the study. Clarissa had gone home first, so I walked alone to the parking lot. I decided to go to an office building first. Traffic to the city center was smoother than going the other way so I didn't spend much time on the trip.
“Colin?” asked the surprised mother to see me coming. He looked around us. “What are you doing here?”
If in the morning Dad is in charge of driving Mama to work, then in the afternoon Mama returned to the apartment using public transportation. Just under certain circumstances, Mama asked me or Dad to pick her up from the office. So, naturally he was surprised to see me standing near the main door of the building where he worked.
“I want to discuss more about the proposal that Mama told me,” I replied.
He smiled meaningfully. “Dira almost passed SMU and you think it is time to do that plan?” I nodded quickly. “I need proof that you are serious about your determination to improve your relationship.”
“I can give the proof to Mama now.”
