There was only one thing in my head. Blocking Dira a step closer to Valeria. I immediately hugged her body and took her away from the girl. Valeria didn't make things easy for me. He instead challenged Dira and followed us to the outside of the department office.
“Supply your mouth! Who dare you speak that?! Open your glasses! Don't hide! I wonder if you still dare to talk rudely with an older person!” Valeria stood behind me and stretched out her hand to grab Dira's glasses.
“Older but your work only poisons the minds of others! What is it that the lecturers at this campus teach their students?!” dira does not want to lose.
“Enough! Can't you hold back your emotions??” I whispered to Dira. I can't say her name because her identity must be hidden. But if he continues to challenge Valeria and attract more people, I can't help his disguise any longer.
“Hold emotions? You fools let that crazy woman speak untrue! He's already insulting you, Colin!” the protest was trying to get away from me.
“I will call security so that you are expelled from this place! You've made a noise!” valeria screams furiously. He couldn't get close because Charlotte was standing between him and me.
“Quite, Valeria! Do you need a lecturer to come and divorce you!?” I shouted in annoyance. “I tried to calm this girl down, why did you even continue fighting? Back to the inside. And keep your distance from us.”
“Colin ... what is ..?” He looked at me in disbelief. “You saw for yourself I didn't do anything. That girl who suddenly got angry and wanted to grab my hair.”
“Do nothing, you say?? You've insulted Colin!” dira reminded him.
“Valeria.” I spoke faster before he uttered his next provocative sentence. “You know what your mistake was. So, immediately keep your distance from us.”
“Come, Val. Colin's right. If the lecturer gets to see this, you will be in trouble. The girl will not get any consequences.” A friend pulled him away from us.
Valeria did not say anything more and went to the department office. I didn't know what was on his mind so I said all those words. Not surprisingly, Dira became this angry. He deliberately provoked me with Hadi.
“You should have let me shave his head,” hiss Dira who was still upset. “He has been presumptuous to insult you as low as that. Why are you even blocking me from doing it??”
“Dira, look where we are. Violence is not the answer. Just let him talk, I don't care. That's all he can do. Talk.” I looked at the girl in front of me intently. “What's wrong with you? You've never been this emotional. Are you okay?”
“I'm supposed to ask, are you okay?” his reply. I didn't answer. He took a deep breath, trying to catch his hunting breath. Then his eyes looked back at the department office. “So, her name is Valeria?”
“OK. What the hell's going on? Why is Dira so angry like this?” charlotte asked confusedly. He looked at me and Dira. “What insults did the woman say until you were angry, Dira?”
“He tried to provoke Colin to hate Kak Hadi. I can't repeat all those words now. I can explode again.” Dira shook his head. “But I'll tell you everything later.”
“Honey once,” said Wyatt with a meaningful smile. “You should just let Dira act, Colin. It's good that their video is being snapped up to go viral.” The three of us stared hard at him. “Hey, I'm just trying to cool the mood.”
“Your plan wasn't funny, Honey,” Charlotte said seriously.
“OK, okay. I'm sorry. Can we go back now?” Wyatt wrapped his hand around Charlotte's shoulder. “Hadi could have gone out and searched us.”
“Hadi won't be looking for us. There are already many women ready to accompany him until the test results are ready to be announced.” Charlotte rolled her eyeballs. But he complies when Wyatt takes him back there.
“You haven't answered my question,” said Dira. I turned to him and saw him crossing his arms in front of his chest. Why is he angry with me now.
“Which question? You asked so many questions earlier,” I said confusedly.
“She Valeria is approaching you? Your brother said harmoniously, I don't think so. His body is too short to be with you. His tongue is also too sharp. Even though you don't seem to mind that,” taunts him. Then I understood what was going on.
“Are you jealous, Dira?” ask me without further ado.
He laughed mockingly. “Jealous? I'm not jealous,” she replied avoiding my gaze.
Ja. She jealous. But I had no intention of taking advantage of her feelings. We can talk about this next time. At the moment our focus is on Hadi. So, I took him back to the department office to wait for Hadi to finish the exam.
Valeria was quite far away from us, yet I could feel her looking back at me and Dira many times. Did he change his tactics to attract Hadi's attention by approaching me? Or does he now hate my best friend and try to get us both into a fight? The friendship between me and Hadi cannot be broken that easily.
After all, Hadi was more attractive to girls. Not because he was more handsome than me, but because of his status. Not only me, Hadi realized that. Hence he did not easily fall in their charms. And I don't envy any of that either. I already have Dira, so I don't need another girl.
“What time does the lecture clock usually finish?” charlotte asked me without looking at me. His eyes focused on his phone screen.
I glanced at my watch. “About fifteen minutes. What's up?”
“I'm trying to tear down the wall of someone's heart.” He smiled thinly.
The silent atmosphere instantly turned boisterous, as the door of the examination hall opened. Several students came out of the room, including Hadi. He looked around for someone, but the crowd of female students who wanted to give him flowers and gifts blocked him. When his eyes found us, he rushed away from the girls.
“Kids, please calm down!” said a lecturer who came out of his study. “If you have no business in this place, please once again, return to your lecture room.”
Some people end up opting out, while others try not to be noisy. Hadi refused all the gifts of the girls who had been waiting for him from the morning. I just smiled at their cocky taste. But still they are not happy to do it. Do they think Hadi will change in one day after these four years of rejecting them?
“Wow, Hadi. The power of an heir.” Wyatt blinked one eye at Hadi.
“You also know what it feels like.” Hadi received a bottle of drink from Dira. He looked at us in turn before sipping his drink.
“Searching someone?” goda Charlotte's. We laughed a little at it.
“Thank you guys for coming. I hungry. After they announce the results, I will treat you to lunch,” Hadi said pretending not to hear Charlotte's question.
“Brutal?” I asked about the situation during the seminar. Only stress makes him hungry.
“Very brutal,” error.
Hadi told me what he experienced during the seminar. The supervisor asked quite a detail about his proposal. Even the little things they ask. According to his confession, he could answer everything seamlessly. But we can't believe it until we hear the results of the seminar.
Not long after, the participants were called back into the room. Hadi walked confidently and still ignored the attention given by the faithful girls waiting for him.
“Clarissa is really stubborn. He did not read or reply to my message. Was he not worried that Hadi would turn his heart to see these beautiful girls trying to tease him?” charlotte was checking her phone.
“Your brother is not like you. You and Wyatt have been in a relationship for a long time and you love each other. It's different with Clarissa. He and Brother Hadi have only been together for a few weeks. I don't know if he ever expressed love to Sister,” said Dira slowly.
“Hopefully he wasn't late when he realized that he loved Hadi. I know Hadi is a good young man. But if Clarissa doesn't act quickly, she could lose her chance to get Hadi again.” Charlotte put her phone in her bag.
“So this is what you do whenever I'm not around you? Talking about me behind my back?” Clarissa's voice came from behind us.
“Well! This is my brother.” Charlotte jumped in happy.
Clarissa placed her index finger in front of her lips. “We are near the exam room.”
“Change your mind, Clarissa? You firmly said yesterday will not come here, my God” deliberately touched on our conversation the previous day.
“Before you all misunderstand, I came for a free lunch. Not to give support to Hadi. She is too independent to need support from others,” Clarissa said casually.
“So. Is that also the reason you broke off our relationship?” asked Hadi who we did not hear his arrival, it turned out to be near us. His voice sounded very cold. “Because I'm too independent so don't need you?”
