He's The Unaffordable

He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 146 - Supporting Each Other

The park is not empty, but today is not Saturday. There are some people who get together with their coworkers, friends, or family by sitting down while enjoying a meal. Colin took me to one of the kebab sellers and ordered two servings complete with fries, then bought bottled water at a small convenience store.

We entered the park and just found an empty bench on the inside. Colin didn't talk when we ate each other's meals. I waited by finishing the contents in my food box and sipped half of the contents of my drinking water bottle.

“Dad was framed by Aunt Chelsea,” Colin said breaking the silence between us. I looked towards him. Aunt Chelsea is her mother's sister. “She raped Dad so that the child she was carrying became her child.” I took a surprised breath. “That's why we're at the police station.”

Colin always told me that he did not like his aunt, because it once prevented Uncle Will from marrying Aunt Gista. The woman also never covered up her feelings for Uncle every time they visited America. Who would have thought that he would go so far?

“Mama is very hurt. Their marriage had been fine and destroyed instantly because of the actions of the person I thought was my family. Aunt is pregnant with another boy, but she has the heart to trap Dad. Hearing him repeatedly yell that he loved Dad, I thought I was just dreaming. How can a person say love when he has hurt the person?” He nodded in disbelief.

“I'm so sad about what happened to your parents, baby.” I touched his hand. “What Uncle and Aunt still live together?”

Colin nodded slowly. “Mama had gone to Grandpa's house, but she changed her mind because she couldn't stop thinking about us. So, we picked her up that night, too. Mama asked Dad before coming home with us.”

“Ask about what?”

“What Dad felt after all that happened.” Colin took a long breath. “Dad honestly said that he was angry, disappointed, devastated, wished he could repeat the time, and regretted that he had hurt Mama. Then Mama came back to live with us.”

“How about your aunt? He's still in jail?” aska I want to know.

“No. Grandpa and Grandma had already qualified for what Dad had proposed, so Aunt was already free and returned to America. We've broken up. Grandma does not accept and accuses Dad of deliberately separating them from their grandchildren. But without Dad filing those terms, Lily and I would not be close to them anymore either.” Colin nodded sadly.

“Tante and your papa have known each other for a long time, good friends for many years. What makes him so bad? Does he think love can be forced? I don't get it. When your mom was alive, your daughter tried to ruin their marriage?” askaku.

“I'm a kid, so I don't know. Dad never said anything about it,” he replied.

“Papa and Mama have experienced similar difficult times. They made it through and their relationship got better. Let's hope the same thing happens to your parents.” Amused him. “Vivaldo has repeatedly tried to seize Mama, even to the point of ruining my life. I hope you and Lily are careful. Who knows your aunt tried to do evil again.”

“Iya. So our first step is to cut ties with them. You should also be careful. It could have been that he also tried to hurt you to hurt me,” he said worriedly.

“Do not worry.” I look around us. “Papa didn't say it, but I know. There were one or two people watching me from afar. Papa would not want to be helped again. I also do not want to be kidnapped people, then there are videos or photos of me with a body without clothes spread.”

“I can't forgive myself for what happened to you.”

“Honey, they are using you. They are guilty, not you. Therefore those who are in prison and you remain free.” I touched her cheek and asked her to look at me. “This will be a problem we overcome together. You forgive yourself, me too. We're both victims, Colin.”

“I am also guilty of betraying you knowingly and deliberately. Had you seen the wound in your eyes, you would have understood. I found the same wound in your eyes, but I was very selfish and kept forcing you to come back to me.” Colin shook his head slowly. “I'm very evil. All I think about is myself, just like Aunt Chelsea.”

“No, Colin. You are not the same as your appointment. All he thinks about is himself, but you hired Clarissa, because you think you're protecting me. Those are two different things. I already told you. If you reject Vivaldo and Nora's proposal, they will hurt me in other ways. These are all their plans, not yours,” I said reassuringly.

“If you really are a bad person, Papa and Mama can't possibly trust me to you anymore. They're gonna forbid me from coming back to you. Papa won't even let me go alone with you.” I'm still trying to convince him. “Listen, darling. Our age is long. I don't want to spend time regretting the past.”

Colin took a deep breath. “Life is heavy, yes, dear.”

He was stunned for a moment. “Since when have you been this wise?” goda.

I laughed hearing that. “Since I used a lot of time to think while we were apart. Therefore I know that Uncle and Aunt relationship will be better.”

“Hopefully you are right.” He looked around us. “Nights are getting late. We better go home now. I don't want to break your curfew.”

I comply. We dumped the empty boxes and bottles into the trash, then walked towards the parking lot. While I was in the arms, I hugged her tightly. I know that I didn't choose the wrong young man who would be my husband. He loves his family very much, so he will love our little family.

Mr. Abdi welcomed me when I got home. My family was gathering in the living room, so I just told them on the doorstep that I was home. Papa, Mama, and Adi look happy, while Kak Hadi put on a sullen face. Must be something bad going on again at the office that had something to do with Clarissa.

The rest of the week went by quickly. Colin accompanied me all day while doing activities. I was surprised by his strange attitude. He still has a thesis he has to finish, why waste time with me for the rest of his days?

But he did not care about my protest and remained faithful to accompany me. It's not that I don't like his presence. I just don't want her to think that I'm still a spoiled girl who hasn't been able to understand her boyfriend's busy studies.

“I'm serious, baby. I'm it's okay. This week is the last week of college. From next Monday, we will be busy with our studies. I don't want to waste the chance to be with you. Anyway I want to pay for the time where I can't be with you when I focus on my family,” he said casually.

“Colin,” I said trying to give understanding.

“I don't want to listen to anything anymore. Quick ride. We must leave now so that you are not late to the meeting place.” He held my hand, intending to help me up into the backseat. Finally, I gave up.

In accordance with Papa's plan, we took a family vacation to his villa. We not only stayed in the villa, but also took a walk to various tourist attractions. The main thing is to try a variety of new places to eat that we have never visited. Some are in line with what people say, some restaurants are not as good as people say.

I take great care of my privacy, so I don't upload anything to my social media to be a fan consumption. Only things that have to do with work that color my social media content. I entrusted Vikal to take care of it. Om Irwan sent one of his confidants to supervise every contents of my account. Papa doesn't trust anyone, so I don't hinder his intention to keep an eye on everyone closest to me.

“I'm sorry,” Papa said as we sat together enjoying a warm drink inside the tent. A tradition we never miss every time we stay at the villa. “You have a father who has many enemies, who involved you in their revenge efforts.”

“Also have an imperfect mother, who does not stop planning evil things in our family,” Mama said regretfully.

“I don't know what else is going to happen in the future, but I hope you guys stay strong. I will do everything I can to protect you all,” Papa said slowly.

“Pa, Ma, this is not Papa or Mama's fault. Love is rejected or applauded by many people, but not all act against the law. What we're going through because these people aren't Papa or Mama's fault. It was their own fault,” said Brother. “I know it feels like love is rejected, but I didn't plan anything evil against Clarissa.”

I nodded slowly. “Kakak's right. Colin betrayed me, but I didn't retaliate by committing a crime. Isn't Papa like that too? What do you do not make Papa evil like Vivaldo, ‘kan?”

“Our kids are big. They've been smart to answer what their parents say.” Papa looked at Mama in disbelief. We all laughed.

The long vacation ended, my first day as a student began. Papa said, he used to live orientation on campus a few days before the lecture began. But the tradition has long been abolished since the loss of life. The introduction of campus life at that time was instead used as a venue for senior revenge against new students.

I followed Brother to the lecture hall as shown on my note. It seems like everyone knows Kak Hadi, especially the girls. Almost all of the women we passed by looked at my sister with unblinking gazes. They're late. My brother already had someone at home living in his heart, even though his mouth always denied it.

“Wah, wow, wow. Look who came with his beloved brother,” said the voice of someone I will never forget. This is impossible.
