He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 36 - Wrong of Yourself

*Hadi*

I was checking the concept of the proposal that I had finished typing on my laptop when I heard a noise from outside the room. Who made Gold and Black bark so hard? Papa and Mama had just attended a party with Adi, while Dira was in the room making a video call with Charlotte. His grandparents were on the plane as well. They'll land at the airport tomorrow afternoon.

Unable to concentrate on continuing my duties, so I walked out of Papa's study. The barking came from the front of the house. I frowned seeing Mr. Abdi standing there with our two dogs struggling on the porch. Looking at the movements of his feet, there was someone they were working with.

“Cole?” I asked her to recognize her laughing voice. “Gold, Black, reverse.” They immediately complied, then stood by my side. Both of their tails swayed indicating they were happy. “Can you tell me what happened here?”

“Your sister is crazy.” Colin tried to sit down. I held out my hand to help her stand up. He immediately wagged his clothes and pants as soon as he managed to stand up. “How dare he have these two dogs attack me.”

“They didn't attack you, just pranked you. Own mistake. Why did you come just a few days after you broke up? You know he won't like this.” I looked at my best friend's ridiculous behavior.

“I had to come, okay? Grandma entrust her favorite croissants.” He looked towards the box held by Mr. Abdi.

“Sausage and cheese?” askaku expectantly. Colin nodded. “Wah! Thank you! Grandma Hagia is the best person!” I immediately took the box from our butler.

“Fahri could be offended to hear you say that, Sir,” Mr. Abdi reminded.

“Because of that, don't let Pak Fahri know.” I laughed amusedly.

“Hadi, you, Adi, and your parents only got one piece. The rest is for Dira, so don't you spend it alone,” Colin said as I walked towards the living room. I waved my hand without looking back at him, because my mouth was already full of chrysanthemums.

On Monday morning the atmosphere of the house was quite rowdy because Mama was busy preparing her own food to eat together at the house of Aunt Lindsey. Whenever Aunt Claudia visited, they would meet at Aunt Lindsey's house for lunch or a snack together. Aunt Qiana and Darla also brought their own food.

Mama gave us our share in the lunchbox. Usually I don't want to bring food from home, but this time I don't refuse. Mr. Fahri makes tuna and avocado sandwiches. It was Aunt Claudia's favorite food that I also liked. Aunty Darla must have brought her delicious signature dish. I asked Mama to bring home a portion for me.

After taking the sisters to their respective schools, I headed to my campus. Not wanting the same incident to repeat itself, I looked around me warily. I don't want to meet a girl who likes to do that.

Colin agreed to help me by waiting at our appointment, then headed for the lecture hall together. We sat next to each other so Valeria couldn't sit by my side and annoyed me throughout the lecture.

He still greeted me and tried to get me to talk, but I ignored him. The other girl immediately caught my signal quickly and moved away from me, not with this one woman. He was still looking for a way to melt my heart.

I went to the guidance counselor and submitted the initial proposal that I had finished working on. He asked me to see him again tomorrow, because he could only study my proposal later. I don't mind. My proposal is pretty thick, so he'll need some time to read it.

“Crazy you. I haven't even finished formulating the background of the matter from my research. You even have completed the full proposal in just a few days?” Colin whistling.

“You proposed a title before working on your material at all? That's called wasting time. Better you already know what will research, just submit the title.” I shook my head in wonder.

“That's the way to harm. What if my title is rejected? Means I have to start all over again and throw away all the materials I've been working on. No, thank you.”

“If your first title is rejected, look for another title with the same problem. I think once you play a game that requires brain-dilution, then you'll be a little smarter. Turns out no,” taunted me.

“Ya, already. Since you are free, help me work on my proposal.” Colin wrapped his hand around my shoulder and pulled me towards the library.

“No.” I held my leg and let go of her hand grip on my shoulder. “I'd better go to Papa's office after dropping off the sisters to their extra tutoring place.”

“Hadi,” call someone from our front direction. I turned my head and saw Mila standing not far from us. “Ng, can we talk for a minute?”

Colin put both of his hands on his hips as he looked at me with both eyebrows raised high. “Of course he can. He can always give his time and energy to you, but not to me. I'm not his best friend anymore.”

“What's up, Mila?” I just ignored Colin's statement.

“I have to pick up my sister.” I glanced at my watch. Colin snorted loudly, once again, I just ignored him. “After driving them to the tutoring place, we can talk. How?”

“Good,” Mila replied quickly. He looked towards Colin. “If you want to come, come on. If you and Hadi are friends, it is also time for you to know who I am.”

“No. Dira and I have broken up, so I better keep my distance from Hadi.” Colin walked backwards.

“You can catch up with us where we talk. So, you won't meet Dira.” This time Mila rolled her eyes. “Ya, already. It's up to you.”

“What are you? The son of a conglomerate from the American continent who disappeared as a child and they managed to find you?” taunted Colin. “Oh, it's like Hadi's first love story that he can't forget.”

“You and Dira do match. If you're angry, you bite.” I signal with my hand for Mila to follow me to the parking lot. “Because you yourself do not want to come, do not blame me if I keep many things from you.”

“I also have a big secret,” said Colin did not want to lose.

“I don't want to know.” I waved my hand at him without looking at him.

“A secret that has to do with Dira,” exclaimed Colin who managed to make my step stop. I turned around and looked at him with annoyance. “Trust me, you definitely want to know the secret of this one.”

Meanwhile in an agency~

Reese closed her lips and did not say a word after Sam snapped at her. The man sat with his hands on his head, then rubbed his face. He took a deep breath, trying to ease his hunting breath.

“I have a condition if you want all those videos taken down. And this is the last recklessness I can tolerate. There can be no more madness out there involving you and your arrogance.” Sam turned to look at Reese. “I can go bankrupt if I keep spending that much money to save the reputation of this agency because of you.”

“What terms do you think of?” asked Reese with concern.

“You're on leave for a few months. It is time to continue your studies that have been delayed. Don't say anything, I'm not done talking.” Sam stared intently at Reese who opened her mouth to express her protest. “Prove to me that you can enter college, then we will talk again next step.”

“Dira is on leave, why should I take a leave too? This is my golden opportunity!” peekkik Reese's.

“A chance you've wasted, so don't blame anyone. No one is pushing you to get angry to and fro until your video goes viral. Before you lose all your fans and expensive contracts, fix yourself. It is better that you disappear for some time so that people forget you for a moment.

“Then come back with a better you. Use your leave to prepare yourself for university. The more prestigious the campus you enter, the better the response of people to your return to the world of models later.” Sam leaned his body against the chair. “Cilla will help you find the best tutor. Good luck.”

“I can't believe I have to go to college at the peak of my career. You ruined all my plans!” scream Reese hysterical.

“If you don't like the plan, you can get out of this agency now and pay the fine stated on the contract. Because obeying me for the good of your career is an absolute point on your contract, Reese. Please choose yourself.”
