He's The Unaffordable

He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 174 - Strange Sentences

I smiled to see Dad and Mama sitting alone at the kitchen counter. They enjoy their coffee while chatting casually. The honeymoon plan worked well. Dad has checked himself again and he is declared recovering from infectious disease due to the actions of Aunt Chelsea. So, they've slept one more room.

“Good morning, Dad, Mama,” I said hello to them. My mom looked so I could kiss her cheek. “What are you guys talking about?”

“Just a job problem. What about your script? Can we help you?” ask Mama.

I shook my head slowly. “I'm going to the campus to discuss with my lecturer. There are some things I don't understand about my research.”

“OK. If there is a problem with the questionnaire you are about to share, let us know. There will be many people who can be asked for help to fill it voluntarily,” Mama said.

“You parents are the best,” my compliments are happy.

“I'll take your mama out to dinner, so take good care of your sister.” Dad embraces Mama. I immediately agreed.

Dad went to work with Mama, while I drove Lily to school. He got off my motorcycle enthusiastically as soon as he saw a girl get out of the car. After saying goodbye to me, he called out the girl's name and walked with her through the school gate. Finally, he had a new friend as well. That way, he did not continue to be with Adi.

Hadi didn't say anything about his plans to go to campus, so I was surprised to see his car in the parking lot. I rushed towards the department office, but she was nowhere in the waiting room in front of the lecturer room. Where the hell is he?

“I'm in Clarissa's department office. She couldn't come by herself to deliver her script,” she said answering my question over the phone.

“Don't go to the office, meet me for a minute,” my door. He answered yes.

Fortunately, my professor called my name when he came and invited me to his study. Other friends complained, because they came first. Therefore I did not linger and immediately asked the difficulties I was experiencing. My lecturer signaled the part I did not understand and explained it until I understood.

When he asked for the sample questionnaire I had made, I immediately gave the sheet to him. He read quickly, then inserted a question that could help me conclude the research better.

“Wow. One question alone can answer all problems, yes, Mr.” I read the question and instantly understood where the flaws I missed were.

“I'm sorry. I should have looked at your proposal well. Is there anything I can help you with?” ask the teacher kindly. I shook my head slowly. “Good. Please come again if there is a new problem.” I thanked him and walked out of the room.

Hadi who was originally sitting among our friends stood to see my arrival. We walked out of the department office together. He's going back to the office, so I can't ask him to stay too long. I took advantage of our trip to the parking lot to talk.

“You didn't come to play basketball with us, so I delayed asking for something,” I said equating my steps with her.

“You can call or text anytime you want. Why wait until we meet to ask?” said wonder.

“Because this question will make you uncomfortable,” I replied honestly. He looked towards me. “What happened after we spoke at the cafe last Tuesday?”

He took a long breath. “I don't know, okay? But I answered soberly when the family asked that night.”

“Iya. Dira told me. You met an old friend.”

“I lied, because I don't remember what happened on that day.” He sighed loudly.

“What do you mean, Hadi? Has anyone hit your head until you lose your memory?”

“No. Last thing I remember, I got in the car.” That was the last part I remember about him that day. “Then I was very sleepy and woke up in a hotel room. I don't know who took me there, nor do I know what happened.”

I stopped my steps. “Wait. You sleepy? I remember you yawned a few times before we parted. Could anyone put sleeping pills in your food? I'm fine, so you must be their target.”

“Who did it? No one we knew at the cafe,” he said in frustration.

He's correct. But who else would do that to him. “Hotel room. Are you alone in that room?” He nodded slowly. “For what did they take you there?”

He shrugged both his shoulders. “I don't know either. Papa must have investigated what happened, but he kept his mouth shut and would not tell me anything.”

“Don't make me curious, Colin. Wh who? What did he say?” urged Hadi.

“I met Valeria at the library. He asked me if I knew where you were after we met at the cafe. He said, I should ask you because you have a surprise for me.” That sentence sounded even more strange after I said it.

“Surprise for you? I don't remember who was with me that day, how could I have thought of a surprise for you?” ask Hadi confused.

“I don't know either, Hadi. That's why I asked you directly. What happened that day? Why can you spend time from day to night and neglect work? It wasn't you I knew,” I said explaining.

He seemed busy thinking to himself. When he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, I knew that he was thinking about something very serious. “Can Valeria do that? Insert sleeping pills, then take me to the hotel room?”

“Your body is not light, Hadi. She couldn't have done it—” I was stunned for a moment. “Does he have a plot and plan this with them? But for what?”

“For what else?” Hadi growled softly. “He's been chasing me for a long time. From the first day we were on this campus. She must still be hoping that I would accept her love. Crazy women. Everything is clear now. She accidentally slept with me so she was pregnant.”

My mouth was open to hear that word. So, that means taking Hadi to the hotel? What's inside Valeria's head? What he did was not only to ruin Hadi's life, but also his own. “Are you sure you guys slept together?” askaku.

Hadi frowned. “What does your question mean? Especially what happens in that room if not …. I don't want to talk about this.”

“It's important, Hadi.” I held her hand as she tried to get back to her car. “You've had one week without having intercourse. If something really happened in that room, you must have the urge to do it again. Do you feel that?”

“What encouragement? What I currently feel is wanting to strangle Valeria and eliminate her from this world.” Hadi pulled his hand from my grasp. “My relationship and Clarissa are only one week old and the problems have come a long way trying to separate us again. I won't let Valeria win, whatever her evil plans.”

“Hadi, focus on my question,” I said once again. He sighed softly. “Do you feel anything right now? Do you want to have sex with someone?”

“What's that crazy question? Is that as low as your assessment of me?” said offended. “I won't do that, except with my wife later.”

“You're the brightest student in our class, even on campus. But this simple thing you don't know?” my tease. He closed his lips. “Hadi, if you ever had sex with a woman, you would want her again. It's been over a week since the incident in that hotel room. My question is, do you have the urge to do it again?”

Hadi was stunned for a moment. He lowered his head and his hands were in front of his stomach. I waited for him to answer my question. As her face turned shocked, I grew impatient to hear if my guess was wrong or right.

Meanwhile in a house~

“Are you sure you want to cook this much? We can make the same menu with different seasonings tomorrow, baby,” Lindsey said seeing the amount of meat put in the meat-smoothing machine.

“Hadi asks for the same pizza we made yesterday Grandma. So, some of the meat is for pizza and some is for pastel,” Clarissa said with a happy smile.

“Mm, which is kasmaran. Whatever her boyfriend asks is definitely followed.” Lindsey rubbed Clarissa's head.

An object vibrated on the counter, Clarissa and Lindsey turned their heads. Knowing that Clarissa's phone signaled that a new message was coming in, she immediately picked up the object. Lindsey just shook her head looking at her granddaughter's behavior.

The message came from a number he did not keep. He opened it and saw that there was a photo he had received. Clarissa took a long time to understand what she was looking at in the picture.

“Oh, God,” murmured Lindsey surprised. “Who sent the photo, dear?”

“What is this, Grandma?” clarissa asked confused.

“It is a pregnancy test kit. These two red lines show that the result is that someone is pregnant,” Lindsey said confusedly. “But why send this photo to you?”

As if answering Lindsey's question, a new message came under the photo. Lindsey took a surprised breath, while Clarissa let the thing slide down her lap. I'm pregnant with Hadiyan Perkasa's son.
