*Colin*
They were in the restaurant for a long time until my feet were tingling as I just sat quietly waiting on my motorcycle saddle. I locked the motorcycle, then rushed back to the restaurant. Fortunately, they were sitting inside the restaurant that would not be able to see towards the entrance gate of the parking lot.
Since the outside of the restaurant was a little darker than the inside, then I could see them clearly. I left them alone, but now there was a young man sitting with them. That face is foreign to me. After threatening me to cut ties with Dira, what will they do with the young man?
The more I thought, the more I cursed myself. I should have always been honest with Hadi. When it comes to strategy, I'm the master. But Hadi is his brain. In this state, he always knew to read the situation. I acted without thinking just because I was worried that Aunt Zahara's reputation would be damaged if the photo was spread.
The man named Vivaldo stood up, as did the woman named Nora. The young man also stood up, then with a happy smile alternately shook the hands of the man and woman. Damnit. Just be careful if they plan something bad for me. They won't get away.
I rushed to the place where my motorcycle was. The road in front of us was one-way, so they had to pass me as soon as they got out of the parking lot. The first vehicle that appeared was a motorcycle that I believe the young man was riding. Next is the car. I saw the man and woman sitting in the front seat through the window.
I kept a safe distance while following their car from behind. Sometimes I was left or middle so that the man did not suspect and assumed I was following them. Their first stop was in front of a small house on a road that was enough for two cars to pass.
Only the woman came out. Someone opened a gate that turned out to be an aged woman. He went into the yard with the old woman. The car moved, I followed it back.
This time the journey is longer. It's a good thing that guy didn't cross the highway or I wouldn't be able to follow him. Arriving in front of a house that is not large, he got out of his car to open the fence. Looks like he lives alone. Though from the information I got through the internet, he had three children. Where are they all going?
After he entered the house, I waited a while to make sure that he was not lying to me. He could have been pretending to go into this house, but this is not his place to live. Even if I was careful, I could have miscalculated and he realized that he was being followed. Seeing that he was completely unsuspecting and remained in the house, I decided to go home.
“What is this?” ask Grandpa Kenzie, Mama's real father, when we came to their house. A boxcar followed us into their yard.
“Something for Grandpa.” I blinked my eyes as I walked towards the car. Grandpa followed me and looked at the inside of the box. Two men took down a leather chair that looked heavy from the car.
“Colin, this house is small. Where else would you like to put that chair?” ask Grandpa confused. “Also this house already has enough seats. Or is this a special seat for you?”
“I told you. This is for Grandpa.” I shook my head slowly.
After they put the chair in the place I pointed, Mama helped drive them out of the house. I invited Grandpa to sit down, then I pointed at a button along with its function. Grandpa often complains that his body feels bad. So I decided to find a solution.
This chair is very good and no one has complained about it yet. So, I bought this chair for Grandpa. The massage system is very sophisticated and will stop automatically when the user is asleep. The legs will go up and the head will go down a little by itself to make the user's sleep more comfortable.
“You've given me a lot of stuff. You better save your money. Aren't you getting married to Dira early next year? There will be many unexpected costs that you have to meet later.” Grandpa gave advice while smiling happily feeling his body massaged.
“You brought something for your grandfather. What about me?” ask Grandma Hagia with pouting lips. My parents and brother laughed at me.
“This is for Grandma. With this one tool, Grandma can make all the cake and bread dough with one button only. Then just baked or processed as Grandma wanted.” Lily gave him the box she had brought.
Grandma immediately received the box and opened it. “Oh, Colin! It's going viral and I'd love to have it! How the hell did you know? But this is very expensive.”
“It's nothing, Grandma. Seeing Grandma happy is the most important thing. I want to be the first taster when Grandma makes something with this tool,”.
“Why did Grandma even make Dira's favorite chrysanthemum?” my protest.
“Because he's your fiancee. Didn't you always say that if he was happy, then you would be even happier?” said Grandma with a carefree tone.
“Nek,” said Lily who I know is trying to correct Grandma. I immediately covered her mouth with my hand. My sister rebelled in annoyance. He shouted in my palm which I immediately understood. He said me and Dira had broken up.
“I'm hungry. Come on, let's eat now. Does Grandma cook my favorite burgers and pizzas?” I immediately switched the conversation.
“Better than that,” replied the mysterious Grandma. I immediately thought of another food menu while walking with him towards the dining room. He didn't agree with my answer, so my guess was wrong. Her smile expanded as I called out spaghetti and lasagna.
“I also cooked your favorite peanut seasoning satay,” Grandma said adding. I cheered happily, then hugged her body tightly.
As long as we ate together, I avoided Lily's eyes. I'm not lying. I just delayed telling them about the end of my relationship with Dira. They are so happy today. I don't want to ruin it with bad news.
They love Dira so much, so I don't let them down. I knew whenever I delivered the news, they would still be sad and hurt. But not today. I better pick another day after I officially speak to Uncle Hendra.
The delicious food I chewed was bland as soon as I remembered on Tuesday, I had to talk to him. Dad and Mama were right. I asked Dira's hand directly from Uncle Hendra, then I have to return it carefully to him as well. I had enough of being a coward by letting Dira say the word break up, then I could not let him also explain the breakup of our relationship to his own father.
With our stomachs full, we watched together in the living room accompanying Grandpa, as Mama and Lily helped Grandma make chrysanthemums with various stuffing in the kitchen. The delicious aroma of bread filled the room making my stomach sound.
A few slices of chrysanthemum we enjoyed along with fruit ice. A few more pieces have Grandma packed in a lunch box, specifically for Dira and his family. Grandma told her that her parents and two brothers each got one piece, the rest for Dira.
Arriving at the apartment, I was forced to go out again to take Grandma's custody to Hadi's house. Lily smiled meaningfully, because she knew full well that I would have a big problem coming to the family home right now. I can only pray in my heart that Uncle and Aunt are not at home and I will only meet Hadi.
The opportunity to be outside the house was also used to meet with my gaming friend who oversees the house of the man named Vivaldo. The two of them would go straight into his house when he was outside. I need to make sure that he doesn't leave any files of any kind that have anything to do with Aunt Zahara.
Uncle Hendra and Aunt Zahara were quite famous people, so they knew what my tantric face was like. Hopefully the man said it was true that there were no more photos of his friendship with Aunt Zahara that he still kept. Or I will break the covenant because they broke it first.
The ones who greeted me after Mr. Abdi opened the front door were Gold and Black. The two dogs kissed my feet and circled my body, blocking me from getting into the house. Then Dira walked leisurely down the stairs near the front door.
“I've said firmly that I don't want to see you in this house for a while. It's still in deadline ‘while time’, Colin.” Dira crossed his hands in front of his chest. “Go soon or I will order Black and Gold to bite you.” The two dogs growled with one side of their lips rising upwards, showing their sharp rows of fangs.
I swallowed heavily. “Listen. I had to come here. Grandma leave this for you.” I held out the big box I was carrying. Dira glanced at Mr. Abdi who took the box from my hand. “Go as soon as your business is done.”
“You won't thank me for giving my grandmother?” many offended.
“I can call Grandma Hagia and thank you directly.” Dira turned her body. “Gold, Black, finish him.”
“What?” The two dogs growled loudly as they stepped closer to me. Oh, goddamn. “Dira! What are you doing!? The diraa! Pull back your command!”
