He's The Unaffordable

He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 148 - Field Inspection

We arrived at the office building, Clarissa was still pouting. We entered the elevator together without waiting in line. But he came out on the floor where the marketing division room was, and I went upstairs to the boardroom. Although I was the youngest among the meeting participants, I did not feel inferior. Papa can get through the years of being the youngest among the directors, why don't I?

Aunt Gista looks tired, but her performance is much better than last week. He looks sleep deprived with a makeshift smile, not as cheerful as usual. Today he smiled more. The problems he had with his family must have been very difficult. But I don't know what yet, because Colin hasn't told me. Maybe on Saturday, when we play basketball together, he will tell us everything. I can only hope for the best for my best friend.

“I heard there was a commotion on campus the moment you dropped Dira off. What happened?” papa asked after the meeting and everyone was out of the room. Aunt Gista looked at me.

“Papa remember Reese Foster?” ask before answering.

“Former adopted sister Clarissa.” Papa nodded slowly.

“He's one class with Dira.” I lifted both my shoulders. Papa closed his eyes, then his hands massaged his forehead. Aunt Gista laughed amusedly.

“Once, Sir. But from my observations during my time working with you, the problem never wants to be far away from you and your family,” said Aunt Gista amused.

“So, you laughed happily over the problems that always befell our family?” papa said annoyed.

“All those problems keep your family close to each other and you can't deny it.” Aunt Gista raised all the files on the table. I immediately took over all the large folders he was hugging. “Thank you, Hadi.”

“You are a mother, you must know that as a parent, I don't want my children to be too hard. They should enjoy their youth, not meet people who like to cross the line.” Papa stood up and walked towards the door. “What else does the wicked girl want from my daughter?”

“Not Dira, Pa,” said I told the reason the girl went to college there. “I'm the one who was targeted he chose the same lecture as my major.”

Papa laughed in disbelief. “You've already rejected him and he still doesn't give up too?” ask Papa surprised. I just kept quiet. “You better fix your relationship with Clarissa. She's a good girl, Hadi. We announce your engagement, then there will be no other girl who will try to approach you again.”

“Papa sure of the plan?” manya.

“Are you sure it will work?” ask Aunt Gista along with me.

“Why do you two look doubtful?” Papa glared sharply.

“Because, Sir, you who are married are still approached by single women who want to be your next wife,” replied Aunt Gista casually.

“I agree with what Aunt Gista said,” I said I don't want to lose. Papa looked at the two of us with sharp squinting eyes. But he walked into his room without saying anything more. Me and Auntie Gista laughed in satisfaction.

“Hadi,” says Aunt Gista in a soft voice. “While we have no family connection, what your father said is true. Fix your relationship with Clarissa. You've been lying to yourself for too long. Don't let you be late fixing everything.”

I just smiled and nodded slowly. I know that means well. But I've made up my mind and I'm not interested in improving our relationship. If Auntie Gista knows how I feel, does that mean everyone in the marketing department knows the same thing?

No. gabe. I am sure that I keep my attitude as good as possible. I don't steal glances when no one is watching me or talking to him alone. Ever since the first day in the meeting room, I didn't sit next to each other and chat with him again.

“Nah, Hadi has come,” said Tegar who saw me enter the room. “Come, prepare your luggage, we go now.”

After a week ago they learned to make an interesting advertisement, evaluating every advantage and disadvantage of the promotion that the marketing division has done, and, so today they will visit one of the company's department stores. This is nothing new to them, but Rigid will tell you how to promote products that consumers see immediately.

I don't know what Tegar instructed them, but the interns were divided into two groups. One group followed me, while Tegar led the second. Clarissa's not on my team. That's a very good thing.

Rigid chose to surround the shop from next to the right entrance, so I took my team to the left. I pointed at the mannequins, the large posters that were on the pillars, the decorations that hung on the ceiling were part of accelerating the marketing of the product.

“There is one thing that remains done consistently in this store, which is the provision of discounts. No old stock item experiences a price increase before getting a cut. Customers usually memorize the price of items they have long sought. So, we don't want to ruin our own reputation by doing public lies,” I explained.

“That's what I like about this store, sir. Therefore I buy shoes, bags, and clothes in this store even if it is not a discount. I also hope one day to work here,” said one of the female employees. The others said the same thing.

“Official is not my fragrance. If you are interested, you can apply to work here after graduation later.” I took them to another section.

Before returning to the office, we had lunch together at a poet in the mall. They ordered whatever menu they wanted. Clarissa finally had a chance to sit next to me. I didn't give any response or expression. Everyone ordered food, he brought his own provisions.

Some of the interns smiled meaningfully at Clarissa and me, while others were engrossed in chatting with the friend on her left right. I braced myself and counted down the time I had to go with him. Eleven more weeks, then this is all over.

We went back to the office and Tegar gave them the task of writing a report of the things they had noticed in the store. I went to my room and let him take care of them. I have to prepare a report for me to give to the marketing manager before the business hours are over. Papa owes me a lot. This job took up my time so my script couldn't be touched at all.

“Hadi,” call Clarissa when I'm about to enter the elevator. I had deliberately rushed out of the room so as not to meet him, why was he still following me? “I have a proposal to replace the role of mannequins in the store.”

Oh. He didn't come to me to talk about what happened this morning. “What capsule?” aska interested.

He looked around us. There are a lot of people who are waiting in line to use the elevator. “Can we go somewhere and talk about this alone?”

I looked at him in disbelief. So, she used this way so she could have dinner with me? “Usaha good, Clarissa. I refused.”

“You think I said this to trap you to dinner alone with me?” He's laughing a little. “I'm really serious about having a better idea. If you don't want to, yes, you already have. I'll talk about this with a stick. Don't blame me later. I already offered this proposal to you first.” He smiled, turned around, and left.

She lies. Which maybe people who do not have work experience in the marketing division have a good idea. He'll just have dinner with me. This girl knew what to do to get what she wanted.

But what if he was honest? If the proposal is interesting and can increase sales, then Papa will praise the efforts of Tegar. I can be ashamed of not being able to work better than him. Moreover, Clarissa was the one who had been close to me.

I'm struggling with myself. Before I changed my mind, I approached him standing at the door of another elevator not far from me. He knew I was coming near him, but he pretended not to notice. “Good. I want to hear what you mean.”

“I want you to promise me one thing before I agree to share this idea with you,” he said with a triumphant smile.

“You are so sure that this proposal of yours is a brilliant proposal.” I shakes in disbelief.

“Terupon you, Hadi. Take it or leave it,” he said indifferently.

I close my lips. This woman will get a reward someday. Just like Charlotte and her sister-in-law. “You want me to promise what?”
