He's The Unaffordable

He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 139 - His Persistence

Aunt Lindsey forced us all to stay for lunch with them. I don't know what Charlotte and Dira are doing with Clarissa in her room. Let's just hope they comfort him and not think of a prank idea to tease me again.

“Luca has been removed. Are you now feeling calm and not worried that anyone will take her away from you?” it was Goda Wyatt who was sitting on an empty spot by my side.

“I don't care if anyone comes close to him. We have no relationship whatsoever,” I replied seriously. Why doesn't anyone take me seriously?

Wyatt laughed a little. “Your mouth is always not in line with your behavior. You said there would be no hope for your relationship, uh, you kissed him affectionately. You say you don't care if anyone comes near him, then who immediately claims to be his girlfriend at the airport? What just happened, you don't want to know about him, but you're the first one to run out of the house and hug Clarissa,” her taunts.

“As far as you want to say what,” I said indifferently. It's not my fault that girl was so seductive. Which young man can hold himself back when the girl he once loved kisses him affectionately?

“There's no point in flirting with my brother, Wyatt. You won't be able to make him open his mouth or change his mind. Only Clarissa can.” Adi laughed with Wyatt. Damnit.

A waiter came and told him that lunch was ready. So we all stood up and one by one walked out of the room. As I walked out of the living room, Clarissa and Charlotte and Dira walked down the stairs. He looked fresher after cleaning himself and changing clothes.

Wyatt waited until his girlfriend was nearby, while Adi and I walked towards the dining room. Once again everyone deliberately set up a formation so that Clarissa and I would sit side by side. I turned to Aunt Lindsey and Om Edu who pretended not to notice.

“Kata Dira, you are worried about my situation,” Clarissa said after thanking the waiter who poured drinking water on her glass.

“Everyone is worried about you, therefore we are here,” reply me accordingly.

She smiles. “You shouldn't have to worry about me. You know for yourself that I can take good care of myself. Had you been there, you would have seen my prowess against two big men alone,” he said so proudly.

“You mean, Luca's man?” aska I want to know.

He nodded his head. “I managed to bend them when the people who helped me came. Luckily they weren't armed like Finley's men.”

“What Luca hurt you?” ask again.

“He touched my cheek, hugged my body, kissed my face, and ..” He looked towards his body. “He changed my clothes, so I assume he hurt me. So, I hit him in the most painful part. Liver and vitals.”

I closed my eyes imagining the pain. My hands clenched automatically hearing him mention hugs and kisses, let alone the young man daring to change his clothes. But hearing that he had received the appropriate punishment, I secretly felt proud of Clarissa. Yeah, I know he can take care of himself. The venomous snake he handled casually. We cannot underestimate the enemy. He's been missing for a dozen years.

“She should have just laid on the bed after I punched her heart. He got up and tried to take me back to bed. I was forced to hit his vitals with my knee,” he said casually. “He kidnapped the wrong girl and hired the weak.”

“Do not underestimate your enemy. You have to be careful, Clarissa,” I said reminded.

He stopped cutting the meat on his plate, then turned his head towards me. “Are you worried about me, Hadi? Are you afraid that I might get hurt or hurt?”

“I just don't want you to trouble Papa by looking for your whereabouts again, if anyone does evil to you,” I said indifferently. He just smiled.

Our family dissolved into their own conversation with the person sitting near them. I just listened to the chatter my ears heard and didn't ask Clarissa to speak anymore. He also remained silent until we finished eating.

Om Edu tells Clarissa what is the agreement between them and Luca's parents. Just like Papa told me. They agreed to end the problem peacefully, without involving the authorities.

“I don't mind, Grandpa. I just want him gone from our lives forever,” Clarissa said.

“Don't worry about that, baby. We will not be in touch with their families anymore,” said Aunt Claudia promised. “I will also not introduce you to any man. I realize that you have the right to choose for yourself who will be your husband.”

Just a few more hours, and then I'll be free from all their pranks. No one will be able to force me into a room with Clarissa or sit next to her. Aunt Claudia will stay for another week until Uncle Mason completes his business dealings. During that time, I didn't have to come to this house.

I was glad to be in my room again. Black and Gold also entered and immediately climbed onto my bed. Bizarrely. They don't usually go to my room. Dira is the person they care about the most in this house, so his room is their favorite.

Since I don't understand dog language, I let them do what they like. I don't mind sleeping with them sometimes. Moreover, they are not noisy and do not move until I wake up in the morning.

My bedroom door was knocked on while I was preparing to sleep. I let her in, and Dira came out from behind the door. “Ah, yes. They are here!” he watched our dogs lie on my bed. “They are really understanding dogs.” Dira sat on my bed and took turns hugging the two dogs. “Cranker Turns that can be consolation.”

“Amusement? What consolation?” ask me without lifting my head off my tablet screen.

“As long as I'm heartbroken, they accompany me whenever I feel sad. Since I've made up with Colin, I'm not sad anymore,” he replied giving a hint.

I looked towards Black and Gold. “They just missed me. There's no way they're sitting here because they can understand how I feel. You watch too many videos about dogs and their prowess. They all lied to you.”

“Yes, already, if you do not believe. Let's just see who they'll follow tomorrow all day.” Dira smiled, then got out of bed. “Goodnight, my dear brother.”

“Ya, yes. Enjoy a video call with your future husband,” my tease does not want to lose. He stuck his tongue out at me. I just laughed.

The freedom I was hoping for was simply gone. I didn't have to come to his house, but he came to my house. Every day. The reason is to help your new book project. Dira has experienced it, this time it's my turn. I'm curious. Will Adi also experience the same thing when he has problems with his ex-girlfriend?

Not just one day, during the last week of our vacation, Clarissa came home and stayed until lunchtime. We ate lunch together almost every day. Almost, because I kept my habit of playing basketball with Colin on Saturday mornings.

He remained silent and did not want to talk much about what happened to his family. I didn't force him to open up to me. If the time had come, he himself would have told her everything without anything covered up.

That Monday morning I woke up lazily, because Papa forced me to train interns who will start working today. Though he is not yet my boss but his behavior is like the boss. I couldn't fight back again once Papa threatened to refuse me a job at the company early next year.

Gold and Black ran by my side as we jogged the morning together. Dira laughed a little and ran ahead of me. So obnoxious. Brother's right. Our two dogs accompanied me to bed every night, even following me wherever I went while I was at home.

I don't feel sad or negative emotions. My relationship with Clarissa is over. I didn't expect to go back with him or think about fixing things. So what do these two dogs think that I don't know?

“While they are not permanent employees and only work for three months, I hope you are being nice to them. Don't let me hear a bad report about my own son,” Papa said as we were on our way to his workplace.

“I told you, I don't want to do this, but Papa keeps forcing,” I complained.

“You don't have any courses you follow other than working on the thesis. Rather than you just at home, what's wrong with helping me take care of an intern?” papa said casually.

I nodded hard as I got out of the car. There were so many new faces wearing special clothes walking into the building, white shirts and black pants or skirts. To distinguish interns from employees in this office.

“You will be in charge of marketing, so just wait in their room,” Papa said pointing towards the numbers in the elevator.

I'm according to by dialing the floor number where the marketing division room is located. “Why am I placed in the busiest part? I'm working on a thesis, Pa.”

As is his bad habit, Papa just kept quiet, ignoring my protests. Just the first day, I already disliked the plan to help these apprentices. Three months is a long time. When can I focus on my script?

The employees in that division I know well, especially the manager. I was placed in this section while interning at Papa's company. I don't know why I should be here again. Wouldn't it be better if I studied in another division? But when the temporary servants entered the room, I understood. The reason stands among the apprentice. I pouted, while she smiled sweetly at me.
