Colin fell silent and looked at me with a look of disbelief. He knew that I never lied, so he wouldn't question the information I just said. Dira was indeed insensitive to what the purpose of the man approached him. But I, Wendy, even Adi knew that the young man wanted to be her boyfriend.
I'm very satisfied to see Colin can't concentrate as long as we play. This time he was not as lucky as usual, we were in a different team. I can release the emotions I feel for him a little bit by making him and his team lose a lot. It was just a small punishment because he had already caused my sister to cry.
At lunch, I ate my meal as fast as I could. I had to go home and change clothes so I could join Charlotte's engagement to Wyatt. No calls from Uncle Mason or Om Edu. That means Wyatt hasn't said anything to them.
In anticipation of what will happen at the event, I've already told my family about who Wyatt is and the real reason he approached Charlotte. Dira was very angry and could barely control his emotions. Papa manages to calm her down and asks her not to say anything to her best friend.
On the way to Om Edu's house, we were silent. Papa and Mama were in Papa's car, and me and my sisters were in my car. Dira did not want to attend because he did not want to see his best friend hurt in front of his eyes. But Papa did not allow him to stay at home.
“I can't believe this. Wyatt whom I know very well, sincerely, and love Charlotte is a liar and cooperates with the man who kidnapped Clarissa,”. “I even trust her, give support to their relationship. Basic all men are criminals!”
“Heeii ..!” seruku and Adi simultaneously. “If there is a problem with two men, do not bring our whole race. Colin and Wyatt are indeed shameful people when it comes to romance, but me, Big Brother, and Pak Sakti are not like them.” Adi protests.
“Look at it later. I'll definitely tug at the moor until he's bald. I don't care what reason he did all this. But once he recognizes who he is, he must return to America. I don't want to see that liar around my best friend anymore.”
Despite venting all his emotions by saying everything in his head, Dira still could not control himself when we arrived. He got out of the car and entered Om Edu's house like a soldier ready for battle. Papa and Mama just exchanged glances, while Adi and I tried to be as normal as possible.
Uncle Mason and Edu welcomed us. The women are nowhere to be seen around us, maybe they're still getting ready upstairs or helping Charlotte. I didn't see Wyatt either. I stopped checking around me when Clarissa came near me.
“Hai,” sweep. She looks so beautiful in the yellow clothes she wears. She did not daub the makeup too thick and her hair she let down. “They will be down soon. You know how women are when they're dressing up.”
“I have two girls at home, so a little bit, I know your bad habits,” I said half teasing him. He's laughing a little.
“Are you thirsty? Want to drink something?” he asked while pointing at the table. I took her hand and took her to the table.
Today was going to be a tough day, so I chose black coffee. Clarissa frowned, because she had never seen me drink that kind of coffee. I usually order kapucino every time we go to the cafe. I just smiled in response.
When Aunt Lindsey and Aunt Claudia came down the stairs and joined us, the party atmosphere began to feel. The cheerfulness of my aunt instantly enlivened the event. Until Dira who sat with a pouting face was cheerful again.
I looked up at the stairs when I heard the sound of high heels echoing. Charlotte and Wyatt went down the stairs together. But they did not smile, nor did they join hands as affectionately as usual. Wyatt and I met each other's eyes, so I knew that he had told Charlotte everything.
“Can we gather in the living room now?” pinta Charlotte to her grandmother.
“What's up, baby? Is everything okay?” asked Aunt Lindsey who was embracing her shoulder. Charlotte nodded her head.
We all gathered in the room that Charlotte asked for. Dira looked at me anxiously. I nodded slowly, hinting that everything would be fine. Clarissa was sitting on my left side, while Dira was on my right. Charlotte sits between her two grandmothers and refuses to sit next to Wyatt.
“What happened, Charlotte? Are you two fighting?” ask Aunt Claudia confused. “A few minutes ago you guys were fine, then why so far this way?”
“I'll tell you everything, Grandma.” Wyatt held up his seat. We all looked towards him. “I beg you, forgive me. The first time I approached Charlotte, I had very bad intentions. I know Finley Taylor and she's the reason I'm in a relationship with her.”
“I swear in front of all of you, I love Charlotte so much. I told Finn I'm not going to follow his plan anymore. Mason White's family isn't as evil as he told me, so I'm no longer his ally.
“He threatened several times to dismantle my cover. Before he does that, I have to confess first. I didn't know how to get you all together to apologize, so I used this way. As well as hoping Charlotte will forgive me and continue our intention to get engaged.
“Naif. I-i know. I've been working with people who've kept this family apart for a dozen years with their own family members. That's an unforgivable thing. I just trust him and try to hurt the rest of your family. I know that I was wrong. Please, forgive me.”
“Wow. What is it with our families until adult affairs involve children?” said Aunt Darla concerned. “First, Nora and Vivaldo are ruining Dira's relationship with Colin. Now Finley poisoned Wyatt's mind to hurt Charlotte? Whose turn is next? Are these people shameless?”
“Honey, do something. We've been letting the man do what he wants and get away with it,” Aunt Lindsey told Om Edu. “He should have been arrested for attacking Hadi and Clarissa, why didn't they arrest him too?”
“The criminals confessed that the incident was their own initiative, dear. We can't hold people back without hard evidence. Hendra was already trying to exert everything he had to help catch the man. But there were no messages, emails or CCTV footage that showed Finley ever meeting one of them,” Om Edu replied.
“Before discussing about this man further, can I say something?” ask Charlotte. Aunt Lindsey turned to him and invited him. “What happened this afternoon was very hard for me. Can I go to the room now? I don't want to be in one room any longer with this guy.”
“Of course, darling. I'll take you to your room,” said Aunt Lindsey agreed.
“Grandpa, I want him to come with you back to America tomorrow. Our relationship is over, so there's no point in him being here, ” pinta Charlotte on Uncle Mason getting the nod of the head sign agreed.
“Charlotte,” said Wyatt. The girl just ignored him.
“Let me drive Charlotte to her room, Auntie.” Dira stood up and helped the girl to get up from her seat.
I stared intently at Wyatt, looking as though he was hurt by Charlotte's refusal. But judging from the clothes he and Charlotte were wearing, then this young man was not a good person. Maybe he'll take Charlotte to talk when the show starts. Why wasn't he honest from last night or this morning?
“Charlotte! Charlotte! Please!” dira screams that made us all simultaneously stand up and immediately ran towards the front of the house.

Meanwhile in an apartment~
“Basic group of useless people! What can you do right!? Just taking care of the little ones you're not so darn smug! I paid you all dearly and this is the best job you can do!?” yelled Finley who furiously threw the table lamp against the wall until it broke and scattered on the floor.
“Hadi escaped without a single scuff, Clarissa managed to get back to her family, and Wyatt refused to continue his role. Are there any more failures!? Ada!?” Finley threw whatever was nearby into the wall.
“Please yourself, Finn. If anyone hears of the commotion here, they will report to the security department. You don't want anyone to see your work, ‘kan?” said the man pointing towards the floor full of shards. He stood quite a distance away from Finley, keeping a safe distance with him.
“Do something, Sigit. I want that girl we get, any way.”
“How is it? Are you sure of your orders?” asked the man named Sigit to confirm. Finley looked at him sharply, annoyed that he had to repeat the sentence he said to make his subordinates understand. “Good. Consider it already settled.”
