*Colin*
One small act Dira did could stop the big change that was happening to me. I don't have nightmares anymore. Dad and Mama smiled meaningfully as I went out of the room to have breakfast with them. Lily was nowhere to be seen, then she must still be sleeping in her room.
“Holiday together over the weekend seems like a good thing for you,” Mama said as she placed a plate of fried rice in front of me. “Honey once, you did nothing to get close to him again.”
“Ma, she is recovering after a bad incident happened to her. I don't want to add any more trouble,” I said explaining. “But if you guys want to help answer my question, maybe me and him can get back together in the near future.”
“I will not be provoked,” Mama said firmly.
“Ma, pleaassee ...” I'm pasting. Mama still doesn't care. “I'm out of sense. For me, our relationship is perfect. Why would anyone say that there is less? How can anyone know more about our relationship than I do myself?”
“Didn't Dira think the same? Then your relationship is not as perfect as you thought.” Mama raised both eyebrows, mocking me.
I grunt softly. “Why is Mama more on Dira's side than me? This is unfair.”
Since I couldn't persuade my parents to seek answers, I decided to go to college. Lily does not need to go to school every day because she is waiting for the announcement of the final exam results. Only the first and second graders still go to school.
The final semester exam was in sight, so I wasn't surprised to see many students walking around reading books or discussing certain subjects with people sitting by their side. Things Hadi would never do. He studies every day. Whenever there was a test or a sudden quiz, he was always ready. Unfortunately, I did not catch my best friend's intelligence.
“Good morning, Hadi,” my bro who immediately sat on the empty seat beside him.
“Again, Cole,” replied without lifting his head off his phone screen.
“There's exciting news?” aska I want to know.
“Just learn a document that Papa sent me,” he replied casually.
Hadi knows very well what he will do after graduation, whereas I have not. That's what keeps me from getting too excited about my research proposal. Being a teacher like Dad, I'm not interested. Especially being an assistant like my mom. Hm, but being my best friend's assistant seems fine too.
To this day, what interests me is playing games online. A hobby that has helped me make money. Dad and Mama refused to let my money go to college. They both agreed that the affairs of education up to strata one was their responsibility. But if I want to continue to the master level, then I have to pay myself.
I'm sure there's no job for a fresh graduate who gives me the salary I get from playing games. But this hobby I will not be able to make a source of my livelihood for the long term. If I want to convince Uncle Hendra to give his daughter to me, then I need to have a stable job.
“Good morning, Hadi, Colin,” greet Valeria who just walked into the lecture hall. I was the only one to return his greeting. “I heard Hadi will attend the proposal seminar tomorrow, how about you, Colin? Your proposal hasn't been approved?”
“Lecturers are checking it out. I will get the answer today,” I replied politely. “How about you? Your proposal approved?”
“Same as you. I am also waiting for an answer today. Hopefully there is good news for us.” Valeria touched my shoulder.
Okay... does he think Hadi will be provoked by his change of attitude? He would just feel calm because this girl was not chasing after him anymore. And I don't want to make a bad impression on Hadi. He's my ticket to Dira's heart. So, I moved forward so that Valeria's hand on my shoulder stopped touching me.
After attending two courses, Hadi accompanied me to the department office to meet my lecturer. The student queue of her guidance was long, so I had to be patient waiting for my turn. Hadi sat on one of the empty benches reading out of his phone screen.
“Colin,” said my supervising lecturer while taking one of the proposals from a pile of documents on his desk. “Good work. There is nothing more to fix. Please meet the head of the department to determine your seminar schedule.”
“Thank you very much, Sir!” I shook the man's hand enthusiastically.
Today is my lucky day. Because in addition to getting approval for the seminar, I became the last person to meet the seminar quota at the end of the day. So, I don't have to wait long. Dad and Mama would love to hear this news later.
As usual, Hadi chose to go home after accompanying me, while I went to the library. On the way, I passed through Clarissa's building. But I didn't cross paths with him. So, I continued my steps towards the study room together. And that's where the girl is.
I re-learn a topic I've had enough of reading over the past few months. But I cannot ignore the proposal because the seminar will determine whether I can continue to do research or should change the content of my proposal.
Seeing Clarissa standing up from her seat, I tidied up my book and stuffed the stationery into my backpack. I rushed to chase him out of the study. There's something important I need to tell him.
“What's up, Colin? I know you've been watching me since from the room,” she said as I walked by her side.
I'm laughing a little. “You look very serious, so I didn't bother you earlier.”
“Wah, congratulations! When is your seminar schedule?” ask me to feel happy.
“Lusa. And I'm very stubborn. I'm worried, I won't be able to live it well.” He looked at me with a frown.
“You can definitely. The seminar is the same as when you do a group task, then lecturers and friends ask some things related to the task you are doing.” I tried to calm him down. “Bedanya, you are alone.”
“Will there be any trap questions aimed at testing my knowledge?” askaku.
“If from the experience of the seniors, it will not happen at the time of the proposal seminar, but the thesis hearing. Because it is the result of research, so they need to make sure that you do everything yourself from start to finish. Not paying anyone else,” I said seriously.
“Ah, I know the case. Why would he do it? One more step and he'll be out of college. Why even ruin his four years of hard work on campus by cheating?” tanyanya does not believe at once concerned.
“Yep, what a pity.” I shook my head slowly. “Ah, by the way, there is good news for you. Hadi's going to the proposal seminar tomorrow morning from ten o'clock. If you can escape for a moment from your lecture room, come to our department office.”
“I ...” He's clearing slowly. “Thank you for the information, Colin. But I won't come. He definitely did not like my presence. I don't want to ruin his concentration.”
“I say this as a friend. There will be a lot of girls coming tomorrow to give him support. Ask this to your heart, are you sure you want her with another girl, and not with you?” I said trying to shake his mind. “Starting next semester, you won't see each other often on campus. Are you going to waste the opportunity to give her support when she needs it most?”
Clarissa laughed a little. “Come, Colin. Hadi is an independent man. He does not need the support of others to succeed.”
“I'm his friend from small. He was not as strong as he often showed in front of everyone. But it's up to you. I just want to help if you still want to be with her again.”
“Sebentar.” He took something out of his bag. A cellphone. After glancing at his screen, he touched something on the screen, then placed the phone in his ear. “Hai, Charlotte.”
I couldn't hear what his sister was saying, but his voice was quite loud. I'm sure he's screaming out of happiness. Clarissa's cheerful face is proof of that.
“Really? Congratulations, yes! What about Wyatt? Did he also pass?” ask Clarissa enthusiastically. Passed it? I glanced at the watch to see the date. Ah, is today the SMU third grade student graduation announcement?

“This is not true!” nora exclaimed as she, Vivaldo, and Jordan were herded out of the cell while they. “How can he dare to testify!? He should have languished in the room and not appeared at all to the public again!”
“I told you, this won't do any good. You who want to ruin their family life again.” Vivaldo shook his head.
“Om, Aunt ...” says Jordan tried to break them up.
“Oo, so you want to blame me and wash your hands of this problem? You also want to see that Aramu is suffering. It's not just my wish. Who had the idea to ruin his daughter's reputation? You, Vivaldo!” accuse Nora.
“It wasn't my idea! You ask, who can we approach to hurt Hendra and Ara. I just replied, we approach their daughters. It wasn't me who had the idea of airing her live broadcast without clothes!” vivaldo shouted in anger.
“Already! Stop!” jordan screamed in a louder voice. Vivaldo and Nora directed their attention to him. “What are you doing? Are you not aware? You just confessed your own crime in front of many witnesses.”
Vivaldo and Nora looked around them. The two female policemen and the two male policemen who led them towards the exit looked at them with expressionless faces. They then exchanged glances and their faces instantly paled.
