He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 195 - Reducing the Enemy

He followed me into the car. I chose the nearest place to talk, with no one else to interrupt us. Through the person who was always watching me from afar, Papa must have known what I was doing. I hope he's not angry.

“Choose whatever you want to order,” I said seeing him just staring at the menu book. “I will pay, because I invite you to talk,” said I added seeing him only silent, not saying his order.

After he and I mentioned our order, the waiter standing by the side of the table left us. I've never seen this girl before. But seeing her sitting here, I could see her beautiful face, her fair yellow skin, and her long black hair. Had he not been filled with grudges, he could have gotten any young man. I'm sure there's a lot of people interested in him at this college.

“Sorry, everything is like this,” I said slowly. “If only I had behaved better, maybe we could have resolved the misunderstanding between us well.”

He shook his head slowly. “I am guilty. Whatever you do, I will not stop hurting you or your family. Ii'm sorry. Without me noticing, I let my own mother plant poison in my heart. I know he's guilty, not Om Hendra. But she is my mother, it is my responsibility to trust and defend her.”

He touched his stomach. “I already know who he is now. He just used me to live better. She thought, if I were to be your wife, then our lives would return to how they used to be. After the plan failed, she forced me to abort my baby.” She smiles. “I chose out of the house and live alone.”

“How can you take care of yourself? Do you have any money?” I was surprised, and worried about his situation. If he's alone, it's not a problem. But she was carrying a baby. He needs the support of those closest to him.

“My late papa has prepared a special savings for me until the end of college. That's enough until I'm done. Anyway, it's only a few months away. There's still tens of millions left, because I finished faster. And my mama can't touch those savings.” He smiled with relief. “I've been mean to you. No need to worry about me, Hadi.”

“You are different from Manda and Reese. I know you're just a depressed girl who can do anything to achieve your goals. You're not a bad girl like them. I hope you can live better after parting with your mother,” I said sincerely.

“Thank you, Hadi.” She smiles. “I hope no one is bad to you anymore. Hope you and Clarissa can continue together until old age.”

When our cakes and drinks came, we shared the development of the thesis we were working on. Valeria still had a course she had to complete, so she couldn't get ahead of the hearing before the grades came out later. But he is confident he could finish early next year.

Having lots of friends is fun. Having only one enemy, life has lost its comfort. What Valeria said, I remember well. A man who has evil intentions will not change his plans no matter what I do, unless he alone changes them.

“What girl is so precious that you fight your own papa?” said Papa who suddenly was already in the doorway of my room.

I immediately stood up and made room for him to enter. “I just want to reduce the number of my enemies in the future, Pa,” I replied honestly.

He nodded in understanding, then leaned his hips against my desk. “I heard she doesn't stay with her mom anymore.” I nodded slowly. “Good. I hope his life will be better after being away from the person who made him evil.”

“I'm sorry, Pa. I didn't mean to go against Papa,” I said slowly.

“I told you, do what you think is good. I will always support you.” Papa patted me on the shoulder, then walked out of the room.

The employees who were in the room that Papa passed by were standing and just sitting after Papa came out of our room. I looked at them all with my mouth open. How much charisma Papa until people willing to stop his work for a moment in honor of him.

Justjust look. I can definitely be a leader like Papa, even better. This company also not only survived, but it was advancing in my hands. I don't want to lose to my own father.

Three months after the doctor's prediction, Clarissa would finally remove the cast on her hands and feet. I accompanied him with his whole family. Uncle Mason and Aunt Claudia also came to support their grandchildren. His hand and leg bones recovered perfectly, but he was asked not to force himself to use either.

At the urging of Aunt Claudia and Mama, Clarissa and I formalized our engagement. The show was simple between us and our closest family and friends. However, Papa and Om Edu could not ban journalists from kissing the event. Om Edu was forced to provide a room so they could interview us.

“Said you guys have been promised to each other since you were kids. Is that true?” ask one of the reporters.

“It's true. Mama Hadi and Grandma want their relationship to be more intimate by bringing us both closer.” I let Clarissa answer.

“That's why you've never been close to any woman, Hadi?” ask the others to me. I confirmed his assumption. “But Clarissa's been missing since she was two years old. What makes you believe that he will come back?”

“I just kept a promise spoken between our two parents. Until Clarissa's fate is known, then I don't approach any girl. If there is evidence that can not be denied again that he is dead, then I escape from the promise.” I looked towards Clarissa. “I'm lucky. He came back to me in good health.”

“You keep your distance with many women, but Clarissa does not. She dates a lot of men of different ages. Reportedly, he not only ate or walked with them, there are also those who claimed to have slept with him. Don't you mind that?” asked one of them with a pretended face.

I felt Clarissa tighten her grip on my hand. He definitely did not expect any of them would remind him of his past. “She lives alone out there. What he did was his way to survive. I don't care what he does and with whom, it's all his past. The most important thing at this moment is that we love each other and are ready to build a future together.”

They asked the same thing about Clarissa's past, so I answered all of them. But when one journalist brought up my past, a school incident that should have been unknown to anyone outside of school, I understood. This was what Papa avoided so he never wanted to be interviewed by anyone. They are like vultures impatiently waiting for their prey to die to be eaten.

“Carely accuse without proof. You can get defamation. Me and the girl had no problems and continued our lives. Do your research well before asking,” I said seriously.

“Friends of reporters, thanks for the interview,” said Aunt Gista cut. Clarissa and I survived too. “The event will begin, so we ask you to follow Mr. Abdi to the next room. Food and drinks are available there. If you want to attend the event, please. Please do not take pictures or record, as this event is closed.”

Me and Clarissa stood up, following Aunt Gista's instructions. He came at the right time. I can lose control if I'm left with them any longer. This was a rare opportunity they could get, but they wasted it with all those stupid questions.

“Shortly, Clarissa, Hadi. There is one more question that is very important,” exclaimed a journalist. I closed my eyes trying to calm myself down. We looked over and saw the man staring at his phone screen. “Is Clarissa really pregnant and aborting in an illegal abortion clinic?”

Meanwhile in a room~

Finley clenched his hands firmly looking at the figure of Clarissa and Hadi filling the television screen. They sat so close to a sofa with one of the young man's hands clasped both of the girl's hands on his lap. Their faces were so happy as they answered questions after questions from the reporters.

Even any questions that trap them are answered seamlessly. Finley looked around. The other inmates watched leisurely, also indifferently. Only a few commented that they looked very compatible. Finley's blood is boiling.

“All those people are useless!” finley whispered to himself. “I managed to keep the girl away from her family for many years. But because of all those fools, my plan failed miserably. Manda and Foster are useless. How am I supposed to get out of this place? I need to get out of here as soon as possible. Mila can't marry that young man!”

“He's really gone crazy. Every day he just pounces on himself,” said a man sitting not far from him.

“That's English, stupid! Hence the correct school,” taunted his friend who was sitting next to him. Finley glanced at them. “See me, here's how to talk to bule.”
