He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 132 - The Secret of His Heart

I was already awake, but I deliberately did not open my eyes and waited until he woke up first. I don't know why I'm doing this. It's definitely not because I want to be in this tent alone with her for longer. No. gabe. That's not the reason.

We did not speak again last night after he declared his wish that we would definitely get back together. I'm curious. What can he do to change my mind? My mom just doesn't care, let alone her opinion.

A hand touched my cheek, almost making me open my eyes. Even though I didn't see, I could feel Clarissa staring at my face. What the hell is he doing? Why is he caressing my cheek like this? Should I open my eyes or let him think I'm still sleeping?

“I love you, Hadi.” My heart almost stopped hearing him say it. Clarissa loves me? Since when? “Wait until I'm brave enough to say this in front of you. I still gather courage. Wait a minute, yes.”

Not to mention that my surprise was gone, he kissed my forehead. Then his hand no longer touched my cheek. I heard his movements in front of me. He got up and fixed my blanket. When I heard the zipper open, I knew that he was coming out of the tent. The door's closed back. I waited until the sound of her footsteps moved away from the tent.

I exhaled with relief. Without me noticing, I held my breath so that he would not realize that I was awake. I still can't believe what I just heard. Clarissa loves me. How could I not know? Is that why he wishes we could get back together? Because he loves me?

Wyatt and Adi came to help when they saw me trying to move the tent to a dry place and exposed to the sun. They both smiled meaningfully, but I just ignored them. When I finished, I went into the villa.

I entered the bathroom, changed clothes, and joined them in the dining room. Seeing Dira smiling amusedly, I approached her. He was prepared to take a hit, but I didn't do that. I hugged her and was reciprocated with everyone's astonished gazes. Clarissa was nowhere to be seen, maybe she was still in the room.

“Kakak?” tanya Dira was confused. “Is Brother okay? Brother is sick from the cold in the tent?” He held my hand and stretched out his hand to grab my forehead.

“I'm fine. Spend your meal.” I looked at the bread on the plate. I sat down on the empty chair next to Wyatt, then took the sandwich on the serving plate. “What will you do today?”

“Me and Charlotte will take Luca to the Safari Park. Adi and Lily also want to come,” replied Wyatt. “Dira and Colin will stay at home only. How about you?”

“I'm here with Dira and Colin. You guys please have fun.” I bit my bread and my heart automatically beat faster when the main room door opened, then he came out. The scent of perfume, shampoo, or anything that came out of his body immediately entered my olfactory. It's a smell that I miss so much.

Hold still. What did I just think? I don't miss Clarissa let alone her signature fragrance. I have to stay in my mind. But my body cannot lie. My heart was beating so happily that she was near me. The same reaction when we were together. It all came to this just because I heard her declaration of love.

“So, what happened last night? You guys fighting or making out?” goda Charlotte's. Dira laughed a little. “You both look weird this morning.”

“We can't sleep until the morning. Who wouldn't behave strangely during sleep deprivation?” clarissa defended herself. I looked at Charlotte and Dira to show that I agreed with Clarissa's opinion.

“We will go for a walk, do you want to come, Clarissa?” ask Wyatt.

Clarissa shook her head. “I'm not sure I'll be a good travel companion. I'm sleepy and can fall asleep on the road later. You guys are the ones who go.” My heart was pounding again happily hearing the same answer as me.

Charlotte and Dira exchanged glances, then smiled meaningfully. I didn't say anything seeing their strange behavior. This time I forgive them, for their service has given me the opportunity to hear Clarissa's true feelings for me.

Luca looks disappointed as he leaves with Wyatt and his entourage. Maybe he thought that Clarissa would come when I said no. Today he learned that he misjudged the girl. The ones who like to walk around are Charlotte and Dira, Clarissa doesn't.

Although Luca was absent, I did not refuse as Clarissa sat by my side and leaned her body against me a little. Colin and Dira who were sitting by our side occasionally glanced and smiled. Both Clarissa and I ignored their behavior.

After knowing his heart, I could feel my attitude towards him a little more tenderly. I no longer felt angry or upset with him. I understand why he always wants to be around me. The same thing I felt before he broke my heart.

But our closeness did not make me change my mind. As soon as Luca and his parents get home, we'll stop doing this. I don't want to repeat the same mistake. This girl hurt me so badly, then she could have done it again. There is no guarantee that he has changed and will fight with me as long as we are together.

I am keeping my heart as good as possible. I didn't let my hope appear as she sat near me, put her head on my shoulder, hugged my body, or kissed my cheek. All of that I consider part of our drama.

“Finally, until also at home.” Charlotte patted my shoulder. “Thank you, Hadi.” He immediately got out of the car as soon as Wyatt reached out his hand to him.

Wyatt and Luca take their belongings from the trunk, then enter the house. I brought a bag of souvenirs for Om Edu and Aunt Lindsey. One of their servants took the bag out of my hand. I looked towards Clarissa.

“Better I go straight home. I'll have dinner at home just so I can get some sleep. Tomorrow's your sister's engagement. I don't want to look less rested,” I said explaining.

“Good. See you tomorrow.” He hugged me, then let me go.

“Until tomorrow.” I nodded, then turned my body.

“Hadi.” He grabbed my right hand so I stopped my steps. I turned my head and he just opened his mouth, but not a single word came out.

This is not the first time he has behaved like that. During the past two days in the villa, he also several times only opened his mouth, but did not say anything. He must have wanted to express his feelings. I don't know what made him so afraid to say it bluntly. Was she worried my reaction wasn't what she expected.

“What's up, Clarissa? You have a message for my mom?” I pretend I don't know.

He closed his mouth and nodded slowly. “Ng, be careful on the road.”

“Definitely. I'll tell you as soon as I get home,” I said promise. He nodded slowly, then let go of my hand.

Mama greeted me hysterically as soon as I got home. He thought that something had happened between me and Clarissa while we were alone in the tent. I squinted at Dira who was laughing amusedly behind Mama. I explained what really happened. We just talk and sleep side by side. Mama doesn't believe it. He was sure that something more had happened.

Until the next day we went to Clarissa's house to attend Charlotte's engagement, Mama still asked me to tell her what really happened. Dira and Adi were greatly comforted by the misfortune that befell me. They just keep laughing happily.

For the first time, we met Mr and Mrs Jefferson. Wyatt was so similar to his father that as they stood side by side, they looked like brother and sister. Mom and Dad were soon familiar with the couple. We mingled with the people who were in the yard. Dira and Adi are joined by Colin and Lily. I'm looking for Clarissa.

“You must be looking for me.” I heard a voice coming from behind me. I looked up and saw him standing next to me with a happy face. She was very beautiful with her hair clasped and natural makeup on her face. The clothes she wears do not make her look mature, although the model is no longer for young girls. “Are you just going to keep looking at me?”

“Ah, forgive me. You are so beautiful,” my praise is sincere.

He took a surprised breath. “Did I not hear wrong? Hadiyan Perkasa praised my appearance?”

“No need to exaggerate. You know that you are a pretty girl.” I hugged her waist and kissed her forehead as soon as I felt someone watching us. There's only one person in this place who will keep an eye on our movements. Clarissa's face flushed. “I didn't see Wyatt's parents last night. Did they just arrive?” I switched topics.

“Of course you didn't meet them. Unlike Luca and his parents, they prefer to stay at the hotel and refuse to inconvenience our family,” he said meaningfully.

“Is Luca being nice to you last night?” I asked while following him who brought me closer to the serving table.

“He is still trying to get close to me, but I don't ignore him,” he replied casually. “Today he was more polite because his parents had come home from Bali.”

“Oh, they are here?” many surprised. “I think they will return to America from Bali.”

“The plan is so. But they changed it and will return tomorrow from Jakarta.” Clarissa filled her plate first, I followed from her side. “But I've been feeling bad since this morning. I don't know what makes me so restless.”

“What do you mean?” I asked as he whispered the last sentence. He just shrugged his shoulders. “You must be restless, because today is our last day.”

He smiled as he looked at me. “I told you, I won't let you go, Hadi.”

“If he doesn't want you, why are you forcing him, Clarissa?” Clarissa and I were shocked to hear that voice. “I can make you happy, more than he can do,” Luca said seriously. How could he understand what we were talking about?
