He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 8 - Shopping

*Hadi*

Grandma Anya and Grandma Naava immediately got into the car with Mama sitting in the back seat, as Dira sat by my side. I smiled to see my sister roll her eyeballs looking at the behavior of our two grandmothers. When everyone was sitting neatly, I ran the car out of the yard.

Next week is Dira's birthday. As always, we celebrate with the whole family as well as close friends Papa and Mama. Of course Dira would invite his friends, but he limited the people who could come. She was indeed a supple girl, not that she was familiar with everyone close to her.

Naava's grandmother wanted to buy Dira a new dress on her special day. My sister had begged them to order through an online shopping app on her phone, but Grandma refused. They do not want to experience the drama of goods that arrive not according to the order.

I understand why Dira does not like to shop directly by going to stores or boutiques. As a famous teenage model, it was difficult for her to be in a public place without being recognized by the people around her. Often they are not just looking at it, there are those who ask to take a picture together or sign a signature. He didn't like all that attention.

Dira wore a hat and sunglasses to disguise his face as he got out of the car. They entered the mall, while I was looking for an empty place to park the vehicle. It took me a long time to get somewhere because today is Sunday.

Wanting to eat something light and drink coffee, I headed to one of the restaurants that served quite good coffee. The waiter immediately escorted me to an empty table because I only came alone. Knowing what I was going to order, I turned down the menu book she had proffered and mentioned the food and drink I wanted.

I pulled out my phone as it shook. Incoming call from Mom. “Ya, Ma?”

“Where are you? Don't forget to wait in line to book a place at Grandma Naava's favorite restaurant. We'll have lunch there at exactly twelve,” Mama said. I glanced at my watch. There was still an hour to sit back in this place.

“OK, Mom. We'll eat five or Papa and both Grandpa's will follow?” my many.

“Only five of us,” replied Mama followed by a conversation between Mama and Grandma Anya also Dira. “Ah, I have to end the phone. Remember, do not forget to reserve a place at the restaurant.”

I can already imagine they are arguing over which dress or dress is suitable for Dira to wear later. At the end of the day they're going to buy three clothes they like and my sister has to bear the burden of choosing the one she's going to wear. That means there are two people who will feel hurt because their clothes are not selected. My family drama.

If Papa knew I was sitting at a restaurant and not accompanying them, I would definitely be given a lecture for over an hour. But accompanying women shopping is hell for me. They can walk from one corner to another, boutique to boutique for hours without feeling tired. At the end of the day, they buy clothes, shoes, or bags that they first see at the first boutique. That's an annoying sight.

Mama always allowed me to wait in one place that I liked as long as they were shopping. I am not obliged to go with them wherever they go. After all in this crowded place there would be no one who would dare to harm or kidnap them. But if there is a Papa, then I have to follow wherever Mama or Dira stepped.

The waiter delivered my order and my eyes caught a familiar figure as I raised my head. A dark brown short-haired young lady was sitting not far from my desk. Beside him was a man who placed his hand on his shoulder with his thumb twitching the girl's shoulder.

Her hair color is different, but her face, skin color, and movements look familiar to me. She had not realized that I was watching her, so I could not see her face clearly.

Seeing a servant coming to them with a small tray, I immediately finished my meal and drank my coffee. I don't know why I'm doing this, but I pay my bills at the cashier so I can follow them.

The girl I suspected was finally turning her head towards me when the man entered an electronics store. He stood near the entrance of the shop and swept a glance around him as our eyes met. He just missed me before he looked back at me. And his eyes widened as soon as he recognized me.

Although the color and the hairstyle were different, even the color of her eyes was darker, I will not forget the face I just saw two days ago. Mila's. Why is he here with another guy who looks like his girlfriend? Is he cheating on Colin's back?

I sighed loudly at the queue of people waiting for their turn to eat inside the restaurant. I approached the waiter standing in front and mentioned the number of people who would eat with me. Since all the seats to wait were filled, I was standing not far from the restaurant.

As soon as my family arrived, just five minutes of waiting, we were welcome to enter. I took over all the bags and grocery bags they brought and let them pick the food for me. All those bags I need to keep in the car. When I returned later, the food must have just been delivered, so we could eat casually.

All the stuff I brought I put in the back of the car. When I was near the emergency stairs to the elevator, there was a noise and noise. I stopped my steps when I recognized the voice of the girl who spoke out loud enough.

I turned towards the emergency stairs and looked for the source of the commotion. At the bottom of the stairs from where I was standing a young woman was pressing on the neck of a man with her elbow, then twisting her hand on her lower back, while the man's chest was stuck to the wall.

“Touch me one more time, then your hand will I break. You hear that?” the woman said in a whispering voice. But his voice echoed so I could hear him.

“I didn't do anything that crossed the line. You seduced me yourself, and then you pretend to be a victim now? Let go of me!” snatch the man.

Fucking loser. How could he lose so much to a woman? In such a helpless state, he instead acted arrogantly, instead of apologizing. If I were that woman, I would break her hand.

This girl can too. He knows how to take care of himself. When observed from the way he stood and mounted the horses, he would have known a lot about martial arts. He not only focused his strength on the man's body, but was also wary if anyone attacked him from behind.

“So, you chose to play rough. You must have never met Sigit. Give my regards to her when she visits you later.” The girl suddenly removed her hand from the man, turned around, and climbed the stairs. He walked towards me.

“Fuck women! Don't escape! Restore my new money you can go!” The dark-eyed man chased after the young woman. But he stopped when he saw me. He looked behind me. There must have been some other visitors who came because they were curious to hear the noise from here.

Realizing that he would have no chance at all to hurt this girl, he turned around and descended the stairs towards the lower floor. The one who wanted to go up only looked at him in confusion. I pulled the girl's hand because we were blocking the way of those who wanted to use the emergency stairs.

“Please, release my hand,” said the girl. He lowered his head and tried to change his voice, but he could no longer lie to me anymore.

“Let them pass first,” I said no matter the request.

Those who stood behind me one by one went down the stairs, the rest came back out through the door. I looked at the girl's face carefully. Even though he looked down, I could see that he was wearing contact lenses. Then this hair must be a wig.

“Who are you really? Why do I feel you look familiar?” askaku.

“Sorry, I don't know you. You must be wrong people.” He pulled his hand from me, this time I let him. Without waiting any longer, he walked towards the door.

“I know you are Mila,” I said and she stopped her steps. “But I'm sure it's not your real name. Whoareyou? What is your goal to get close to Colin?”
