“Since when are you here, Claudia??” ask Mama surprised. “Why didn't you tell me you were coming?”
“I want to give you all a surprise. Something bad happened to my granddaughter, of course I came and made sure that she would be fine,” Aunt Claudia shifted so we could see Clarissa sitting in her wheelchair.
“Hai, darling!” Mama immediately kissed Clarissa's cheeks. “Finally, we met too. Can you see already? You look me in the face well.”
Clarissa smiled. “Already, Aunt. I can already see Auntie clearly.”
“Sgratitude.” Mama caressed his face. “Hadi is still in the office, so I can monopolize you.” Mama laughed amusedly. “Come, there is your favorite cake in the dining room.” He turned and pushed the wheelchair. Aunt Claudia followed them. I shook my head.
Wyatt, Charlotte, and Wendy walked together into my house. We took food and drinks, then sat down together. I was forced to leave them when Grandma Naava called me from the doorstep of the living room.
“Is that your friend named Wendy?” ask Grandma. I immediately nodded. “I need to talk to him now.”
“Grandma will do that now??” I just don't believe it. She smiles. “Shortly, Grandma. I'll call him. Grandma just wait inside, yeah.”
I went back to my friends and invited Wendy to follow me. He looked at me confused. We don't have much time if Papa arrives later, then I slightly pull his hand. The curious Charlotte and Wyatt followed us to the living room.
“Wendy, please sit down, baby,” said Grandma Naava invited him to sit on the sofa in front of her. Wendy complied and I sat by her side.
“A-what's up, Grandma? Did I do something wrong?” ask Wendy worried. He swept his eyes around her. All four of my grandparents were just laughing amusedly.
“You did nothing wrong,” Grandma Naava said. “I have a gift for you. You know that I'm active in social activities. My granddaughter, Dira, talks about you often. I was wondering, why am I involved with so many kids out there, but ignore the ones near me.”
Grandma placed the envelope she was holding on the table, then pushed it closer towards Wendy. “This is an ATM card that you can use for your tuition fees. Give me back the card when you graduate. I'll fill it up to twenty million at the beginning of the month. I hope that amount can help your college, as well as your sister's school.”
“No, Grandma. This is a lot,” said Wendy who cried touched. “My salary during part-time work has never been this much.”
“Lecture is not easy. You can't do it while working if you want to finish fast, Wendy. Accept it. Better this scholarship I give to the person I know is responsible for his life than to the person I do not know,” persuaded Grandma.
Wendy looked at the envelope and Grandma alternately. The tears that wet his cheeks fell even more. “Te-thank you. Thank you very much. I promise to learn as best I can. I will show you the results of my studies at the end of each semester as proof. Thank you, Granny.”
“Sama-sama, dear,” reply Granny who was moved. Wendy stood up, then sat down next to Grandma so she could hug him. Thankfully, I was skeptical that my best friend would be so stubborn and refuse such help. I purposely told Grandma that she could go to college quietly, without worrying about the cost anymore.
“You were right too,” whispered Charlotte who stood by my side. “She won't be able to refuse your grandmother's gift. I thought he would have turned it down earlier.”
Charlotte and I signaled several times that we wanted to help her and her sister's school fees a little. But Wendy just kept refusing. Though we know that his savings have been widely used for the initial cost of entering college. Even though we study at a public university, the tuition fees are not cheap.
“There is one more surprise for you,” said the mysterious Grandma. I smiled hearing it. He stood up, then took Wendy's hand to follow her out of the room. We walked to the front door. “I know that the distance of your home and campus is quite far. You have to leave early in the morning to attend class. I also know that you already have a SIM.”
Wendy looks confused. We stopped in front of a new motorcycle that was deliberately decorated with ribbons in front of our garage door. Wendy squealed in surprise. Grandma Naava nodded slowly. The bike was for Wendy. He came back crying.
“You can leisurely go to campus after dropping off your sister to her school. Don't think about the tax on this bike. I'll send the money once a year while you're in college,” Grandma said.
“Today is Om Hendra's birthday. Why did I get so many gifts?” wendy said. Grandma rubbed her back. “One more time, thank you.”
“Sama-sama, dear. Come, try. When it feels uncomfortable, we can still trade it.” Grandma pushed him a little closer to the vehicle. Wendy according. He saw the key was in his contact, then turned it on. Mr. Liando helped open the ribbon so that Wendy could sit down.
We smiled to see him riding that motorcycle nimbly. I felt a lump on my shoulder. I looked up and saw Grandma smiling at me. I thanked him. He nodded happily.
My brother and I decided to give it to him later when everyone was home. We enjoyed dinner wherever we wanted. Mama took Papa to the side garden of the house, while Colin and I stayed in the front hall. Everyone seemed to be happy with their food and those around them.
“Clarissa has seen clearly again is very good news,” Colin said slowly. “Wendy who got a lot of gifts is also good news.”
Wendy hit Colin's arm. “Don't make me cry again,” he said moved. “Don't give me anything. Had enough. You know that I don't like to owe.”
“Utang budi?” Colin laughed amusedly. “The Dira family has everything. They give not because they expect a reward, but because they know you deserve it. Remember your own promise. You will show your results at the end of each semester. Hope you don't have a C or D.” Colin stuck out his tongue.
“My grades were bad, because I couldn't learn all the time. The conditions are different now. I will prove that my grade can be better than yours,” said Wendy did not want to lose.
“We'll see later. You have not met the killer lecturer at the beginning of the semester,” said Colin scare us. He laughed with satisfaction at seeing us a little trepidation.
“What did you do to my sister and her best friend?” ask the brother who joined us. He sat in front of us with Clarissa by his side.
“Just tell them that college in our major is not as easy as they imagine,” Colin replied casually. “They think all our lecturers are as friendly and as good as the lecturers they met in the first semester.”
Brother laughed a little. “You shouldn't ruin that surprise, Colin. I've closed my mouth, because I want to see my sister come home from college crying.”
“I'm sorry I had to ruin that wish of yours, Hadi.” Colin put his hand on my shoulder. “Dira has become my wife in her second year of college. So, she won't stay here.” Brother groaned slowly. “Satisfy yourself teasing my future wife until February next year. Because after that, she's only mine a.”
“Ah, yes! I forgot.” Brother patted his forehead. He looked towards Wyatt. “Then I ask Wyatt to record his facial expression when I meet the lecturer.” I pouted hearing it, as the other friends laughed.
“Your sister will marry you first, do you not mind, Hadi?” ask Clarissa. He looked at me and Colin meaningfully.
“Why should I object? They had long planned their wedding day. You already know when I plan to get married. After finishing my master studies,” said Big Brother casually. “Or don't you mind your sister getting married first?”
“You should change your plan then, Hadi.” Someone joined us. I looked up and saw a girl whose face I knew. But I don't know the girl next to him. Her hand rubbing her stomach caught my attention. “There is a child who can't wait until you finish your further studies. We must get married soon.”

Several hours before~
A servant opened the door for a woman who looked anxiously hopeful. He entered the room. His eyes were round looking at the man sitting on a chair on the only table inside.
“Hendra! I can't believe this. You invited me to come??” tanyanya happy. A man standing beside Hendra immediately blocked him from approaching. “I'm his friend, not a bad guy.” The woman tried to escape Hendra's bodyguard.
“Sit. I didn't ask you to come to reminisce,” said Hendra coldly. He just sat quietly staring at the chair in front of him. The woman complied and sat in front of him. “What did you tell your daughter about me?”
“My daughter Valeria? What is his relationship with you?” The woman asked back.
“Did you tell him that I killed your husband? Or are you slandering me by saying that I threw you in jail?” ask Hendra.
“Ti-no. I didn't say anything about you to him,” said the woman in self-defense.
“Then why did he keep interfering with my son's life?” hendra demanded. “Your daughter is pregnant, Keva. Do you know that? She intends to use it to get my son to marry her.”
