He's The Unaffordable

He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 193 - Wishing Peace

The first message from a representative of a company whose name is very famous. It contained an apology for the inconvenience I experienced at the time of their ad star audition. The second message was also from a representative of a well-known company with similar content. I looked towards Papa. This must be because Papa has spoken to them. Real nice. I hope they don't do the same to me or the other victims.

“What's up, son? Is anyone bothering you?” he asked, seeing that I was busy with my phone.

I immediately shook my head. “No, Pa.” I hugged his body tightly. “Thank you. I've received apologies from all of them.”

Papa kissed my hair while rubbing my back. “No one can insult, humiliate, let alone harass my daughter in front of so many people. Don't just shut up if someone still dares to insult you.” I nodded according.

Adi who was originally so arrogant with his ability did not stop biting fingers saw Papa and I who came out as winners. The older brother kept mocking Adi who could not prove what he said himself. Mama who tried to damage Papa's concentration by playing eyes also could not make their team win once.

“How? You still can't believe that Papa is good at playing cards?” my taunts to Adi.

“Just learn. Papa's experience has been decades, while I have only played a few times like this,” Adi said defensively. Me and Brother Hadi ria-huu heard it.

“Your word, the most important is strategy. No offending the age issue,” I reminded.

Adi evaporated wide. “I'm sleepy. Good night all.” He intended to stand up, but Kak Hadi immediately pulled his hand until he sat back down.

“I believe in you, so I want a team with you. Turns out you're just a big gibberish.” Sister tickles Adi's waist. I'm doing the same thing.

“Ampun! Forgive me!” yelled Adi while laughing out loud. We all laughed with him.

I slept well after playing with my family. Waking up in the morning and exercising together is fun in the morning. Gold and Black ran in front of our lead. I smiled seeing him. Not running next to anyone is a good thing. None of us are sad.

We were having breakfast together when Mr. Abdi walked into the dining room and told me there was a bouquet of flowers. I accepted. White roses combined with baby’s breath. There are cards among the roses. I put the bouquet on the table and opened the card. Apologies from a reputed company representative who sent a message the night before.

I looked towards Mom and Dad. “They've sent a message and apologized. Why are they sending flowers again?” many confused.

Mom exchanged a look with Papa. “Is it from a company whose jury insulted you at the time of the audition?” ask Mama. I'm nodding. “You should ask them that. We don't know-how why they do this.”

“Ciiee …. Is it possible next they will give their son to Sister?” adi Goda. I pouted hearing it.

It wasn't the only bouquet that was delivered home. There were dozens of other bouquets that followed until I left with Adi and Pak Sakti. I left the business to Mama and Mr. Abdi. I focused on my studies and my time with Charlotte, Wyatt, and Wendy.

We walked together to the cafeteria when I was forced to stop. Wendy suddenly hugged me. He didn't say anything, so I turned to him. “Wendy, what's up?” manyworry. Did something happen to her parents or her sister?

“I do not know what my studies will be without your help, Dira,” he said. “Thank you.”

“Hey, you have enough to say thank you.” I rubbed his arm. “Your relationship with Grandma is not finished. So, don't feel relieved first.” I'm trying to melt the atmosphere. I heard Wendy's laughter.

“Iya. We are witnesses who hear the vows you make almost every day. The results of your studies every semester should be good,” Charlotte said to tease Wendy.

“That's a small problem.” Wendy let go of his embrace. I thrust out a tissue and he took some sheets, then wiped his face. “I'm serious. My grade will be higher than the three of you.”

“Maybe it will be higher than Wyatt. But not from me,” Charlotte said confidently. Wyatt immediately hugged her and ruffled her hair until Charlotte asked for mercy.

Can our lives be peaceful like this forever? Laugh every day and no longer have enemies who want to hurt us. Is my hope too great that it is hard to come true? I live as well as I can, treating others as respectfully as possible, but there are always people who don't like me.

In a moment, I finished replying to all the messages that came in the night before. Hopefully they stop sending things as their apologies. I don't even know what to do with all these products. The food and drink we could spend together and I'm sure the expiration date is still a few months away. But how can we use things that cannot be eaten?

“Wah. What's the matter?” Colin's voice came from behind me.

“Hai, darling!” I immediately approached and hugged her tightly.

Colin laughed a little. I felt him kissing my head. “What is Grandma Naava going to hold a social event so that you can post items that will be shared in your home?”

“No. You won't believe.” I let go of my embrace, but still wrapped my left hand around her waist. “This is all a shipment from the company whose jury insulted me at the audition. You remember what happened a few days ago, ‘kan?”

“I remember everything you told me,” his murmur was gobsmacked. “You must have told Uncle about their treatment.”

“Iya. And at night, an apology message came into my phone. They sent a bouquet of flowers this morning, now this.” I pointed at the pile of cardboard.

“Then what will you do with all this?” tanyanya's confused.

“You've given me a great idea. I'll tell Grandma. She definitely knows what to do with all this.” I pulled out my phone. “If there is something you like, you can take as much as you want.”

Grandma promised she would come the next day to take all of that stuff from home. Thankfully, on Sunday there will be a social event that will be accompanied by the distribution of basic food. They must be happy to get other items besides the staple food.

Thank you filled my inbox and I'm sure they won't send me anything more. Colin was reluctant to choose the one thing he wanted, so I gave him a box of potato chips. I know that he and his family love watching television while eating chips. Moreover, the chips are the same brand and taste that they and their family like.

“How do I carry this much stuff with my motorcycle, baby?” his weakness.

“Pak Sakti will help tie the cardboard in the back seat. Just relax.” I invited him to sit in the family room.

I'm glad to see Colin is free to move. There was no worried expression on his face. It seemed that he did not experience trauma or harbor anger over what Laras and the policemen had done to him. I hope the same thing doesn't happen again.

Colin came just to see Brother and asked for his help with regards to the thesis he was working on. I let them discuss both. Mama smiled meaningfully seeing me sitting by Adi's side.

“See our daughter, Pa,” Mama said as if I couldn't hear her. “I remember once, he used to be angry himself whenever Hadi and Colin just want to be alone.”

“Don't equate the present me with the little one, Ma. We are obviously two different people,” my protest. “Times small, my friend is just Big Brother and Colin.”

“A quick time passes, yes, dear. Children have started to be independent, completed studies, then they will form their own families,” said Mama slowly. I don't know why I feel sad to hear it. “Dira will be the first to leave our house, followed by Hadi, then Adi. Soon we'll just be alone here.”

“Mama don't worry. I'm gonna stay a long time with Papa and Mama in this house. I will not marry young like Kak Hadi and Kak Dira,” Adi comforted Mama.

“You say this now. But once you fall in love and meet the right woman, you will follow in the footsteps of your two older sisters. Go from this house to build your own family,” Mama said refuting.

“Hadi will stay some time with us after marriage, dear. Then they stayed at Edu's house to accompany their old age. He and Colin don't live far from us. They will come to visit often. We who come to their apartment can also,” said Papa. “When they have children, believe me, they will trouble you by leaving them here.”

Mom looked towards Papa. “They never told me that. How can you know?” ask Mama wonder.

Papa smiles. “Just guess. Our two children will work, as will our two future daughters-in-law. Who would look after their children if not you?”
