He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 126 - Intentional

I grimaced in pain. “Honey? What the hell's going on? Where does that hurt?” asked Colin who immediately hugged my body and brought me closer to one of the chairs.

“Your knees are red like this when you don't feel pain from earlier?” vikal was worried. “Did you fall on stage? You wear your usual shoes, ‘kan? Is it because long time does not walk on the catwalk, so you slipped?”

“No.” I shook my head slowly. Due to my pale skin, the bruising color on my knee is clearly visible. The pain is not as severe as it seems.

“If he slips, then he will fall down and hurt his butt. Not his knee hit the floor.” I complained of pain when Colin touched my knee. “Dira, what are their gazes inside that keep you from concentrating?” I shook my head.

“Excuse.” A man interrupted us. I turned my head and saw a young man dressed in white carrying a P3K box. “Are you the participant who fell on stage?”

“Iya,” I replied slowly. It seems he is a medical officer who was deliberately prepared by the committee if there are participants who need medical help.

“Good.” He knelt down in front of me and placed the box by his side. “Sorry, please, give me space.” He looked towards Colin who was unwilling to move from his place.

“What do you want to do until I get away from my girlfriend?” colin did not like it. I sighed softly seeing her jealous at the wrong time and place.

“I just need space to be able to check the state of his knee and give the right medicine,” the man said patiently. “But if you don't want to, it's okay.”

The man checked my knee, then looked for something in the medicine box. After finding what he was looking for, he opened an ointment and took out a little bit onto his finger. Before he applied the ointment to my knee, Colin prevented it.

“Let me just. Simply apply to her flushed knee, ‘kan?” Colin took the ointment out of the medics hands.

“Iya.” The man just laughed. I didn't know where to put my face to shame with Colin's attitude. Since when did he have this trait? He had never cared about the behavior of others who were close and familiar to me.

“Im sorry about my girlfriend's attitude. Usually he is not like this,” I said to the man with disdain.

He's laughing a little. “It's okay. I'm also if you have a girlfriend as beautiful as you won't let any man touch her.” He blinked one eye at me.

Hearing that, I just laughed. Just be right. Is that the best thing he can say? Did he think that since I was young, then I would be tempted by such cheap words? Fortunately, Colin acted faster. Otherwise, I could vomit feeling his hands applying ointment on my knees.

After the man left, Colin and Vikal pulled up a chair so they could sit near me. “No. We better not talk here,” I said, understanding their facial expressions. I don't want the other participants or the committee to listen to what I'm about to say.

“Your knee is sick. We can't move anywhere else to talk, Dira,” Colin said, looking around us.

I pouted hearing it. “You can be romantic earlier, then now you do not know how to see your lover is injured?”

Colin was stunned for a moment. He looked around us. “You sure you want to do that here? In front of many people?”

“Ya, already, if you don't want.” I crossed my hands in front of my chest.

“What are you talking about?” ask Vikal confused. “You just talk about why there should be a sulking event like this? Come on, Dira, say it quickly. What happened inside?”

I speak a thousand languages. Colin groaned slowly. “Please, you bring this bag,” he said give my bag to Vikal. “Ayo, fast. Before I change my mind.”

I immediately wrapped my hand around his neck, and Colin lifted my body. Vikal rolled his eyeballs so he understood what we were fussing about. Colin carried me out of the hotel until we got back to the coffee shop. I don't care about the look of the people who are looking at us. What's wrong with carrying a girlfriend whose leg hurts to and fro?

Vikal ordered drinks and snacks for us, as I told him what I had experienced while inside. They were disappointed, because I didn't take the time to see what was happening so I fell down.

“Each audition participant walks in and walks on stage one by one. There were no participants who met each other so as not to confuse the jury when giving an assessment. So, there's no way they did it. Then how can there be an invitation or committee that seeks to abort you?” ask Vikal slowly.

“Because I've asked and not a single participant has fallen apart besides you. That means what happened to you was intentional. I can't go inside to ask the committee or the guests. If I could, I would know who did it.” Vikal bites his nails, his habit when feeling nervous.

“Why do you have to know who did it? The committee will definitely disqualify him if he cheats in front of a lot of people. With the knockout system, we will not know which participants do not pass and which are disqualified,” I said casually.

“Did you forget your papa?” Vikal's face paled. “There will be no model and artist who will want to hire me if your papa fires me. That bruise on your knee you won't be able to hide from him, Dira.”

Oh. Lord. Vikal said it right. The fear he showed was very natural. Papa would be very angry if he knew I had a bad thing when I auditioned. It is not just Vikal's career that is over. My career is on the edge too.

I couldn't hide the bruises on my knees when I got home. Mom screamed in panic to see him. I tried as fast as I could to the room. Colin who was standing by my side helped me walk towards the living room at Mama's request.

The second Mama knows the condition of my knee, at that second also Papa will know. Mama never put off telling Papa about the bad things that happened to us. I didn't mean to hide this from Papa. But I wish I could wait until tomorrow to be better prepared to hear his anger.

Brother and Adi who then walked into the living room smiled meaningfully. What are they both doing to get into this room? Do you want to watch something that is about to happen? So annoying. Only they are brothers who are happy in the suffering of their own brother. They must have heard the roar of Papa's car so simultaneously come here.

“What's true I heard?” said Papa who entered the living room with a red face. He looked towards my knee, then glared at Colin. “This is what you call going to keep my daughter as strong as you? Whatisit? How could my daughter get hurt?”

“Pa, listen to my explanation. Don't be so angry,” I said slowly. “Colin innocent. I fell on the walk on stage.”

“Then where is he? Why doesn't he take care of you?” ask Papa still angry.

“Nobody should be around the stage, except jury, committee, and invitation, Pa. If all the families of participants are allowed to enter, then the jury will be disturbed by their cheers on certain audition participants,” I said to give an explanation.

“You know who did this?” ask Papa impatiently. He put something on his phone. Papa sent a message to whom? “Dira?”

“Ah, ti-no, Pa. After falling down, I stood up and continued walking backstage. I don't know what or who caused me to fall,” I replied honestly.

Papa put his phone on the table. “I've asked Irwan to check if there are any photos, videos or CCTV footage that can help us to know who did it. Why can't people just a day not bother you?”

“Don't be too hard on yourself, baby. There are always people doing bad things every day. That's the usual thing. They are experiencing this not because they are your children,” Mama comforted Papa. “You all must be hungry, come on, we eat now.”

“For a while, you cannot leave the house,” Papa told me. “Andreas will check your knee and you must obey whatever he suggests.”

“Until when I can't leave the house, Pa?” aska I want to know.

“Until lutu you recover. Do you want to go for a walk showing off those bruises to everyone?” Papa frowned. “I also need to know who did that so that he can't hurt you anymore.”

“But, Pa, I'll audition the day after tomorrow,” I said to tell. I've had a long time off, when I had to sacrifice all my plans to return to modeling?

“Cancel. Can you walk normally on stage with your knees?” Papa glanced at my knee. I opened my mouth to say something. “If you still argue, I will fire Vikal.”

“Papa! That's not fair!” loud protests.

“Is that how you talk to your papa? By raising the intonation of your voice?” ask Papa in a dislike tone. I can no longer hold back my tears. “Why are you crying? Dira, enough. I only think about what's best for you. You can't leave the house until your knee recovers.”

But I didn't stop crying. Dad finally stopped talking. He groaned softly, then moved to sit by my side. He grabbed my shoulder and I put my head on his chest. What I can't get from Papa, my tears will get. Papa's weakness I won't waste.

Mama just shook her head softly while making a smile, while Kak Hadi and Adi simultaneously crossed their arms in front of their chests while grunting in annoyance. I stick my tongue out at my brother. The spectacle they hoped would not happen.
