*Colin*
“Bangs*t!” A hard blow struck my face without warning. So hard that I staggered a little to the right. My collar was forcibly pulled until I stood face to face with Hadi. “Give me one reason why I shouldn't kill you now.”
“You want to be a businessman in place of your father,” I said in a suffocated voice. “You must have a clean past, no criminal record.”
“I can still be a businessman because it's papaku company.” Hadi gritted his teeth, restraining his anger. “So soon talk to my sister or I swear I'll kill you if she cries again. And I don't care about the fact that you are my best friend.”
Dira crying? She was okay last night. He invited Mila to speak with a familiar, sincere smile and usual so I thought that my plan was a complete failure. When did she cry? Is it in their car or in their home?
Hadi took off my collar and pushed me away from him. As a genetically tall stranger, I couldn't intimidate my best friend. It's as tall as me. One hundred and ninety inches. So, dealing with him like this, we are always on equal footing. But looking at her disposition, even though she was shorter than me, I was sure she would still challenge me like this if I dared to hurt one of her sisters.
“Mila really is my girlfriend. Because of this attitude of yours, it was also Dira's reaction that made me unable to be honest with you guys from the beginning.” I wiped my lips with the back of my hand and saw that there was a bloodstain there. The punch is strong too. “I was forced to use this way.”
“You're serious?” tanya Hadi did not believe. “After you return from America, you still behave the same to Dira. I'm your best friend, Cole. Don't fib. I hate liars. Tell me, what's wrong? Why is there suddenly a girl named Mila among you?”
“I'm serious and not lying.” I approached the bench where my bag was.
“Look at me when you're not lying,” challenge.
My hand that was twisting the drink bottle stopped moving. I deliberately turned around and didn't see him while talking because I knew I couldn't lie to him. But to speak honestly, it's too late. I've been determined to continue my plan.
“Hai, Hadi, Colin!” Our friends came together, saving me from interrogation which would not have ended well if it continued. It didn't end well for me.
They were our college friends who agreed to play three-on-three basketball. Hadi and I were on the same team, so I didn't have to worry about having to deal with his anger during our casual match. That's one thing I admire about him. Whenever we have a problem, no one else knows. Our problem is only for the two of us.
After a match where our team won, we had lunch together treated by the losing team. Seeing our high appetite finished exercising, they simply did not care about the money they had to spend when paying the bills.
“What are your plans tonight?” ask Hadi as we walk towards the parking lot. I touched my stomach which felt very full.
“Meet my game teammate in a regular place. Tonight we will fight to defend our castle.” I stopped in front of his car. “You want to come?”
“I have to pick up Dira. She's about to finish shooting.” Hadi closed his phone screen again, then took out a card from his wallet. “You seriously want to go with that face? Or do you think of it as a trophy so you show off?”
My hand reflexively touched my left cheek. “Nothing that can not be disguised makeup. I can follow you home. We can go on my motorcycle and I'll drive you home later,” I said trying to persuade him. He seems to be thinking.
“Good. Don't be too late, tomorrow morning I have to take the sisters to their school.” Hadi opened his car door, then I walked towards the motorcycle parking lot.
While riding a motorcycle, I tried to keep my concentration on seeing the traffic around me. Avoiding the awkwardness of the two of us later, I followed Hadi and did not try to get ahead of his car. Even from the path he took, I can guess where Dira did the photo shoot.
Dira is the girl who becomes the dream of any man. Not only was she pretty, well-bodied, she was smart and kind. The complete package that only exists in the dream is actually on the girl. Only a fool who would turn down an opportunity could have him.
The more I thought about it, the more convinced I was to end our relationship. I knew it would hurt him, but it was only temporary. He will come back cheerful and will probably get a better young man than me. I'd better start thinking about how to reduce the intensity of my coming into his house.
Arriving at the location, Hadi invites me to find Dira. Usually we just wait until he comes to the parking lot, but I obey his will. We headed for the crowd by passing through a barrier that was deliberately made so that park visitors did not interfere with the shooting.
Feeling the movement not far from where he stood, I turned my head. Oh. Lord. I forced my feet to run as fast as I could. The distance between me and him seemed not to decrease, he looked even further away. But I kept moving my legs as people started screaming distracting her.
The sound of their screams and shouts made my heart beat even more wild and my breath hunted. When I was near them, I pushed the body of the man by his side, then caught Dira's body and protected her with my body. We landed on the grass with my right arm on the pedestal of our weight. The sound of heavy objects falling on the grass sounded so close to us. Then for a moment the situation around us was silent.
My breath was panting, my heart was pounding very fast, and my chest felt like it was about to explode. I felt Dira's body tremble violently, my hands on her back felt her heart beating rapidly, and her hunting breath felt warm on my neck.
“Dira! Colin!” Hadi's voice was followed by a tight grip on my left arm. “You all right? Are you guys hurt?”
I opened my eyes and immediately saw Dira. The girl still held my shirt tightly. He hid his face around my neck so I couldn't see his expression. Is he hurt? I only felt pain in my upper right arm, the rest was just ordinary pain.
People surrounded us, but they kept our distance so we had room to breathe. Only Hadi and Vikal were near us. Hadi helped his sister to sit down, then Vikal helped me. Feeling the pain in my right arm while focusing on my body with my hand is not wrong anymore. I hurt him already.
“Colin, are you okay?” ask Hadi who looks worried. I nodded slowly. “Dira, how are you? Any part of your body that hurts?”
“A-I'm fine,” she replied in a vibrating voice. He looked towards his brother, then Hadi hugged him. Slowly, his breathing began to be regular.
Vikal gave me a glass of water which I immediately sipped to the end. The originally calm atmosphere turned noisy with people giving orders to tidy up the equipment carefully. Dira and I were asked to sit down and the medics were always on hand in their team to check on us.
“What happened, Vikal?” Hadi pulled the collar of Dira's assistant's clothes with an angry face. “What did you do until this happened to my sister? You promised you'd take good care of him, and what did you do? How could you stand so far away from him?”
“Hadi, relax. I-I got him a drink earlier. I promise, this won't happen again. I won't go from Dira's side for a second.” Vikal looked in any direction, not daring to look at Hadi directly.
“This was the last accident. If it happens again, Dira will move to another more responsible agent, pass it on to Mr. Billy. Find out if this was an accident or if anyone wanted to harm my sister. I'll give you a week. If you don't give me the good news, all the accidents that have happened will be reported to my papa.” Hadi took off the man's collar, then helped Dira to stand up. “We're home. Come, Cole.”
“Wait, Hadi. Don't tell Mr. Mahendra about this. Our agent can be closed forcefully,” pinta Vikal plead. He followed us and kept trying to persuade my best friend.
“Vical, enough.” I put my hand on his chest, stopping him from following us. “Hadi will get even more angry if you keep forcing. Check what happened as best you can. If you can prove it was just an accident, maybe Hadi won't complain to Uncle Hendra. But if you try to protect the perpetrator, that very second you will lose your job.”

Meanwhile in a car~
“She's twenty-seven years old!?” pekik Zahara filled the car. “What game did you play until there was a wedding of all??”
“It was only part of the mission, Ma. We got married in the game, not real life.” Adi sighed softly, starting to get frustrated having to explain everything to Zahara.
“Do you guys also do the no-no in the game as husband and wife?? Honey, do you know about this?? Our son hasn't turned fifteen yet and he's married!” zahara Protest.
“Honey, it's just a game. You can ask Kafin. He also played the same game. Please explain to my wife, Kafin.” Hendra turned to his driver.
“Big Master and Young Master are right, Madam. It was just a big mission followed by a small mission to earn rewards. There is no husband and wife activity as the Madam is concerned about. Everything is just ritual. Dating, proposal, marriage, honeymoon, and reportedly there will be a mission to have children as well,” Kafin explained at length.
Zahara rounded his eyes. Hendra's face paled. “What?? Honeymoon?? Have a child??”
