He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 138 - The Peace Deal

*Hadi*

It's been two hours and there's still no word on Clarissa's whereabouts. Om Irwan is already doing the best he can to look for any trace of Luca. What makes it difficult is, the young man deliberately passed through a deserted road where there was no CCTV recording the rental car he was wearing. All we know for sure is that there were people who helped him bring Clarissa.

They were even faster to find where Uncle Will was, as he went to a crowded place. Restaurant of a hotel. It was easy for Om Irwan and his team to get into their system and find in the room where someone had brought Uncle Will with him.

Bizarrely. What does someone want from him? He lived peacefully with his family. Colin also never complained about the condition of his parents or specifically, his father. Who has bad intentions for them?

Dira was worried when I told her what Colin had said over the phone. But she was wise not to contact her boyfriend when he was busy taking care of his family matters. We were all sitting waiting in the living room, so who was calling, we all knew each other.

“Master, your father and mother came to visit,” said Mr. Abdi who entered the room. We immediately stood up to hear the announcement.

“Wah! Not usually you're all at home!” granny Naava exclaimed with a happy face. She approached Papa to kiss him, then we all took turns. “What is this? Is something bad going on? You all look worried.”

“Clarissa kidnapped, Ma,” replied Papa slowly. Grandpa and Grandma rounded their eyes.

“Again??” my grandmother was surprised. “Then what are you doing here? Why not look for him out there? Sitting quietly like this won't make us find it.”

“Where are we going, Ma? The one who kidnapped him wasn't here. We are waiting for news from Irwan and his team.”

“True too. There are many places in this city, where you can start looking for it.” Grandma turned to look at Grandpa with a worried face. “Will he be taken away again?”

“No, dear. Irwan is a great man. He'll find Clarissa. Remember your health condition. Don't worry too much.” Grandpa rubs Grandma's shoulder.

“Iya, Mother. Clarissa we will definitely find,” said Mama who moved to sit from Papa's side to Grandma's side. “If this way does not work, then we will contact the police.”

“Honey, it's not just Mama who needs to be soothed. Me too,” protest Papa who does not accept just sitting alone. We laughed when we heard it.

Bu Yuyun came while carrying trays, we cheered happily at the small meal that we were sure Grandma had brought from her home. Our feelings were a little better when we ate it while having a casual chat. But my mind never got away from Clarissa.

Papa's phone on the table vibrated. We all fell silent. Papa immediately picked up and answered the incoming call. I held my breath hoping that it was good news from Om Irwan. Clarissa had been gone from nightfall, there must have been a lot that happened to her until this morning. I don't want to imagine what Luca did to her.

“They've found where Clarissa is. They would try to help him without making a fuss, then bring him home. I'm going to Edu's house. Any of you guys want to come?” ask Papa who is standing from the sofa. Of course we all answered yes.

Papa and Mama were in a car with Grandpa and Grandma, and me and my sisters were in my car. Not wanting to worry Mama, I didn't drive fast and was right behind Grandpa's car. After all the traffic on Sunday before lunch was pretty heavy, so we couldn't drive the car smoothly.

Om Irwan's car or one of his men is not seen in the yard of Clarissa's house. They haven't arrived so I haven't been able to calm down. Aunt Darla and Qiana's family were already in the living room. Luca's parents looked pale in their seats. How could they still be in this house when their son kidnaps the owner's son? I didn't sit down with the parents and chose to sit down near Wyatt and Charlotte.

“If something happens to my sister, I will kill Luca myself,” isak Charlotte. Wyatt tried to calm him down. “Clarissa will never fall in love with the person who did evil to her.”

“By the way, I remember. You once said that Luca's intention of approaching Clarissa was the same as yours. But you didn't say it. What is it, Wyatt?” ask Dira. I looked at them both in turn. What intentions are they talking about?

Wyatt glanced at Luca's parents. “Their company is on the verge of bankruptcy. Luca as the successor is certainly worried will be canceled lead their next company. So, as Grandma approached him, the chance to improve the condition was in sight. That's why he's trying to get Clarissa any way.”

“Incriminate plan. Because she was really surprised, Clarissa had a boyfriend. His parents also admitted that. This is outside their plan.”

“So why did he kidnap Clarissa and her parents stay here?” ask Dira again.

“Their next plan is to impregnate Clarissa. Luca can do it yourself.” Wyatt shrugged both of his shoulders. I looked at him sharply. “Hey, don't blame me. It's not me who has that crazy plan.” Wyatt raised both his hands in surrender.

Damnit. Why is Irwan so long? Clarissa's been kidnapped for twelve hours. Luca must have hurt her. If she is left nearby any longer, Clarissa could be traumatized. I couldn't have gone to save him when Papa had clearly said that Om Irwan could handle everything with his team.

Hearing the roar of the car in the yard, I immediately stood up. No matter who came, I immediately ran towards the front door. The butler opened the door and I stood on the porch. I don't know the owner of the car that came in, so that means they are Om Irwan's people.

There were three cars so I was confused where Clarissa was. Each door opened, then he got out of the car in the middle. Without waiting any longer, I immediately approached and hugged her. Mercifully. He was fine and came back to me. I think I'm gonna lose him again for a long time.

“Clarissa! Thank goodness!” fun Aunt Claudia. I had to take it off so that her grandmother could take turns hugging her. “I'm sorry, baby. Ii'm sorry. I won't do this again.”

I let them all take turns welcoming Clarissa and looking for the person who had dared to worry us. Seeing him get out of the car in the back, I undo my intentions. His face was battered, so I didn't need to teach him any more lessons.

I waited for another car to come in, but nil. I looked at Papa questioningly. Why didn't they call the police? This man will not be caught doing evil if he is not given the proper punishment. Prison is a place worth living for.

A couple of waiters came out carrying suitcases belonging to Luca and his parents. I was surprised to see all that. Luca's father spoke to him and they were engaged in a momentary debate. I can't hear what they're talking about. With a flushed face, Luca walked up to Clarissa. He knelt down and apologized, as well as to Clarissa's family.

“I'm sorry I believed you, Luca. I think you are a good boy,” said Aunt Claudia with a disappointed face.

The young man dared to raise his face and challenge the woman. “You lied to me. You said Clarissa didn't have a boyfriend. If this were the case, I would never have come here.”

“Yes, I said Clarissa was still alone, but I never promised she would accept you to be her boyfriend. Don't blame others for your own mistakes in understanding others,” said Aunt Claudia objected. “For you who want to come with us on vacation to Indonesia. Me or Mason never took you guys.”

“That's enough, baby. They better leave now.” Uncle Mason embraces Aunt Claudia and invites her to step down. Om Irwan's men held Luca's arms together and put him back in the back car. Luca's parents got into the car in the middle.

“What happened, Pa? Why wasn't he sent to jail?” my protest was after the three cars left and everyone walked back home.

“Edu and Mason have spoken to Hudson's partner. They won't involve the police, so they're just reimbursing for what happened to Clarissa. They also signed an agreement that this incident will be reported if Luca repeats the same crime to another girl.” Papa patted my shoulder. “That's better than spending tens of millions to pay lawyers and follow the trial. It's for Clarissa's sake too.”

Even though I don't accept this solution they chose, what Papa said is true. Clarissa will find it hard to forget this incident as happened with Finley's case, if she has to deal with the police, lawyers, and a grueling trial.

“What does that mean he doesn't hurt Clarissa?” askaku expectantly.

Papa nodded slowly. “Your holiday will be over soon. Clarissa is the same as you are compiling a thesis. You better focus on the study and forget what happened today.” Papa put his arm around my shoulder. “Are you ready to help people who will intern in our office?”

I groaned slowly. “Pa, I'm not a full-time employee. I should have been an apprentice, not even helping them,” my protest.

“You already interned last year, what's the internship for again? You will join the company early next year, so why not start by training interns?” Papa smiled meaningfully. Rouse suspiction. What made Papa insist this way?
