Trays, bowls, noodles, broths, and whatever else littered the floor in front of me. The person I was afraid of was a woman. He lifted his head and looked at me with annoyance. But his eyes turned surprised to see me.
“Manda?” many surprised. Why is he in this place too?
“Is that all you want to say? You've hit me on purpose until my hand is hit by a hot spill. Can't you look around while walking?” said annoyed.
“I'm sorry. But I was careful. I didn't know you were coming my way.” I looked around me confused.
“I'm coming your way? Look at it right. You who do not look around when turning over,” he said insisting.
Not wanting to prolong the trivial matter, I also relented. “I'll replace your food and drinks that fall. You better wash your hands so that the burn does not get worse.”
“So this is what your rich grandfather taught you? Use money, then all problems will be finished?” tanyanya. I looked at him confused. “Clean my hand. If the wound turns out to be severe, take me to the hospital.”
“You accidentally hit him. I saw it earlier.” Hadi came by standing by my side. “Don't mind him. Come on, back to the seat now.”
“Heh! If you want to accuse people, show the evidence. He hit me, not the other way around,” protested Manda. “Just ask the people here, who is wrong.”
“Do you see up there?” Hadi pointed towards the corner of the wall near us, just above the sink. “You'll bet that your statement is true and I'm wrong? Come on, let's prove it through the CCTV footage.”
Manda closed her lips. He left without saying anything. I sigh in relief. Fortunately, I am not alone in this place. Otherwise, everything would have been a mess. Hadi gave me my bag. I looked at him confused.
“We must not leave the goods without the supervision of others,” he explained. I nodded slowly. “You better wash your hands too. Your elbow is flushed. It must have been due to a splash of meatballs.”
As soon as I realized that my elbow was really hurt by the heat, I felt the pain. I immediately headed for the sink and wet the reddened part of my hand. After the pain had lessened, I rejoined Hadi at our table. I was surprised to see that our food was not on the table.
“I ordered the same menu. We leave the food out long enough, it could be that someone puts something into our food or drink,” he explained. I looked at him in disbelief. What did I just hear was true? “I'm just on guard.”
“What bad thing ever happened to you, for leaving your food for a while?” aska I want to know. This careful attitude must have had a reason.
“Not yet. Hopefully it never happens.” He put both his hands on the table. “Who was that girl? You guys seem to know each other.”
“Iya. He's my classmate. He was once close to me, then because of one thing, we are not familiar anymore,” I replied as if.
“You better not be friends with him anymore. I just saw someone acting so weird this time. He who is waiting for you to turn around, then approaches until you collide. If only you had come alone to this place, you would have lost the debate. Because everyone is busy with their own business and no one pays attention to his actions earlier.”
“I'm not friends with him. Have you forgotten that I'm not close to anyone? He who approaches me and regards me as his friend.” I lifted both my shoulders. “But why did he do that? What does he want from me?”
“You women alone can not understand it, let alone me,” said Hadi lightly.
Manda ruined everything I had planned today. I really hope Hadi will continue our date by watching together in the cinema. But my shoes were dirty and the tip of my skirt was wet from Manda's actions. We had to go home after lunch.
We were lucky today. We didn't cross paths with Adi and Lily. The two couples who were always together were also not seen spying on us as they were the day before. We could have gone through this day together.
Luca is no longer home, so Hadi will have no reason to take me out again tomorrow. Really a fucking day. How can we be in the mall, even the same restaurant where Manda is? Plus, I'm still wondering what caused him to do that. Is it just to insult me in front of everyone? The burns aren't so bad, why should I wash her hands? How strange.
Feeling my phone vibrate, I checked it and saw a new message. I opened the inbox and read a message from Grandma. Luca didn't go to Bali and he stayed at our house. We cannot refuse or expel him. Forgive us.
What else is this?? Luca not going to Bali? Why does he live in our house? Oh, dearGod. It's really a disaster and I'm sure he did it on purpose. Grandma must take responsibility for this. I just got out of Finley, I don't want to deal with men who don't understand the word no.
I sighed loudly. “Luca not going to Bali. Grandma told me she was back at our house. Grandma can't bear to refuse it.”
“Do I need to talk to men not know themselves?” tanya Hadi offered her help. It sounds very tempting, but I don't want them to fight, then Hadi accidentally slipped about our relationship.
“No need. He's home, are you going to throw him out? He won't care, because Grandpa and Grandma have already given him permission.” I took a long breath. The rest of the week will be very hard to get through.
“You want to come to my house? Maybe it's time you helped the project write my mama,” Hadi said giving a brilliant proposal.
“Come!” seruku happy.
“You can borrow Dira's shirt. I don't know if Mama's clothes fit on your body. You are higher than him. The waiter will help clean your shoes so that they can be worn comfortably.” He glanced at the end of my shirt and shoes.
Auntie Zahara welcomed us with pleasure. He came out of his special room and took me to his room. I felt a little uncomfortable in the bedroom. Getting into someone else's very private space like this is foreign to me.
Even though I couldn't wear some of the clothes she had, there were some casual t-shirts and pants that fit on my body. He also lent me sandals that turned out to fit my feet. Because I'm not comfortable stroking my hair all the time, Auntie lent me her hairband.
“I'm glad you decided to come today. I happen to be thinking to myself what the nature of my female lead character looks like. I also need to know some details about the unique work you once did that.” Aunty took my hand down the stairs.
I don't see Hadi anywhere. Maybe he was in his room. Too bad we couldn't be together much longer. I thought he was going to have a chat with us. But it seems that he is used to not bothering his mother while he is working.
The room that is often touted as a special room turned out to be very comfortable. I saw a closet full of books, a sideboard with a crystal vase filled with fresh flowers and some photo frames on it, a set of sofas with tables, and a large window covered in lacy curtains.
I can judge Aunt Zahara as a smart and insightful woman. She asked me a lot of very detailed questions about my job as a fake boyfriend. I used to think of the job as a normal thing. But the more I talked about it, the more embarrassed I felt about dating a lot of guys.
“I'm sorry. Am I too deep to find information?” ask Aunt Zahara worried.
I immediately shook my head. “It's okay, Auntie. I just feel a little uncomfortable. Maybe because now I already have people I care about.”
Aunt Zahara smiled meaningfully. “I understand. When we like someone, discussing the past with another man does make us feel something is awkward.”
Sayup-sayup heard the sound of a conversation that made Aunt Zahara look towards the door. “It must be Dira. I want to know how the health check was. Please continue typing all the details I asked earlier. I'll be right back.”
When Aunt Zahara came out of the room, I realized it was night. I immediately typed in the details that Aunt asked me to get back home. But after I finished typing, Aunt Zahara came in and invited me to dinner with them.
Things I didn't refuse. The night I go home, the less likely I will be to meet Luca at home. I can only hope that he is already in his room and does not show his face in front of me when I go home.
Seeing Colin also come to eat with us, I did not feel foreign to myself in the midst of the Hadi family. The atmosphere of the dining room was rather tense with Om Hendra's sinister expression. But Auntie is trying to melt the atmosphere with her funny story.
The more Hadi drove his car closer to our house, the more uncomfortable I felt. I hate it all being like this. I don't know why I don't feel at ease being near Luca. Is it because I thought about Hadi's feelings? I don't know. I've never been like this before.
Entering the grounds of the house, I saw Wyatt and Charlotte also just arrived. Our butler greeted them and Luca also came out of the house. I sighed softly. When Hadi's car pulled up behind Charlotte's car, the young man turned his head towards me.
“Wait, let me open the door,” Hadi said in a serious tone. He definitely did not like to see the man looking at me.
Hadi helped me out of the car. I don't know what prompted me to do that. But when she said good night after driving me to the terrace, I stared at her for a moment. Then I stood on my tiptoes and kissed her lips.
