He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 11 - He Again

People talk about entrepreneurs is not excessive. He is not only good at work, but can also give an interesting presentation. Although he does not fall into the handsome standard for most people, his friendly smile makes him look pleasing to the eye.

I don't know what Hadi's relationship with Mr. Mahendra is, but I guess from their slightly similar nature, they are father and son. What business does the man have to be present in this room as well? He's obviously not in college by being here.

When the class ended, they left the room first. I sigh in relief. If he asks me to talk again, I won't be able to run this time. Manda took me to the next lecture hall, so I stood up and followed her. I looked around us, worried that he might suddenly appear and interrogate me.

“What's up? You looking for something?” ask Manda who is looking to her right and left.

“No. Come, hurry. Later we can not sit in the front row.” I pulled Manda's hand to speed her up.

The classes I attended were not many. By noon, I could be home. I parted ways with Manda in her last course because she wanted to meet her boyfriend. Usually I spend time in the library of the major, but not today. I want to go back to my rent room and do the tasks that have to be collected the next day.

I stopped by the cafeteria to buy food and lined up with the other students. After paying for the food, I rushed towards the exit gate. As if life didn't like to see me calm down one day, the young man I was avoiding instead stood leisurely by the side of a car not far from the gate.

“Why am I starting to think that you are intentionally anywhere I am?” manya suspect. After repeatedly meeting unintentionally, I assumed that ignoring her was useless.

“You talk to me?” He pretended to be surprised, then looked around us. “Ah, it looks like you are indeed talking to me. I thought you'd pretend you didn't know me and just walk in front of me.”

“What's up? I don't have much time to talk to strangers,” I'm quick, don't have time to mince words.

“Enter. We'll talk somewhere else.” Hadi opened the front door of the car and used a signal with his hand to let me in.

“I won't want to accept solicitation from a stranger.” What do you want this guy for real? Why doesn't he just talk to his friend instead of bothering me?

“Colin is also a stranger but you want to come with him, even allowing him to hold you affectionately.” He was still standing holding the door open. “I won't mess with you. You've seen who my father is. I will not do anything to ruin his reputation. Login.”

I gave up and got into the car. After sitting next to me, he started his car engine and got out of my faculty yard. He remained silent on the way, so I kept quiet. When he stopped by a fast food restaurant, he asked me if I needed anything. I asked for a bottle of water because I only bought food.

We stopped at a park and he took me out. Walking for a few minutes, we found an empty bench. We sat down and ate each of our meals. I didn't expect that being in different places and situations could affect appetite.

Sitting in the shade of a big tree, feeling the wind blowing made me eat voraciously. When I felt that the food was not enough filling, Hadi offered me a burger he bought. He put the burger in my hand when I just looked at him doubtfully.

“What's your name?” He gave me his empty paper cups to combine with our other food waste.

“Mila.” I put the bag of trash between my feet and hers.

“It's really your real name?” tanyanya while looking at me intently.

“Iya. Mila Foster's. You can see my class present list if you don't believe.” I opened my drink bottle and gulped down the contents.

“So, you really use your real name.” He nodded slowly. “Who are your parents? Looking at the food you buy, you definitely do not stay with them.”

“I have no parents. My adoptive parents decided to expel me from their lives, so I have no one now.” I lifted both my shoulders in a relaxed manner. He frowned. “Listen, I'm not lying. I don't know why you want to know about all that, but I'm not a bad guy.”

“Longers are not all bad people. But bad guys usually like to lie.” His originally relaxed expression turned cold. “Cole was my best friend since childhood and she proposed to my sister to be his wife since we were kids. They are both people I love very much. Please help me. What does Cole want from you?”

This one client is really going to ruin my job. He had a friend who did not give up. Naturally, the one we were hurting with our charade was his sister. The girl was not an ordinary girlfriend or a woman who was chasing her love. Colin had promised to marry her since they were kids.

Knowing this fact, I was even more confused. What made Colin have to play? He could have the girl talk to him both. She seems to be a pretty mature girl in thinking. When another tantrum girl sees her fiance, boyfriend, or the person she's dating coming with another woman, then she's not. He even invited me to meet in a friendly manner.

“You said, you don't have parents. What about your other family? Where are they?” tanyanya changed the topic of conversation.

“What is the relationship between my personal life and my relationship with Colin?” many confused. What does he really want to know?

“Nothing. Regarding you and Cole it seems like a secret that you won't reveal, so I don't want to waste time. We better discuss something else,” he replied.

“I don't know where my family is. Even the men and women I originally thought were my parents, were not my biological parents.” They are both native Indonesians. With the physical traits I have, they are definitely not my biological parents. Unfortunately, they are dead. I can't ask why I'm in that house with them.

“What do you mean?” his question could not hide his curiosity.

“Shortly. Why do you want to know about my family and parents?” I began to suspect.

“I asked and you answered, so I kept going. Why do you mind now?” Also true. I'm the one who got him interested in continuing to dig about me.

“I replied so you would stop bothering me. I'd better go home now. I have a task from the lecturer that must be collected tomorrow.”

“Do you do this because you need money? Cole paid you to pretend to be his girlfriend. Is that what happened?” tanyanya full of search. I'm silent. “You don't have parents and family to take care of you. College costs a lot. So, you earn money by renting yourself out?”

Meanwhile in front of a school~

“Sorry, forgive me,” Colin said with a face full of regret.

Lily crossed her hands in front of her chest. “I waited two hours. Two hours! Where have you been?” ask Lily in annoyance.

Colin wrapped his hands around his sister's shoulders and brought her closer to his motorcycle. “I'm preoccupied with studying in the library. You know ‘kan starting next semester I will start compiling the thesis. So, I was looking for a topic I could pick up.”

“Long. You must be thinking of Dira again.” Lily snorted softly as her brother put a helmet on his head. “You should talk to both of you soon. Decide he's fine and don't use low-key methods like last Friday night. Embarrassing.”

“Sometimes I can't believe you're still fourteen years old.” Colin rides his motorcycle and helps his sister by giving her hand.

“Have a childish sister like you forced me to mature prematurely.” Lily rolled her eyeballs, but Colin could not see them.

“Do you want to stop by somewhere or do we go straight home?” Colin started the engine.

“Close to mall. I'm gonna buy a present for Dira. If you need my opinion, I can tell you what she wants as her birthday gift.” Lily hugged her sister from behind.

“I know him better than you. And I know what gift she wants from me.” Colin enters traffic and keeps a safe distance with the motorcycle in front of him.

“A engagement ring that until this second you did not also give her,” taunted Lily.

“Shut up or I'll drop you off here.”

“If you dare, I'll stir it to Mama.”

“Aaarrgghh!” Colin shouted in frustration.
