He's The Unaffordable

He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 3 - Money

The best way to escape is to go to the bathroom. They couldn't possibly ban me even though they seemed to want to interrogate me after Colin left. Not an hour into action yet, the young man's plan was already in disarray. Hopefully he knows what to do to improve our drama.

When I came out of the ladies' room, I saw her waiting not far from the entrance. He immediately put on an apologetic face. This is not what we talked about in the car. I had clearly told him that he absolutely must not leave me alone.

“I'm sorry,” he said.

“People talk to you or they will know that I am not really from America.” I immediately reprimanded him because he spoke in Indonesian. “And no. I will not forgive you. This is the worst job I've ever done.”

“I'm sorry. I can't be far from my phone. My mom used to call to make sure that I was taking good care of my sister,” she said begging.

“Mother? You left me alone with them out of fear of your mother?” I just don't believe it. That's the best reason he can say?

“You will understand once you meet my mother. Don't misunderstand me. She's a good mother and I love her a lot, it's just, she's overprotective.”

“What does that mean your sister was also in the room?” I crossed my hands in front of my chest. He grimaced showing his row of neat teeth.

“Iya. The girl sitting next to Hadi.”

“Hadi? Who's Hadi?”

“The young man who called me Cole. He's the only one who uses that call.”

Without wasting any more time, we returned to the room. The sooner we get back, the sooner I finish this job. He apologized to everyone who sat at the table with us. Then she introduced me to her name, Mila Mitchell. A family name that sounds good.

He didn't tell me what big trouble I was in until I realized it myself. It turns out that his friend named Hadi is the older brother of Dira, the girl they call Colin's fiancee. Then Colin's younger sister named Azalea whom they call Lily loved Dira so much that she did not stop looking at me sharply. I was worried that his eyes would cross if he kept doing that.

Everything went as smoothly as he planned. They found out that we first met on summer vacation last year. Lily looked at her brother and I suspiciously because during the vacation she didn't see me at all. Then Colin seamlessly answered whenever exactly we promised to meet so Lily did not have time to meet me. Miraculously, the girl believed her brother's words.

The birthday was over when we finished eating. Colin did not wait until the entertainment was over because his sister had complained about going home. I don't want anyone to know where I'm staying, so Colin persuades his sister to be escorted by Hadi. And that girl's hatred for me just got worse.

“Tactualty? You should have told me about that. You gave an indication that the girl you want to avoid is this annoying spoiled girl who can't accept rejection,” my protest when we were alone in her car.

“I'm sorry, okay? I didn't have time to tell you all the details because I also had doubts about all this.” He looked at me for a moment, then looked back at the road before him.

“What do you mean by doubt? We can stop this now and you just pay me for one meeting,”.

“No. That's not what I mean.”

“You doubt because you don't want to hurt him,” guess me he answered with a nod. “I did not know that there are still naive men.”

“I promise, on the next occasion, I will play a better role. We meet again on Valentine's Day. Make sure you wear black, because that's my favorite color. For the next, do I have to talk through Sigit or can I directly contact you?”

“Contact me. Sigit only takes care of orders.”

“Good. The money will be transferred soon and I am very grateful for your cooperation today.” She smiles. I looked at him for a moment, but he didn't talk anymore.

“For money,” answer quickly.

“You're not as naive as I thought.” I'm laughing a little.

“I won't ask about personal matters. What happened to your parents earlier, it was because I was surprised by your answer,” he explained. I nodded in understanding.

He kept his promise. When I finished taking a shower and wearing a nightgown, my phone vibrated a sign of a new message in my inbox. SMS Banking stating that there is a large amount of money coming into my account.

If I keep doing this until I graduate, I'll have enough money to find my family. I'm going to need a passport, a VISA, and a lot of money to go to America and find out who my parents are.

Even though people say that I was dumped by my own parents, I want to think positively. They could have lost me while we were on vacation together in this country. Moreover, I roamed in a famous tourist location in North Sumatra when I was a child.

My fake parents' words to avoid me every time I meet a blond and blue-eyed person are my only clue. They are bad people. That must have been my parents' physical traits. They purposely said that so that I could not meet my real parents.

Given how they treated me as long as they were alive, I'm sure they were kidnappers. I can't hang out with anyone, not school, just staying at home is not normal. I was too small at the time to understand my situation.

But I'm an adult, it's time to search for their whereabouts. If they were good people, they would also be looking for me at this moment. If it turns out they are bad people like my adoptive parents, then I can live a quiet life and not have to think about them anymore.

Thinking about family reminds me of my foster family. I recorded every conversation we had on the last day we met. I returned the money they claimed to be the total they spent during my stay with them. The amount is no joke and I pay everything in full. In less than two years.

If only I had a hidden camera, I'd love to record my foster brother's expression when some SMS Banking enters Dad's phone. The amount of money I transferred was huge, so I couldn't use just one account. Each bank has a maximum daily transfer limit.

I didn't care when the bad girl accused me of selling myself so much that I earned so much money in such a short period of time. He can call me anything he wants. It doesn't hurt me anymore. The most important thing is that I am free from my debt to them.

The sound of the vibration of my phone on the nightstand blew my daydream. I checked it immediately. Message from Sigit. New clients. Ability to meet all conditions. Accept it? I asked for a date and reminded myself that Colin had mentioned the fourteenth.

The reply came and the date was different, so I accepted it. Accept. I'm one step closer to meeting my real parents. I really hope they are good people and will accept me back.

Meanwhile in a car~

“What Brother knows about this?” tanya Dira with a dead red face.

“How many times do I have to answer no?” replied Hadi while sighing softly. He looked towards Lily who was sitting in the back seat. The girl just shrugged both of her shoulders.

“You good friends since childhood, I can't believe Big Brother didn't know about the woman,” spray Dira who is still upset.

“You are also a good friend of him since childhood and do not know about the girl,” Hadi replied. Dira looked at her brother with teary eyes. I was so excited to see those tears. “Dira ..”

“I'll avenge that fool. He's already humiliated me so much tonight.”
