He's The Unaffordable

He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 109 - Determining Test

My rival model was standing with her hands on both sides of her waist. His eyes were fixed on Clarissa who was completely unwilling to turn her head towards him. Charlotte only saw him for a moment, then came back busy with his food.

“We came here for dinner, Reese. Don't bother them.” A woman I'm sure is her mother, held her hand and invited her to leave.

“Sorry, we didn't mean to bother you guys,” said the man standing next to him.

“Why is Papa apologizing? I just say hello to my foster brother. What after she paid for everything we gave her, then our relationship was cut off?” reese Ejek. “How does it feel to be rich, Clarissa? How many jewels have you stolen from your family?”

“Enough!” exclaimed mother. He stomps Reese's hand and half pulls her to the inside of the restaurant. The man who came with them said goodbye to us and caught up with them.

We exchanged glances, then continued to eat. The people around us who had originally looked at our table also returned to sitting neatly. I looked towards Clarissa whose face was paled. The poor girl. I can't imagine the years she lived being Reese's foster sister. It must have been terrible with its evil nature.

“I'd love to tear that woman's mouth apart.” Charlotte put her spoon on the plate and let out a loud sigh. We all looked towards him. “He kept announcing that Clarissa was a thief. He is not even shameless about mentioning the money Clarissa gave them in exchange for the fees they incurred during her time as a foster child.”

“He did that because he wanted a reaction like this, Sweety. He only lures Clarissa into getting angry so that what she's accused of is proven to be true. Just ignore. Later also he will be tired of himself and bored bothering Clarissa.” Wyatt wipes Charlotte's hair covering her cheeks behind her ears. I had to look the other way so as not to be jealous of her.

“I agree. Although the effort has not yet yielded results.” Clarissa laughed amusedly. “She is an unyielding girl.” He shook his head.

“I'm not sure he'll give up. His feud with Dira alone had been going on for many years and he was still annoyed whenever he met Dira.” Charlotte rolled her eyeballs. “He must have a very serious mental problem.”

“It's not a mental issue. I'm sure Reese was just jealous of Clarissa, just as she was jealous of Sister Dira. Clarissa was not a child whose identity was not as clear as she had thought all along. An evil-hearted foster brother like him must have been annoyed when he found out Clarissa came from a distinguished family.” Adi smiled meaningfully.

After a few weeks of studying alone with Brother, I did not believe myself facing the entrance exam of PTN that I was looking for. Moreover, I'm not the only person who wants to study at the campus where Brother is studying. And what Kak Hadi said was true. I haven't been able to get the maximum passing grade to enter his major.

Our family again felt great happiness when Adi also got good news on the day of the announcement of the final exam results. He graduated and I'm sure his grades must be as good as Kak Hadi's. It was only the three of us who were not very intelligent.

“So, you are ready to take the exam?” ask Kak Hadi when we have breakfast together in the morning I will follow the entrance selection.

“Can't Papa use Papa's influence to buy one seat for me?” I asked Papa with a clear face.

Papa laughed a little. “Little test like this you have given up before trying, how about later when you will apply for a job?”

“Little test? It's a big test, Pa! If I fail this year, then I have to wait for a year to try again,” my protest.

“Then, don't fail,” Papa said casually. He looked at Mama and they smiled meaningfully. “Darling, you are my smart daughter and I have never doubted your academic ability. Calm your mind and give your best when answering questions, then everything will be fine. Just like when you took the final exam.”

The words you say don't help me at all. I'm getting nervous. While on my way to the exam site, my heart was beating fast, it was hard for me to calm down. Even when I arrived at my destination, I was less and less confident seeing that there were so many examinees.

I couldn't cover up my identity while in the exam room, so I resigned when a participant asked for my autograph and asked for a photo together. It turns out that there are still people who are not nervous about following this entrance selection. Fortunately, it made me feel calmer and get a new spirit. Just a few more minutes, then I can go back to work. I get to meet the fans and do a lot of things with them.

The atmosphere of the room was very quiet at the moment the examination supervisor came and read the instructions to us. I could even hear the breaths of each participant while the exam was going on. I don't want to fail and wait until next year to try again. So, I read the questions as thoroughly as possible and chose the most appropriate answer.

I encouraged myself not to be tempted by some of the finished participants and collected their question and answer sheets to the supervisor. Assessment is not based on how quickly we answer questions, but how many answers are correct.

Pak Sakti was already waiting for me in front of the gate, so I sped up my pace. I was relieved when I was in the car. Okay. The hardest part has passed. I just need to wait for the graduation announcement. Hopefully I will be accepted into Kak Hadi's department.

Mama accompanied me to lunch and asked about the condition of the exam. I told him everything. Starting from how nervous I was when I entered the room, a welcome from people who asked for photos and signatures, until I finally went home with Pak Sakti.

“Wah! Already many fans who can not wait for your reappearance.” Mama blinked one eye.

“I was scared, Ma. What if they mention the video? Turns out they don't remember it at all.”

“Or they don't care about it, because they know that you're innocent,” Mama said not to lose. “I'm so proud of you, baby. You face this problem bravely. When you testify, remember your words. We all support you from behind. Manipulative defense questions, face it calmly.”

“Iya, Ma.” I smiled in response to that sentence, but in my heart, I was so daunted. I could have been brave at home or the police station, because there were only a few people who heard me talk. At the time of the trial, there will be more people attending.

Time went on for so long as I waited for the announcement of the results of the PTN entrance exam. Brother is busy with his semester exams, while Adi and I no longer need to go to school after taking diplomas and reports.

The test scores I got turned out to be far from my guess. I can't beat the grades on Kak Hadi's diploma and report card, but I got better grades than when I took the final SLTP exam.

Since Charlotte was back with Wyatt, I lost a friend that I could meet with in my spare time. Wendy took advantage of her day off by working full-time, so I couldn't bother her. Moreover, he will finance his own tuition money.

Vikal, who was impatient to accompany me again in my work, did not stop sending messages. There are some pretty prestigious products that are looking for models for their ads. Some more are fashion designers who will hold a fashion show in the near future and are looking for catwalk models.

If I am still jarring with the announcement of the entrance selection, different from Adi. He was already leisurely waiting for the day to enter school. The accumulative value in his diploma is high, so he has been confirmed to enter the same SMU as me and Kak Hadi.

“Nona, there is a guest for you,” Mr. Abdi said as I just came out of my room.

I'm tired of being home and intending to visit Wendy's workplace. “Who, Sir?” manya curious. I changed clothes and dressed up in the clothes room, so I didn't hear any vehicles coming into our yard.

“Please see for yourself,” the answer is meaningful. That smile has only one meaning. Colin's. Why does everyone in this house think that I won't be able to read their minds?

I headed to the living room where Colin was already waiting for my arrival. Why did he meet me today? Didn't he and Hadi usually gather together? Saturday morning to noon is their time to play basketball and have lunch together.

Colin stood up when he saw me coming. He was alone and my brother wasn't with him. I closed the door and walked closer. “What do you want to see me? Where's Brother Hadi?” I look around us.

“I can't believe you mentioned anything less in our relationship just because of a trivial issue.” He looked at me with a disappointed face.

I frowned hearing that sentence. Oh. He already knows the answer. Did my sister tell him? “A trivial issue? There is nothing trivial in our relationship.”

“For me, this is a trivial matter. You complain to your brother, your parents, but you don't talk to me about it. Why, Dira? Why should I hear from others that there is something lacking in our relationship?” exacting.

If he already knew where the problem was, why would he still ask? Did he deliberately fish for me to tell him the answer? “Shortly. You have already called something this big a trivial matter. Do you know what our relationship lacks?”
