He's The Unaffordable

He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 90 - Visit

I don't know how many hours or days have passed. Ever since our emotional conversation, I locked myself in a room. I did not dare to go out just to the other room in the house. It's just my family that I let into my room.

Meeting the workers in our home was very difficult for me. Grandpa, Grandma, Om Zach, Aunt Official, Zeph, and Zu even if I don't allow them to come in. I understand, as a family, they want to support me. But I don't need pity from anyone.

Luckily after the farewell, we third graders don't have to come to school every day. We can come at any time to find out the exam results. But for the next three days, we all SMU students are off because there is a final SLTP student exam. I wouldn't have come to school if the teacher had asked us to come anyway.

To avoid people's responses and their comments about the broadcast, I deliberately did not check any of my social media accounts. I even disconnected my phone to the internet network at home. Even though I was curious, I knew I would not be strong read what people comment on social media.

My bedroom door was knocked before it opened from the outside. I don't have to look around because I know Mama came to bring me lunch. His familiar footsteps approached the balcony where I was.

“Because you did not mention specifically what you wanted to eat this lunch, then Mr. Fahri cooked all your favorite foods. Hamburger, pizza, also lasagna.” Mama put down three plates containing each of the food she mentioned. “There's more you need?”

“No, Ma. This is enough.” I stretched out both my hands. Mama smiled, sat by my side, then let me hug her tightly. “Sorry, I've been troubling Mama these few days. It should have been Bu Yuyun who delivered food for me.”

“You are my daughter, of course I'm glad you bother like this. You are grown and independent. Sometimes I miss you guys being spoiled to me.” Mama kissed my cheek. “Eat. I have to get back to work. Colin helped me a lot to finish my new project, so I had to write down everything I remembered before the idea went out of my head.”

“Colin is here?” askaku. My heart was pounding a little harder, but I immediately ignored it. I didn't hear his voice. Ah, I've been in my room all day, where I could probably hear anyone coming into our house.

“No. There were still a few minutes before he came from his campus. I gotta hurry. I have a lot of questions I should ask him later.” Mama kissed me on the cheek again, then stood up. “You sure you don't need anything else anymore?”

“No, Ma. This is enough.” I shook my head slowly.

Mom left with a smiling face. But I'm sure once he's behind my door, he'll be sad again. My family did the best they could to help me forget about the embarrassing incident.

If Mama delivers breakfast and lunch for me, then Brother will bring dinner. We would chat for a moment or just sit quietly while staring at the night sky. Papa will come a while before I go to sleep, while Adi annoys me whenever a prank idea is popping up in his head.

This week is his turn to take the final exam at school. I really hope he will graduate with good results. He has learned as hard as he can to the point of ignoring his favorite game character for the past month. If he still intends to enter my school, then he needs a high grade to pass the entry requirements.

My bedroom door was opened from the outside, but there was no knock before. My family or the workers in our house will not do that. Then there is only one person who dares to act so presumptuously. The only person who would want to enter my house even though Mama had forbidden it.

“What I said, he's fine.” Charlotte was standing in the balcony doorway. I rolled my eyeballs hearing it. He sat by my side, then put a bag of food boxes on the table. “Granny-made meat and vegetable pastels. Everything's foryou. So, please, don't share this with Hadi and Adi, nor with your parents. That's Granny's message.”

“Thank you.” I shook my head to see him pull out the food box from the bag.

“Are you okay, Dira?” asked Wyatt who sat on my right side and gave me a bouquet of chamomile flowers. The smell of the flower immediately filled my smell. “The word of the florist, also from the small research I did on the internet, this floral scent can heal broken hearts.”

“It took great effort to break my heart, Wyatt. Thank you for this bouquet of flowers. Hopefully no one gets jealous because I got the attention from you.” I deliberately glanced at Charlotte who was busy pouring special pastel chili made by Aunt Lindsey. He was not ashamed to make a snoring sound like a pig. Wyatt's laughter exploded hearing him.

“He can still joke, so he's fine already.” Wendy walked over to me so she could hold me for a moment. He gave a large glass with the label of the coffee shop where he worked. “Teh chamomile. Since Wyatt said this is good for heartbreak, then the tea is good for you too.”

“What is the purpose of all of you coming here? To tell me what a broken heart drug is?” I just don't believe it. “No, Wyatt. All this food for me.” I put away the plate with the burger and potatoes when he tried to steal a piece of fries.

“Yes, geez. Are you not full yet? We already ate at home before coming here.” Charlotte stared intently at Wyatt. “If you are still hungry, ask for food below. Bu Yuyun will give you the same menu that Dira ate.”

“My feet can get tired if you go up and down the stairs. Did you forget I was driving?” Wyatt massaged his legs while putting on a face.

Wyatt cheered happily. “You are indeed the best sister-in-law, Clarissa!” He immediately picked up a plate of burgers and fries that Charlotte's older sister had placed on the table.

“Tragging you. Clarissa is not your sister-in-law!” charlotte protest. She thanked him as Clarissa gave him a plate of lasagna.

“I can't stay here long.” Clarissa approached, then hugged me before sitting on an empty chair beside her sister. “Hadi is coming home and I don't want him to see me being here.”

“It just so happens you said that. Why are you here? Isn't today a lecture schedule?” many confused. And he's right. Brother Hadi will be home soon. She hasn't stayed longer at her college since her relationship and Clarissa broke up.

“My sister—” Clarissa couldn't finish her sentence because Charlotte covered her mouth with her hands. I looked at them both in wonder.

“Quick finish your meal, Dira. This pastel is waiting for you to enjoy.” Charlotte brought my plate closer to me, and then she ate her part of the lasagna.

Wendy and Wyatt laughed amusedly making me even more confused. But I decided not to urge Clarissa to answer my question. If this has anything to do with Charlotte, maybe she didn't go to college for her sister.

“By the way what happened to Jordan? My family is hysterical every time I ask about it. So, I think I better ask you guys.” I could see there was worry on my friends' faces hearing my question.

“He was detained at the police station with Vivaldo and Nora. Uncle Hendra's lawyer made sure that the police did not release them until the trial process was completed.” Wyatt answered.

“Trial?” I felt my blood suddenly stop flowing into my brain.

“Dira? You okay?” ask Wendy who is approaching me immediately. Charlotte took the plate from my hand before I dropped it.

“No. They will definitely call me as a witness, ‘kan? No. gabe. It is better that they be punished. I don't want to go through the trial!”

Meanwhile on the ground floor~

Hadi let out a loud sigh seeing the number of people sitting or standing in the front room and family room. Homeworkers are pacing back and forth to make sure the food and drink on the table remains available.

It had been three days since bad things happened to Dira, their house was never deserted. Co-workers of fellow models, employees and agency leaders where his sister took shelter, as well as his assistants did not stop visiting. They did not give up even though Hadi's family had not allowed them to meet Dira.

“You should be proud because your sister is surrounded by good people who do not turn away from her in hard times.” Colin walked over to him. “They are people who consider Dira as family. Otherwise, they might not bother coming every day here.”

“Or it could be that they just want to see how ruined my sister is after the unfortunate event.” Hadi crossed his hands in front of his chest.

“Clarissa is on top. Who knows you miss him and want to meet him.” Colin looked towards the stairs, pointing at where the girl was. It was as if Hadi did not know his own home.

As Colin entered Zahara's special room, Hadi turned towards the stairs towards the upper floor. His feet were intending to step towards the room where the girl he wanted to meet was. But remembering the evil words Clarissa spoke, Hadi undoes his intentions.

He turned his head back towards the stairs hearing the hurried footsteps coming down from him. And that's where the girl is. Hadi was worried when he saw his facial expression. “Clarissa, what's up?” Hadi immediately climbed the stairs to meet the girl in the middle.

“Dira .. she's hysterical. We-we can't calm him down. Please, do something.”
