He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 78 - Unfinished Business

After one more month of not dealing with him, my life is much more peaceful. I can't wait to get back to work. Because I forgot there was a rival who would do anything to keep me from getting a more expensive advertising contract from him.

Seeing her again in this place made me wonder. Did he hire a paid stalker who was in charge of following me wherever I went? Because he was often in the same place where I was.

“Why did you let this stupid beggar be in this boutique? Expel him! Letting someone as low as him hold your clothing collection only degrades the quality of the clothes that are here. Quick, drive him!” reese orders two salespeople standing nearby and Wendy.

“Sorry, Ma'am. Everyone was very welcome at this shop. We do not choose our customers. Please see which clothes you want to buy. We have a lot of collections that look like this dress. Come, I'll drop you into.” One of the maidservants pointed towards the row of red-colored dresses not far from where they were standing.

“I don't want another dress. I want this one. You must wash these clothes, then send them to my home address.” Reese took out her credit card and gave it to the waiter.

“But this lady who has already chosen this dress—” said the saleswoman pointed towards my best friend.

“It's okay. I can look around the other dresses,” Wendy said politely to the maid.

“Hey, wait a minute. Where are you going? Our business is not finished.” Reese pulls out Wendy's hand intending to go look for another dress. I saw this was an opportunity for me to intervene to save my best friend from the troublemaker.

“Reese! Reese, what are you doing?” Cilla, Reese's personal assistant, enters the boutique and immediately runs up to her client. Both of her hands were full of shopping bags that I believe contained items purchased by Reese.

“What do I do? Can't you see I'm solving a long overdue problem? This is the woman who broke my expensive bag and dress. Quick, get your credit card out! You must pay my losses of two hundred million!” Reese tries to grab Wendy's backpack.

“I think after a few weeks of not hearing from you, you're evaluating yourself to be a better person. It turns out you're still the same.” I stood between him and my best friend and Cilla pulled him away from Wendy.

“Aah ... This woman could be in this place. It was you who brought him here. Did you not know that not all body types can wear clothes designed in this boutique? With such a fat and short body, which clothes fit on his body?” reese Ejek.

“And you call a thin body malnourished like your body faster, so?” charlotte said before I could reply to Reese. “You've bought the dress you want. So, go. If there are other items you need, keep your distance from us. There are a lot of cameras in this place. Do you want a video that shows your arrogant attitude viral again?”

“You ..!” pekik Reese with a dead red face.

“Reese, we're leaving now. I've received proof of payment for your dress. Come.” Cilla pulled the hand of Reese who was forced to obey his assistant. But the girl was unmoved, unwilling to comply with Cilla's request. “Reese, remember what Mr. Sam ordered. I don't want to help you if you're looking for it yourself.”

Reese finally gives up and lets Cilla take her away from you. “Our business is not finished. You remember that!” threaten her with Wendy.

We stood together to see the girl turn her body around and walk out of the boutique with Cilla. Some of the servants looked in the same direction with curious faces. They whispered to each other with a friend beside him while returning to their respective guard places.

“Appearance in ads can indeed be deceiving, yes?” Wyatt laughed a little. The three of us turned towards him. He pointed towards the large banner that was on one of the boutique pillars. There is a photo of Reese with her face smiling sweetly wearing one of the products sold in this boutique. “If I hadn't seen him myself, I wouldn't have believed he could have behaved that badly.”

“What you see is not how much,” I said shaking slowly. “There were many moments where he behaved much worse than before. One of them was when I attended my friend's birthday at the hotel. The beginning of his feud with Wendy.”

“Where hotel?” ask Wyatt interested.

“Why are you suddenly interested in the girl?” charlotte asked in an annoyed tone.

“What's up, honey? Don't tell me you're jealous if I try to get to know him closer.” Wyatt smiled meaningfully.

I could only shake my head at the behavior of the two of them. “You okay?” I asked Wendy when we were alone.

He nodded quickly. “What he has done I have often experienced at work, there is even worse than his attitude to me.” Wendy shrugged both of her shoulders casually.

“I don't think about what's in his head. It's been going on for a long time and he still holds a grudge? Everyone present could clearly see who was at fault. She herself.” I threw my hand in the air, frustrated with his attitude earlier.

“Just ignore people like that.” Wendy put her hand on my arm. “My time is not much. I have to go home soon to help my parents prepare dinner. Come on, we immediately find a suitable shirt and leave this place.”

“Iya. Before he changes his mind then comes again and annoys us.” I shuddered slowly to dramatize my fear. Wendy laughed amusedly.

It took us longer than I had calculated to find a suitable outfit. Charlotte changed her mind and invited us to not only buy clothes but also shoes, bags, and accessories that match the color of the dress we chose.

Wyatt also did the same with the clothes he chose. Me and Wendy just laughed to see the colors she chose match Charlotte's. My best friend had to explain to her ex that the school breakup was not the same as the dance in America.

“I know, honey. The friends in our class explained it to me. But there is no harm if I dress in harmony with you, ‘kan?” Wyatt casually took out his card and gave it to the cashier.

“Talking to you is the same as talking to inanimate objects.” Charlotte carried her shopping bag and walked away from the cashier.

The drive home was very peaceful because Charlotte and Wyatt were coming home in their car, while Wendy and I were in my car. We were too tired to talk, so we just kept quiet until Wendy was escorted to her house and I arrived at my house.

A motorcycle that I know very well is parked in the front yard of the house. What is the owner doing in my house? Didn't we agree that he won't come back to this house for a while?

I asked Mr. Abdi and he justified my guess. Colin came to visit and he was in the living room with Mama and my two brothers. I decided to let them do nothing in the room and walk towards my room.

But hearing Mama's laughter, I stopped my steps. I stared at the door of the living room with curiosity. Mama knew that I was so hurt by Colin's actions. Then what made him let Colin into the house, even laugh with him? After struggling with myself, I changed my mind and walked closer to the room.

Meanwhile somewhere~

Sigit let in when the door of his study was knocked. She was getting ready to go home because her work hours were over. Coincidentally on this day she had no dinner appointment with anyone and could go home to meet her family.

“There are important letters that you need to read.” His secretary walked up to him, then placed a letter on his desk. “I'm all welcome home, sir, if there's nothing else I need to do,” say hello to the woman politely.

Sigit nodded his head and took the letter. He sat back down when he saw the label on the back of the envelope. He waited until his secretary came out before taking out the letter that was inside.

His hands trembled and his sweat poured out as he read the contents of the letter. Not just one person, but there are many people who report their actions to the authorities. He was called to come and give evidence. Sigit never considered the good and bad of the spread of those photos to the media. All he thought about was escaping Finley's influence.

He completely forgot about the letter of agreement he signed with some of Mila's clients. The men sued him for violations of the letter of agreement, as well as the ITE Law, defamation, and so on with the paragraph listed on the statement of the summons. He escaped from the tiger's mouth, into the crocodile's mouth.
