He's The Unaffordable

He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 157 - Just Be Honest

What did they just talk about at this morning's meeting? Is there a problem at another store that I don't know about as a result of the model's presence over the weekend? Ah, it's impossible. If there was a problem, my friends would have told me. They were silent because of exhaustion, but no one looked sad or disappointed.

“What's up? Why does your face look so worried?” ask Hadi after we sit down. I just shook my head. “Sales increased rapidly over the past weekend. Our spending costs are covered with profits in those two days only. So, as a thank you, Papa will transfer the bonus for you along with payday later.”

“Really??” I just don't believe it. He's nodding. “So, all stores that carry out the same event experienced rapid sales? That's very good news. I'll think of what other plans we can do to increase sales.”

“Why do you look so happy?” tanyanya's confused. “You studied accounting, this is not your field. Are you seriously going to focus on helping this section over the next three months?”

“I was placed in this field, then I couldn't possibly just keep quiet and focus on financial matters, ‘kan? Grandpa said, I have to learn a lot from Om Hendra so I can work on being a director at Grandpa's company later.”

“Not because they want you to be able to get close to me again?” tanyanya.

I laugh. “That's the side effect they expected. Thank goodness, they succeeded.”

“They didn't succeed,” he said disapprovingly. Finally, the opportunity to discuss it came as well. He himself lured me to talk about it.

“Do you think I wouldn't know it from Hardcore?” my ask gave me a hint. His cold face turned pale. “You told him that I was your girlfriend. What did he say until you had to lie? Or do you really want me to be your girlfriend again?” I was glad to see he was suddenly speechless.

“We are at work. It is not good to talk about personal matters. I asked you here to discuss your next plan.” Hadi unlocked his computer screen. “I didn't watch the movie like you suggested, but I read some marketing ideas that I think are very creative.”

I followed by listening to what plan he had prepared. There are some very good ideas. He had even prepared all the details needed to carry out the event. He's much more systematic than I am.

According to the results of the meeting, the directors are waiting for a new plan that we will do for them to discuss at the meeting the following week. Having a special event every weekend also they do not mind as long as the results are as good as they happened at the weekend. But Om Hendra disagreed. He would rather surprise visitors than they know there will be something special every weekend at his store.

“We'll talk about this tomorrow after lunch. I have to go to college to see the lecturer. Chapter two my script is done and ready to be checked,” he said surprised me. When did he get to work on his script? I haven't even started my second chapter at all.

“Great once you can steal time to work on your script,” I said honestly.

“I use my evenings to work on it little by little. Otherwise, these three months would have been wasted. I don't want to pay tuition for next semester, so I have a thesis hearing for the longest time this December.”

He opened his desk drawer and took out a few pieces of paper. “You said you were interested in studying in the UK as well. This is one of the campuses that open scholarships for new students interested in taking a master's degree. You can learn the terms and prepare yourself.” He gave the paper to me.

There is complete information about universities, majors, lecturers, campus facilities, as well as the number of scholarships that will be received when graduating. Didn't Hadi say he didn't want me to go to college in the same place as him? Why did he give me all this detailed information?

“Don't look at me like that. This campus is a good campus. If you are serious about replacing Om Edu, then this is the best campus where you study. Who knows you can be like Papa by cooperating with foreign companies,” he said to provide support.

My heart was glad to hear it. “Thank you, Hadi. I'm so happy.”

“I don't want to hear thank you. Show you can graduate and get that scholarship, then that's enough.” He smiled cynically. “that's also if you can meet all the conditions they registered there.”

“I'll eat in canteen.” He locked his computer screen.

“I'm eating in the room only.” I stood up, but stopped the pace so reminded of the important thing. “Oh, yes. Regarding our status, are we now officially dating?”

Hadi looked around us with a worried face. “Do you have to discuss that here? Go to your room and eat.”

“So, we're not girlfriends. Does that mean I can be close to any man?” I ask again, not to delay to finish this.

Lips close. “Do not try. You can only be close to the men I agree with.”

I laughed hearing that. “Do you think I'm Dira? Grandpa and Grandma did not forbid me from being close to men. Why do you who are a nobody feel entitled to ban me?”

“Listen,” he said half a whisper while standing close. “Tegar is only interested in your treasures and status. I'm trying to protect you. No other intent.”

“There is my family who will protect me. Why do you feel obligated to do the same?” ask again. He closed his lips and did not answer. “Hadi, until when do you deny your own feelings?”

“Clarissa, Hadi, is everything okay?” The person Hadi was referring to was standing near us. He looked at the two of us in turn. “Already at lunch hour, come on, we go to the canteen.”

Without warning, Hadi wrapped his hand on my shoulder. He slightly pulled my body closer to him. “I'll order food and eat with my girlfriend in the room. You eat with them.” Rigid eyes rounded to see the courage of Hadi's attitude. Just natural. It's the first time he's blatantly embracing me in front of our division's first friends.

I smiled happily because I could hear him say it. Not from the mouth of a Stiff or anyone else. The man was quiet and walked with the other employees towards the door. I was afraid of ruining the atmosphere, so I just kept quiet when Hadi let go of his embrace. She typed something on her phone, then took me to my work space and friends.

“Did that also include your way to protect me?” ask me after opening my lunch box. He's just pouting. “We agreed not to do this again, Hadi. Luca was the last person we lied to. I'm sorry, but I don't want to play anymore.”

“So, you prefer to be close to whichever men you want?” he said he didn't like it.

“You are also free to be close to any woman you like,” I said do not want to lose.

“It will never happen. I never want to be close to any woman.” He sighed loudly. “Good. You want us to get back together? Okay. But there are conditions.”

I looked at him in disbelief. My heart was already pounding with pleasure, beating faster and faster. I didn't hear wrong, ‘kan? “You're serious? I don't want to be in a relationship with you if you feel forced,” I said objecting.

“You better say yes or no immediately, before I change my mind,” he threatened. Men are worth their high self. What's wrong with telling the truth that he's still in love?

“Good. But I also have a condition,” I said not to lose.
