He's The Unaffordable

He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 2 - Work

I took a good look at the room chosen by Sigit. This was much better than the room he usually ordered. The hotel clerk placed my suitcase on a shelf next to the wardrobe, then took a break after telling me where the room key was placed.

It's not my first time staying at a hotel, but I'm not trying to rectify it. I nodded towards the lock spot where he placed the card that immediately activated electricity in this room. After giving her a proper tip, I asked her to leave me.

As soon as the door closed, I installed the latch so that no one could enter despite having the key to this room. I believe in hotel employees who will not damage the reputation of their own workplace, but there is no harm in keeping watch.

I glanced at the watch, and the hour hand showed that I only had less than two hours to get ready. I immediately took out a blue dress from the suitcase and put it on the hanger so that the cloth does not tangle. The color that will further clarify the color of my eyes.

Usually I wear false hair with a darker color in accordance with the color of most people's hair, also using dark-colored contact lenses. But my client this time was a stranger, so I wanted to appear as is. My blonde hair and blue eyes will make me look prettier than my fake looks.

My phone vibrated on the counter, on the side of the makeup kit that was still in disarray. I read the new message in my inbox. From Sigit. Colin's gonna be here in fifteen minutes. Make sure you're ready when he knocks on your door.

I looked at my reflection in the mirror. My hair was draped with one side of me wiping behind my ears revealing beautiful long earrings hanging from my ears. A blue dress with a sabrina collar and short sleeves wrapped around my upper body perfectly, then the skirt widened to slightly above the knees.

Colin instructed that I wear polite clothes, then this was a safe choice. Thankfully, this time the client did not ask me to wear clothes that showed my cleavage. Although I do this for a lot of money, I am not comfortable when men stare at my chest, not my face.

Cream-colored shoes and matching colored handbags complete my appearance. I took the phone and put it in the bag. There are only a few pieces of money, ID cards, and tissues in it. I also did not forget to put face powder and lipstick.

When the door was knocked, I was ready for my mission. I swept my eyes around me and smiled satisfied to see the room was still neat and the bathroom was also clean. I opened the door and the latch helped hold it open just a little.

“Colin Andrew Lewis,” says the young man standing at the door. It was the name of my client, so I closed the door, removed the latch, and opened the door wider.

“Hai, Colin. I'm ready.” I smiled sweetly at him. Unlike my usual clients, he didn't spend much time looking at my appearance. What an interesting young man.

Along the way, he was silent. I used that quiet time by watching her appearance. She had a brunette that she had left a little long, but still neat. I noticed her eyes were blue, brighter than my eyes. His body is tall and he seems to like exercising when viewed from his athletic body.

“You know that your attitude cannot be this way towards me in front of your friends later, ‘kan?” my God is trying to melt the atmosphere.

“I know what I should do later,” he replied in English.

“Oh, do you not speak Indonesian but can understand me?” aska I want to know.

“Don't say you don't speak English. Because I paid your services so dearly to pretend to be my boyfriend from America,”. Ooo, that means talking to me in a foreign language. Although the Indonesian language is quite fluent, the American dialect sounds still thick.

“Don't worry about that. Just worry about your acting in order to convince everyone,” reply me. He smiled happily at my words.

“I can act.” He rolled his eyeballs. “How can you speak Indonesian fluently?”

“I grew up in this country. That's all I know.” I lifted both my shoulders.

“What do you mean that's all you know? Don't you have parents?” tanyanya wants to know. We won't see each other again after my work is over, so I decided to be honest. He looks like a good guy anyway.

“Everybody has parents. I just don't know who they are,” me. He looked at me for a moment. “I was taken care of by my adoptive parents.”

“Oh. Ii'm sorry. We'll have fun tonight, I'm asking a sensitive question.” He looked back at the road in front of him. “So, don't forget. You can say any name to them. But other facts cannot be wrong. We met on summer break last year. All this time we were in a long distance relationship and ended up falling in love.”

“You also must not forget. The rule is, no kissing or intercourse. You can only kiss your cheeks, forehead, but do not go down to your neck, nor should your hands. You only pay me for three meetings, so choose your time well. And don't let it pass this month. I have another job.”

“Iya, yes. I know.”

“Then, what kind of girl should I be? Cheerful, serious, grumpy, short-tempered?” ask again.

I'm laughing a little. “Does this girl like to stick to you?”

“No. I just don't want you to over-act until you cross the line. I just want to end our relationship well, not break her heart.” He sighed softly.

This young man is really strange. He seems to dislike this plan. And since when will breaking up a relationship not break the heart of our loved ones? Does he want to end the relationship or not? My other clients have always looked excited and determined to do this kind of drama. But he didn't.

He pulled his car into the parking lot of a restaurant. My heart started beating a little faster. Although this is not my first job, it always feels thrilling. If it wasn't for me needing money, I wouldn't have hurt anyone like this.

“You ready?” he asked as we stood at the door of the restaurant. A waiter opened the door for us. I nodded slowly.

The waiter took us to a room. As he opened the door, there was the sound of conversation inside. They were suddenly silent when they saw me, then towards Colin. There were dozens of people in the room. They all look the same as me and Colin.

“You're very late, Cole. Not as usual. Come on, come in,” said a young man with a very friendly face. When we met a glance, he looked at me for quite a while before looking back at Colin.

“I'm sorry. I have to pick up my darling first.” Colin pulled my hand that was in his grasp to follow him. He was speaking Indonesian, so I had to pretend I didn't understand their conversation.

He invited me to the table where the young man who greeted him was. The people sitting at the other table had already resumed their conversation. But the one sitting around this table is not.

I sat next to a very pretty girl, then Colin sat in the corner, by my side. All the eyes around us were still looking at me, making me a little awkward. The young man who was engrossed in his food and no longer cared for us.

“Ng, babe. I left my phone in the car. I'll be right back.” Colin patted the shirt pocket and his pants were looking for something. Just be right. He's gonna leave me in the middle of a stranger alone?

“So, you're Colin's friend?” ask the girl sitting by my side. I don't know what to answer. “Ah, introduce. I'm Erendira. Call me Dira.” She extended her hand to me with a sweet smile not stopping to adorn her face.

“Mila. No, I'm her lover,” I said as she shook her hand. The girl named Dira looked at me intently.

“You must be lying,” said the young man sitting in front of me, the young man who greeted Colin first. “Do you not know that Dira and Colin are engaged?”

Oh. Damnit. Why didn't Colin tell me about this? What do I have to deal with not a girlfriend but a fiancee? Has he gone mad leaving me alone to face them all?

Meanwhile in parking lot~

Colin half ran up to his car, then opened the front door, and sighed with relief at the sight of his phone still safely tucked away on the side of the front door. When he picked it up, it shook. He immediately checked the screen, then took a deep breath.

“Halo, Ma!” sweep it with joy.

“Where are you? Why did I call Lily and she said you weren't with her? Did you leave your own sister again?” namel Gista with fierce.

“No, Ma. I asked Hadi to pick him up from school. Now we are having dinner together.”

“Your friend's birthday celebration?” Colin. “Ya, already. Don't come home too late. Your dad won't be happy to see you guys coming home longer than him.”

“Iya, Ma.” He ended the phone call after greeting her. Just closing the door and locking the car, the phone shook again. This time a message came in. He immediately opened it because the number belonged to Mila.

So, my rival is your fiancee!? Hurry back!

“Oh, God ...” Colin rubbed his face and rushed back to the restaurant.
