Because of what my pretentious sister said last night, I couldn't sleep thinking about Colin and our broken relationship. Even the special dinner to celebrate Brother's graduation to his final step towards the green table I couldn't enjoy. Mr. Fahri and his team cooked a very delicious meal, but it tasted bland on my tongue.
Plus, the incident when Colin and Clarissa talked so closely that they laughed together I could not get it out of my head. They're just friends, ‘kan? No special relationship? Because they look more familiar than when Brother and Clarissa were still ordinary friends. Even when they got engaged, Clarissa did not act that familiar with Big Brother.
No, no, no. Clarissa wouldn't do that to me. Even though she did not love Brother or had never said any feelings to Kak Hadi, she did not love Colin. That's not possible. In the past they were just pretending to be close, nothing serious. But what if now a special feeling grew between them? Clarissa and Colin are both alone. So, what is keeping them from being together?
“Have you seen your face in the mirror before leaving here?” charlotte asked as I sat by her side. Somehow he could see my face well behind my sunglasses. “You're pale as a living corpse.”
“I don't want to listen to criticism about my performance today. So, stop, Charlotte.” She is Clarissa's younger sister. I don't want to talk to her asking what's the connection between her brother and Colin.
Adi who was sitting on my right smiled meaningfully. I took a deep breath to calm my emotions. This is not the right place to fight with him. Brother Hadi who just came also gave a meaningful smile to me. So obnoxious.
“Ah, Clarissa is out of the exam room.” Charlotte read the message on her phone. “We will be there to accompany him waiting for the result to be announced.”
“You want to come, Hadi?” asked Wyatt to tease my brother. He just kept quiet and sat by my side where Charlotte was before. “Ah, she's still mad at your sister, Sweety. I told you, their relationship is no longer hopeless.”
They walked away from us. “Means my plan is right,” Charlotte said in a loud voice so we can still hear it. “Grandma is coming to bring a suitable candidate for Clarissa. Let's hope he's as good and romantic as you are, Honey.”
Big Brother's jaw stiffened hearing that sentence. Me and Adi laughed a little at her reaction. Brother Hadi glanced sharply at the two of us, then we just kept quiet, unwilling to look for a commotion. Besides, I don't want to mock me for being a weapon to eat, sir. Brother could have replied to me by discussing my relationship with Colin.
Not long after, Colin went out with his other friends who attended the seminar. Lily stood up first and ran over to her sister. Judging from his face, I can guess that the test did not go well for him.
“Stop acting. I know the seminar went well. Your supervisor is a good lecturer, not as fierce as my lecturer,” said Kak Hadi ketus.
“Having a good friend is sometimes very terrible. How do you know what's inside my head?” Colin shuddered slowly.
“So, you can answer all the questions well earlier?” ask Lily to know.
“Of course.” Colin patted his chest proudly. “I won't want to lose to Hadi. You will be proud of me later.”
“You failed too, I'm still proud of you.” Lily hit her brother's chest.
Colin breathed in surprise. “You pray I fail?”
Lily was just kidding. Moments later, Colin and the other seminar participants were asked to return to the room. After waiting for a few minutes, they came out and Colin's face was very cheerful. We are not waiting to congratulate him.
Clarissa also came up with the exact same expression. Charlotte preceded him by telling us she graduated with a satisfactory grade. I looked at the three of them in turn. Clarissa did not pay any particular attention to Colin, she instead glanced towards Kak Hadi as she thought no one was watching her. Colin wasn't looking at Clarissa either, but at me. I immediately threw away my face when our eyes met.
Just like the day before, we headed to the restaurant of Clarissa and Colin's choice to eat together. Kak Hadi complained because they could pay for our food, while he had to bear the bill alone.
“You can order as much food as you want, Hadi. Win-win solution,” said Colin casually.
“And ruin my own body? No thank you,” reject Kak Hadi.
Charlotte asked Colin how the proposal seminar was. The young man answered enthusiastically. As Kak Hadi has said, his guidance lecturer is very good and helpful when there are questions from lecturers who seem ambiguous or cornered. The thing my brother didn't feel, because all the compact lecturers attacked him. And they failed.
Next, Adi who asked how the seminar experience Clarissa. He has no significant difficulties. Every question he could answer well and there was no attitude of the examiner lecturers that was different from what they used to show when teaching in the lecture hall.
“Then how did you get the seminar on the same day and hour? Have you guys made any prior agreement?” tanya Adi poured oil on my heart which is still hot. He did this intentionally. “While your majors are different.”
“I'm very lucky to get the last quota. If I'm a few minutes late, I'll definitely have a seminar tomorrow. I'm not sure I can wait that long,” Colin said. “Quite talk about us. My head almost broke because I was talking. What about you guys? PTN selection is in sight, are you ready?”
“The minimum graduation rate of your campus is very high. I've tried several times and haven't achieved that value. I don't believe I can pass, but there's no harm in trying.” Charlotte shrugged both of her shoulders.
“Language is still an obstacle for me, but I'm pretty confident I can pass. I can't wait to be your junior on campus,” Wyatt said confidently.
They all then set their sights on me. “I have a great teacher, so I'm not worried about facing the entrance selection later.” I smiled at Brother Hadi.
“When he graduates, it's a miracle. Because he also has difficulty achieving a minimum graduation score,” taunted Kak Hadi. I just pouted hearing it.
“If Colin can enter, then Dira can also. She's smarter than my sister.” Lily laughed a little.
Colin shook his head. “I can't believe my own sister talks so.”
“I speak as is. The reality is so,” said Lily defended herself.
“But there are more important things besides our academic affairs,” said Big Brother with a serious face. “Early next month, Finley's trial will begin. And according to Papa, the trial of Vivaldo and Nora will also follow a week later. We better not be outside the house. Because I'm sure, once we testify, reporters will be eyeing us wherever we are.” Brother swept his eyes.
“Then, we are lucky. PTN entry selection will be held before trial starts.” Wyatt turned to Clarissa. They'll be two of the many witnesses who will be damning for Finley. I gulped imagining that I was a key witness in the trial of two bad guys, my parents' arch-enemy.
“Hopefully they are all severely punished. They do not deserve to be pitied. But I do regret one thing. Finley can't be prosecuted for the kidnapping he did when Clarissa was a baby.” Charlotte held her brother's hand. “That's his greatest crime that can't be forgiven.”
“Iya. He kidnapped just to waste Clarissa in the care of a stranger who doesn't care much less about her,” I said adding.
“It's as bad as that don't need to remember anymore. I've met my family back. That's the most important thing. I have a good-natured grandfather and grandmother, also a nosy sister.” Clarissa pretended to pinch Charlotte's cheek.
“From the many restaurants you can go to, you have to choose this restaurant, Clarissa? Are you still unable to move on from your memories with us?” Without us noticing, someone was standing next to our table. I knew that voice, but since when did he speak Indonesian?

Valeria clenched her hands to see Hadi and Colin chatting so closely with the girl who had been his girlfriend. His efforts to get close to Colin have not come to fruition and he has to deal with the mysterious girl who always wears the hat and sunglasses.
He had never seen the girl before, so he did not know how to behave. But he knew that the girl was very familiar with the two young men he wanted to approach. First Clarissa, then now the second girl shows up.
The plan to get the young man who is targeted by almost all students on this campus is getting far from successful. Hadi doesn't care about him at all. Not even giving one chance. She has done everything to enhance her appearance. But the young man falls in love with the girl with blond hair and blue eyes.
“Alright, Hadi. If I can't get you, then no other girl.” Valeria's lips tightened and she turned her back, away from Hadi and her friends.
