He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 65 - Recovering Quickly

*Hadi*

I hear the sound of conversations near me. I opened my eyes and saw the white ceiling. The air that entered my smell was very fresh, so I took a deep breath until the air filled my lungs.

“Kakak!?” Suddenly Dira's face dominated my vision. “Oh, thankfulness!! Sister finally woke up too!” She hugged me tightly and placed her head on my chest.

“Dira! Careful. Your brother is in recovery. Your hug can hurt him!” peekik Mama panicked. I smiled hearing it. I am so happy that I am in the middle of my family.

“Stupid brother!” Suddenly hitting my chest made me complain of pain.

“Dira! Stop!” Mama was standing on my right side, blocking my sister from hitting me again.

“He slept so long that it made me worry. How can I not be angry, Ma?” said Dira defending himself. “Basic brother stupid!”

“Doctors deliberately put him in a coma so that his recovery is faster. Your brother did not accidentally sleep long and did not want to wake up,” Mama said again.

“What do you guys do?” I heard Papa's voice on my right side. I looked up and the door of the room was open. He came in and closed it back as soon as our eyes met. “Hadi? You're awake, son?”

Papa checked my situation, then pressed the button on the back wall of my head. Not long after, the doctor and nurse came in. The white-robed man checked my physical condition. He told me I was okay. As he examined the right side of my body, my eyes were rounded seeing my skin turn bluish dark.

The incident at the time of the accident was playing in my head. I was driving a car when suddenly a car from the right speeded up and hit the right side of the car, right where I was sitting. I was lucky the car was equipped with an air bag on the steering wheel and side window glass. My head was protected from the hard impact.

But looking at the condition of my right body, it seems like they are using something hard on the front of their car. Because I shouldn't have been hurt like this. Papa's new German-made car is the latest output, a replacement for my car that was damaged some time ago. I shouldn't have been hurt or bruised at the time of the accident.

“We will give painkillers again with a smaller dose. His vital condition was stable and he recovered quickly. If he stays stable until tomorrow morning, then he can go home and rest at home.” The doctor gave me happy news.

My mom and dad thanked him. The doctor and nurse came out of the room, and Dr. Andreas came in with a happy face. He's our family doctor who's been working for us since I wasn't born.

“Good day, Hadi. Your face is still pale but your doctor says you recover quickly.” He walked near the side of my bed.

“Good day, Doctor. Yeah, I feel better. Just a little pain in my right side.” I didn't even dare touch her because it would hurt.

“Therefore we were forced to put you to sleep for three days. When you are aware, you will not be able to endure the pain.” He turned his head towards the tray on the wheeled table, not far from the bed. “You haven't eaten yet? You better eat and drink something. You must be hungry.”

“Ah, about it .. can Hadi eat the food we brought from home, Doc?” mama asked while lifting a bag that I believe contains a box of food.

“Of course you can. I know Fahri is insightful, so he will cook a healthy meal for his young master.” He blinked one eye at me. “Good. I just want to see how he is. I'm going around again to see my other patients. Call me when you need anything.”

We simultaneously thanked him. Papa escorted Doctor Andreas out of the room, while Dira brought the table closer so that Mama could put food on the table. Trays containing food from the hospital were moved to the table.

While I was eating, they took turns telling me what happened. Regarding the bruise on my right side, the CT scan, and the doctor's decision to put me in a coma. For a few days they did not come home and rented a room in the hospital so they could take turns accompanying me.

They were worried Finley would send people to hurt me, so they didn't let me be in the room alone. Papa doesn't even care about hospital rules. Finley's man could have disguised himself as one of the medics and there would be no one to stop him because they didn't suspect his appearance.

My family watches too many action movies, but I understand why they think that way. The accident was proof that someone wanted to kill me. What makes them think that I'm a threat, I don't know.

“Dia—” says Papa answered my question.

“Hadi!” The door of my room opened and a girl was standing in the doorway with a face drenched in tears. He was stunned for a moment to see me eating, then he swept a gaze toward Papa, Mama, and Dira. “Oh. Forgive me.”

Clarissa closed the door back. I don't understand what he's doing. He suddenly came, then left just like that? But looking at his appearance earlier, it seemed like he was also being treated at this hospital. Because it is impossible for patients from other hospitals to get out without the knowledge of the nurse without changing clothes first.

“Let me take care of.” Papa stood up, then he walked over to the door. Mama and Dira exchanged glances while hiding their smiles by putting their hands in front of their lips. “Come, Son. You want to see the state of Hadi, ‘kan?” said Papa.

“Come, login, Clarissa.” Mom pulled her hand so she could get into the room, and Papa closed the door again. “Have you had lunch? Where are your grandparents?”

“Already, Aunt. Ng, they're in my room. Last we ...” He looked at the door, then at Mama. She was sitting on the chair on my right side, where Mama was sitting.

“Did you just run here? Your breath is wheezing,” asked Mama worried. Clarissa smiled nervously. I don't know what made him behave wrong.

“I'm sure Claudia and Lindsey teased him about Hadi's situation until he came here. They might tell him that Hadi is dying.” There was a knock on the door, Papa who was still standing by the door opened it. “True, ‘kan, what I said.”

Aunt Claudia and Aunt Lindsey walked into the room with nosy smiles, while Uncle Mason and Om Edu just shook their heads. This sight is very strange. How could there be Uncle Mason and Aunt Claudia here?

“Oh. You don't have to be surprised. Grandpa and Grandma did not return to America. Wyatt is also here.” Clarissa looked towards the door. And sure enough, Wyatt showed up with Charlotte. The young man walked with a happy face, opposite to Charlotte. He seemed to want to escape from this place as far as possible.

“What happened? How can they be here?” many confused.

Finley sat restlessly in his seat in a room reserved for him to speak with his legal counsel. Two officers stood behind him, ready to stand by. His feet were swaying under the table and his fingers were tapping on the table. Every now and then he glanced towards the door and hoped that someone would appear there.

He took a deep breath and turned towards the wall clock for the umpteenth time. The person he had hoped for had not also come after half an hour of waiting. Not long after, the door opened and a man wearing a neat suit entered the room.

“Good morning, Mr. Taylor,” greet the lawyer politely. “Good morning, Mr. Police.” He nodded thinly towards the two officers who were behind Finley.

“No need to mince words, I don't have much time and I have a lot of things I need to discuss with you,” Finley said grumpily. “Why did you come so long? Are you really the most reliable lawyer in the country?”

“Your case is very heavy, so you should learn to be humble and polite in order to win the heart of the judge. This arrogant attitude will be of no use in the trial later.” The man placed his bag on the table, then sat down on the chair opposite Finley. “I'm not late because I want it, but I need to study your case before we discuss at length.”

“I don't need to discuss anything with you. I want you to show your skills by studying this case yourself and finding a way to ease my punishment. If you can do a miracle, prove my innocence,” Finley said sharply.

The man laughed loudly. He hooked the fingers on his hands on the table, then brought his body closer to Finley. “Even God will not let you escape punishment. How can you expect me to do the impossible?

“The girl is at home with you with a priest who almost got you married. You are lucky he is past the age of marriage or you will be subject to a heavier sentence for forcing minors to marry,” the lawyer said calmly.

“I don't care, It's your business. I wanted to meet you just to say one thing. Tell Sigit, it's time to do the next plan. I want the family destroyed for what they've done to me.” Finley growled with his anger.
