Being this close to Clarissa didn't make my head scream loudly for me to get away and immediately keep my distance. Things that usually happen to other girls. I wanted to touch her cheek longer, not leave her side, and I made a mistake.
With such a close distance, I looked towards her lips. He opened his mouth wanting to say something, but he locked the intention. What would he do if I kissed him now? Is he going to slap me or return my kiss?
My heart was beating so fast that I was afraid she would hear it. Blood seemed to be rustling from my head all over me as he closed his eyes and rubbed his cheeks on my hands. A sensation I had never felt before.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door, blowing away whatever was between me and Clarissa. We simultaneously moved away from each other and did everything we could to cover up the nervousness we felt. She tidied her hair and clothes, while I cleared my throat and looked around us, wherever it came from not in her direction.
“It looks like there is someone outside the room,” he said slowly. He stood up, but I held him back.
“Let me just check, all of you call the waiter to clean up this tea spill.” I stood up and walked towards the door.
The moment I opened it, it opened so quickly as if someone was pushing it from the outside. A startled shriek greeted me and I reflexively held onto someone stumbling towards me. Aunt Lindsey straightened her body and tidied up her clothes, while Charlotte who sat on the floor immediately stood up. I hugged Aunt Claudia who was staring at me while grimacingly flaunting her neat teeth.
“Grandma? A grandma? You too Charlotte?” asked Clarissa who was already standing by my side. “What are you doing on my doorstep?”
The three of them grimaced and exchanged glances. From their faces, I knew they were ashamed of being discovered. I laughed when I realized what they were doing here.
“Don't say you guys think we did a no-no in the room.” I looked at them one by one. Since they didn't answer immediately, I knew that my suspicions were correct.
“Grandpa! Why are you guys doing this? Me and Hadi were just discussing something,” protested Clarissa. “I'm sorry, Hadi. I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable.”
“I'm fine. Don't worry about me. This isn't the first time they've been curious about what I'm doing behind the door.” I laughed amusedly. The faces of the three of them grew red. “You guys talk, I'll call the waiter.”
When I was far enough away from them, I heard Clarissa protesting the behavior of the three family members. I went down the stairs and walked to the back of the house. The waiters were sitting relaxed while enjoying their afternoon snack. One of them saw my arrival and immediately stood up.
“There can we help you with, Mister?” ask him politely.
“We accidentally spilled tea in Clarissa's room ..” I said reporting.
“We will clean it soon, Mr.” The young woman took a tray, a small towel, and another woman took a basin and filled it with water.
I thanked him and left the room. The servants walked faster than me towards the top floor. I smiled imagining Clarissa was still fighting with the three of them. Surely Aunt Lindsey and Aunt Claudia think me and their granddaughter are making out like lovers. We were just talking about a gift for Charlotte and Wyatt.
Since I didn't see Wyatt with them, I decided to join him in the living room. Clarissa and her family will also definitely come down. Anyway, my business with Clarissa is done. Mr. Abdi will receive his order sent to my home address.
The living room was empty as I opened the door and looked inside. Where the hell is Wyatt? Maybe he was in his room? As I was about to leave the room, I faintly heard the voice of someone being angry.
I closed the door and walked towards the sound. The terrace related to the living room looked empty as well, but as I got closer the sound became clearer. I approached the window and slightly revealed the curtain, Wyatt standing in the corner of the terrace with his phone in his ear.
“No. You're the one who's listening to me. Grandpa Mason and Grandma Claudia are good people. They even treated me better than my own parents. You lied to me and I've heard enough of all your bullshit,” Wyatt said in a stifled voice.
“I don't care about your past stories or the crimes Aunt Abby has committed. I'm sure you lied about it too. This family is a good family, not like you told me. You'd better check in with a psychiatrist, because you're the real villain.
“Which good person kidnaps a toddler and then throws him away from his family? Which sane person is still trying to separate such a young girl from her family again? Don't lie, Finn, I know you told people to stop Clarissa and Hadi from coming to her family's house. Whatdidyou say? I don't give a shit. I'm not afraid of your threats.
“Please tell Charlotte anything, I'll confess first. I don't work for you, you lie to me so I hate this family. But I will not do what you say. I respect Charlotte and will not damage her for your personal vendetta. I told you, we don't have any relationship anymore. So, stop calling me. This is the last one, Finn. Goodbye to.”
Goddamn bum! What was the fault of this family until someone hated them so much? Uncle Mason is a good man, and so is Aunt Claudia. Those who do not know them know that they cannot do evil. They did treat the enemy or the person who was evil to them cruelly, but who would not behave like that?
Yeah, God. I've seen how Dira tries to be tough by always being cheerful in front of us since she broke up from Colin. But every night I could hear her sobs from behind her bedroom door. What would happen to a girl as happy as Charlotte if she found out that the young man she loved was cooperating with the man who had kidnapped her brother?
“Oh.” I was already sitting on one of the sofas when Wyatt returned to the living room. He closed the window which at once served as a door to the side terrace. “H-hi, Hadi. You alone? Where is everyone?” She had a smile on her face, but I knew she was nervous. He must have wondered how long I had been sitting here and whether or not I had heard his conversation.
I didn't let him be curious for too long. “What does that guy want from you so you get close to Charlotte? What personal grudge did he have against this family until he did as low as kidnap a two-year-old?”

Meanwhile on top floor~
“Grandma! This must be Grandma's idea, ‘right? Where do I put my face because of you guys?” Clarissa covered her face with both hands.
“What am I doing? I just want to know if my suspicions are correct. That'sallthatis. I don't mind whatever you do with Hadi in your room. Anyway I don't mind having a great-grandchild anytime soon.” Claudia smiled amusedly.
“Grandma!” claudia and Charlotte together. The waiter who was cleaning the table laughed amusedly at the conversation.
“Already, already. Stop talking about this great-grandchild. I feel like I'm a lot older than I am because of you, Claudia.” Lindsey approached Clarissa and hugged her waist. “We'd better not leave Hadi too long alone downstairs. Come on, let's chat there.”
“Hadi is not alone, Grandma. There's Wyatt accompanying her.” Charlotte smiled happily. “Me and Clarissa are very lucky. We got a nice young man who's gonna be our husband! I'll let my sister get married first. We still need to finish our college before entering the household life, so I relented.”
“Ralat. I have never stated that I am willing to marry Hadi. Our engagement has not been fully official until the day Grandpa and Grandma come later,” Clarissa said.
“Oh, come on, Clarissa. When we go on a double date, you look very comfortable holding hands with her, sitting down and chatting so closely, and today you don't even think twice about being alone with her in your room. You two have obviously been acting more than just friends.” Charlotte looked at him meaningfully.
“Not mean I'm willing to marry her,” argues Clarissa stubbornly.
A waiter who happened to pass by helped open the door of the family room. They thanked him when he entered the room. Charlotte immediately sat down by Wyatt's side, while Claudia had to slightly push Clarissa to sit next to Hadi.
“What's with you two?” ask Charlotte who sees Wyatt and Hadi alternately. “Your faces are tense once. Is there a problem? Or have you just had a fight?”

Author's Note~
Waah .... What do you think of Wyatt? Is he a good or bad guy? What's Hadi gonna do, huh? Uncover the secret or just shut up? Then how did Charlotte and her family react when they found out? Hm, it is heavy if you have to throw a figure as handsome as him. #Writer's Dilemma
I am waiting for comments from friends. ^_~*
