*Clarissa*
He pressed my hand that was holding the pen onto the document he called the marriage letter. I just kept quiet, didn't put my autograph in there. Wh-wh-what for? I'm not Mila, my name is Clarissa. So, as he continued to threaten me, my hand remained silent.
“Can we use his fingerprint alone in exchange for a signature?” ask Finley in frustration.
“Cannot. To legalize this document must use the bride's signature, not her fingerprints,” the priest replied.
“Pertain by this letter. I can get his signature on another day.” Finley held my arm, then dragged me towards the door. “You won't be so stubborn again after you've enjoyed a day with me in bed. Let's see how long you'll be selling expensive like this.”
“I wouldn't be your wife!” I held back my strength as I rebelled to escape from it. It is not time to show my skills. I'm sure he knows that I can defend myself. But I want to be alone with him when I'm gonna beat him up.
It was easier for me to fight him alone than the three of them were augmented by his two big men. Even though I didn't see anyone else standing guard outside this room earlier, I couldn't underestimate my enemy. He might have a lot of people around the house.
“You have no other choice. Do you think I didn't put a lot of people to guard this place? You can't run away from me anymore.” My guess is correct. He opened the door and pulled me to follow him. But his steps stopped.
I looked in the direction he saw. A man wearing a uniform stood straight in front of us. “Finley Taylor, you are under arrest for attempted murder, kidnapping, and coercion recorded by highway CCTV, also we are listening and watching for ourselves at this time.”
Oh. Lord. Mercifully. The police came to my aid! Not just one person, but many. I was almost desperate because this bad guy took off my bracelet and my necklace. I was ready to break free by using whatever objects were near me to fight this person. It turns out they know I'm being held here.
Finley immediately wrapped his hand around my shoulder and a cold object was placed on my right temple. The policeman standing in front of me was immediately on standby with both hands in front of his body, a sign that he did not want to use force.
“You don't need to go to action so far. Lower your weapon and let the girl go, then the punishment for you will not get heavier.” The police tried to persuade Finley.
“Retreat! I'm not letting go of this girl. Move aside! Otherwise, I will break this pretty head!” From the click I heard, Finley must have pulled the trigger.
My heart is beating fast. I'm not afraid in the least, but I've never been this close to a firearm. Just a little wrong move, I could die silly. And I don't want to die from being shot. My future is long and I haven't had time to enjoy my life with my family.
“Pak, this place is surrounded. All of your men have been frozen, so please cooperate with you. There is no point in fighting back, so give yourself a good hand so that your punishment does not get heavier,” the policeman said again.
“You guys must think I'm messing around.” The loud sound of gunfire closed my ears. I was surprised by it. My heart is beating faster. When the gun's mouth was re-attached to my temple, I grimaced with heat. “Retreat! Now!”
My ears were ringing as the atmosphere around me was silent after the loud noise. That scream was barely heard in my ear. The policemen standing behind the officers in front of me walked backwards, making room for their friends to back away from us.
The man's hand in front of my body loosened, so I could bite his hand hard. He screamed in pain and pulled his hand away from me. A policeman immediately secured me as two policemen wrestled a gun from Finley's hand. Another policeman came in and detained four people in the room.
The two men and the two women were quite sane by not fighting the officers. They didn't help Finley at all when he held me back. It seemed like they were just people he hired and not his loyal subordinates. Just natural. It's not in his country and he's only staying here for a while. Unlike Colin's father who has worked and lived in Indonesia for a long time.
“Let go of me!” finley protested when the two officers managed to handcuff her hands in front of her body. “I'm a protected person and you're in my area! You can't catch me like this! Let go of me!” What a strange talk. Does he think this old house is an embassy?
The two policemen ignored his screams and dragged him out of the room. He looked at me and said a piece of crap that I was his legal wife, I just rolled my eyeballs. The woman he called Mila did not sign the marriage certificate. And that girl is not me.
The two men, the two women, and the self-styled priest were also taken out. The police who were with me asked me how I was. I wanted to get out of this place immediately, so I replied that I was fine. He led me out of the room to the front. I watched the mansion and was grateful to be able to leave without having to struggle against them.
The sound of sirens immediately greeted me when the door opened. Police cars and ambulances entered the grounds and stopped in front of the house. Looking at the specially dressed policemen, it seemed like they were making a secret arrest. After the criminals were caught, they all turned on the siren and entered.
The policeman with me led me to the ambulance. I sat where they asked me to so they could check on me. Only my head was hit by an accident and burns to the right temple from the mouth of a hot gun, but they suggested that I be checked further into the hospital.
“Oh, Clarissa!” call someone in panic. I must have hallucinated hearing that voice. The bump on my head must have been worse than I thought. “Clarissa! Thank goodness, you're fine.”
I looked towards the sound and suddenly someone hugged me. Not likely. My eyes cannot lie. Grandpa and Wyatt stood before me. And the woman who was hugging my body was Grandma.
“Grandpa? Wyatt's? Grandma?” ask me confused. Didn't they land in America? “What happened? Why are you here?”

Author's Note~
Hi guys. Earlier, I apologized for not being able to keep my promise and was only able to publish the follow-up story tonight. There was a problem next door that drained my thoughts and feelings, so I couldn't concentrate on writing.
Thanks for understanding, and the next chapter will be published tomorrow, yes. Hopefully, this mind can be invited to work together. Argos ...! ^_^
Greetings dear, dear,
Meina H's.
