He's The Unaffordable

He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 104 - Blind Jealousy

Hadi and I turned to the door. Dira stood in the doorway with a dead red face. One of his hands held the phone, while the other hand held the doorknob tightly until his hand paled.

“Polite girl doesn't eavesdrop on other people's conversations, let alone cut them, Dira,” scolds Hadi. “You didn't knock on my room door either. What if I change my clothes?”

“Sister always change clothes in clothes room.” He stared at me sharply. “You haven't answered my question. Who's Valeria?”

“What does this have to do with you? We're not friends, we're nobody, so why would I tell you who he is?” Dira closed her lips, restraining her anger. “What's up, Dira? Don't tell me you're jealous.”

He's laughing a little. “Jealous? Why am I jealous of you? You want to be close to any girl, I don't care.” He looked towards Hadi. “Sir, Papa asked. Do we have dinner tonight or tomorrow? To celebrate my graduation. Because Brother is going to the seminar tomorrow, Papa said, I have to ask Brother's opinion.”

“Tonight can also. I don't need any special preparation for tomorrow's event. I am ready,” Hadi replied lightly, he raised both eyebrows to me. Arrogant.

“OK! Then, tonight alone,” cheer Dira happy. He glanced at me, then threw his face away. I just laughed as he closed the door.

“Will things turn out better if I find flaws in our relationship?” I asked Hadi. He looked at me expressionlessly. “Good. Although I disagree with all of you.”

“Me and Clarissa also have the same shortcomings. That's why he doesn't want to fight for our relationship. Can't you guess what it is?” Hadi tried to give a hint, but my head was empty. I can't understand that sentence.

“Speaking about Clarissa. He will be in the seminar on Wednesday. Who knows you might be interested in supporting her.”

“I'm not interested. She is a strong woman, she can live her own life without me,” said Hadi who again put on a cold expression.

Love relationships should not be so complicated. If two human children want to be together and make each other happy, why pretend not to care? Hadi obviously still loves Clarissa. He could not hide his feelings during our vacation together in Bali. Why would he torture himself by staying away from him?

Clarissa would not dare to act first. The girl had many fears and doubts that held her back from reaching for what she wanted. I only know he was wasted by his adoptive family, betrayed by his co-workers, and he grew up in the midst of people who betrayed him after he gave his trust.

How could the girl with many injuries dare to approach Hadi who when viewed from the outside was perfect. He is handsome, intelligent, talented, liked by many girls, and comes from a rich and distinguished family. Only those close to Hadi's family know of the various problems that have tempted the family's integrity.

But I couldn't persuade Hadi to give the girl a second chance. He was too hurt to forgive the girl and accept her again. Unfortunately, his first love hurt him that deep.

“That's excellent news, Colin!” peekik Mama was happy when I told her that I was able to advance the seminar. “Excellent work!” I thank him.

“Is there anything we can help you to expedite your preparations?” ask Dad.

“No, Dad. Thank ye. I'm ready to be tested,” I replied with a little nervousness.

“Good. The important thing is that you are calm during the question session. Let's just say it's a regular test done orally, not in writing.” Dad patted my shoulder. I'm nodding. He looked towards Lily. “You two are our proud children.”

“My test results haven't come out yet, Dad. We don't know yet whether I pass or not,” Lily murmured.

“You must have passed, baby. Don't worry about value, we don't care about it. We've seen for yourself you tried hard to prepare yourself during your school.” Dad rubbed the top of my sister's head.

The office atmosphere of our majors is not like the usual day. There were a lot of women I didn't know standing peering towards the examination hall through the window. They brought something to their hands. Some carry a bouquet of flowers or a paper bag that I believe contains a gift. Today Hadi only attended a proposal seminar. How about on graduation day?

Although there are many people, the situation around me is quite quiet. Surely the lecturer had told them to be calm. The room was soundproofed, but the corridor where we were located was close to the lecturer's study. So, our voices can annoy those who are not testers.

“What is going on here?” I heard Dira's voice on my right. I turned my head and saw him frowning while sweeping his gaze around us. “Is there a concert or artist that comes to visit?”

“If you still do not believe that Hadi is loved by many women, you have seen the evidence now,” I said answering his question. “Where are you from? Didn't you and Hadi leave together from home?”

“Charlotte and Wyatt also wanted to come, so they asked me to wait near the entrance gate. They don't know which room the exam room is.” He turned his head towards the pair of lovebirds who stood so close, engrossed in their own world, not far from where we stood.

“Isn't there Clarissa who can get them here?” many confused.

“Didn't you guys have a lecture schedule? Why are you here?” He asked back.

“We don't have a lecture schedule on Tuesdays. Today Hadi usually goes to Uncle's office to help with his project. You must have forgotten,” taunted me. He patted her forehead.

In contrast to her attitude towards me the day before, Dira was a little relaxed and did not look upset with me. We talked casually about what was happening inside the examination hall at this moment. He also asked a lot about our department. I knew that she would follow in her brother's footsteps and attend this college. The three of them wanted to become entrepreneurs like Uncle Hendra.

“Fan Hadi is really a lot, yes. See what they brought for him.” Valeria who had come out of nowhere, stood by my side while looking towards the female students around us. “Did you never feel that you were just a shadow of her, Colin?”

“I and Hadi are good friends. No one is anyone's shadow.” I defended Hadi. He said something like this, what does that mean?

“I'm just saying what I've witnessed during our nearly four years of college together. You have no friends but him and no girl is interested in you. Are you not aware? All because you are close friends with Hadi,” Valeria said again.

My relationship with Dira is unknown to many. Some believe I already have a lover, while others are just skeptical. Anyway why am I showing off to and fro that I'm dating her? Dira is a model, so I don't want my privacy to be compromised because of being targeted by reporters.

“He who always gets the attention of everyone. The lecturer loved it and always praised because he could follow the lecture well. Our female friends are attracted to her and I'm sure they're ready to race for her attention before graduation. Then you? No one cares or is interested in you. People only know you're a friend who follows her wherever she goes. Ironic, ‘kan?” valeria said with a concerned tone.

“Ironis your head is bald!” exclaiming Dira in a loud voice attracted everyone's attention. His jaw tightened, his lips tightly clenched, and I saw his hands clenched tightly, holding in anger. “Ke here you are! Let me boot your heads!” Dira extended her hand to Valeria's hair.

Meanwhile in a lecture room~

Clarissa closed her eyes and closed her lips while taking a deep breath when once again, her phone vibrated a sign that there was a new message in the inbox. She was attending an important course and her sister did not stop texting her.

It's almost the same. Charlotte photographed the situation in front of an exam room full of girls carrying bouquets of flowers and gifts for seminar participants. Clarissa did not want to assume that they were the students who were appraising Hadi, but her sister continued to poison her mind by saying the opposite. He persuaded her to come and wait until Hadi finished the exam. Clarissa didn't care about all those messages.

Since the shakes didn't stop either, Clarissa pulled out her phone and disabled the shakes. His eyes unintentionally looked at the latest photo sent by his sister. Hadi was already outside the examination hall and the girls swarmed over him.

“Awas, you, Charlotte,” murmured Clarissa slowly.

The manda sitting next to him looked over. “Did you say something to me?” tanyakanya.

Clarissa immediately shook her head. They were asked to do some questions, so the lecturer did not pay too much attention to the state of the students. As long as they followed the discussion before the lecture ended, he did not care if they chatted to discuss or gossip.

But Clarissa did not worry about their discussion later. He began not to concentrate since seeing the photos there are many women who are near Hadi. What if one of them catches his attention?
