He's The Unaffordable
Chapter 64 - The Danger of Passing

Grandpa approached and checked my face. His forehead wrinkled and his eyes stared intently at the direction of my right temple. She wiped my hair carefully so she could see the wounds that were there. His lips held in anger.

“I'm fine, Grandpa,” I said trying to convince her. Grandpa just shook his head slowly. “Grandma, I'm fine.”

“Honey, we better let them do their job. We need to get Clarissa to the hospital right away. I don't want those burns to leave a mark.” Grandpa touched Grandma's shoulder. He let go of his embrace.

“Finley will definitely get the harshest punishment for his actions against you and Hadi.” Grandma framed my face with both her hands. He looked at my face and saw what had changed. “I'll accompany you in the ambulance.”

Since my head was throbbing again, I chose to lie down during the trip to the hospital. Grandma touched his hand without saying anything. I remembered that they had not answered my question, why they could be here. But I can ask you again later. For now I just want to rest.

When I opened my eyes, I saw that I was in a white room. Unlike the previous room, this room is cleaner and the air is fresh. Feeling the touch on my right hand, I turned my head. I met Grandma who was smiling at me.

“How are you doing, baby?” ask Grandma softly. There was Grandpa and Wyatt standing by his side.

“I'm good. It's just that my head hurts a little.” I raised my left hand, but there was someone holding it. I looked up and saw Grandma. Grandpa and Charlotte stood by his side. Their faces looked very sad.

“Don't stare at me like that.” I smiled at them. “I'm fine.”

“You're not okay.” Grandma looked at me sharply. “You have a mild concussion due to a hard impact. That jerk Finley gave you painkillers so you didn't feel them too much. You sleep all day and night because of him.

“Which man would tell people to hit a car that fast? He's gone mad. And he forced you to marry him? Fortunately, Mason moved quickly. Otherwise, something bad could happen to you,” Grandma said with fiery eyes.

“Quiet, darling. He's already in prison. We are waiting for the results of the police investigation and the trial will be held soon. This time, Finley won't be able to qualify again.” Grandpa tried to calm Grandma down.

“What happened?” many confused. “How can Grandpa and Grandma still be here?”

“We'll talk about that later. Are you hungry? Thirsty? Anything you need?” ask Grandma. Ah, right too. Hearing the words hunger and thirst, I felt it. I last ate at breakfast. Unfortunately, all that food I spewed.

I was not given hospital food. Mercifully. They brought food from home cooked by our chef. It was much better because I liked the food. I eat voraciously, not caring about the ridicule of those who ask me to keep ethics. There were no strangers in the room, only my family. Why do I keep an attitude?

Wyatt is the only person who feels weird being in this room with me. Is not he our enemy and is no longer welcome here. Then why did both my grandfather and my two grandmothers let him be in this room with us? Charlotte also seemed to be uncomfortable with the presence of the young man.

“To answer your question, we do intend to leave. Then Wyatt remembered something, so we cancelled our return. Without telling you all, we are looking for people who can follow you wherever you go. And our worries were evident when the accident happened and you were taken for granted.” Grandpa began his story.

“The tracking device from your necklace indicates that you are in a house, but they have moved from that house, bringing you in a fainting state. This hired man of mine followed you to the house where you were held captive.

“Finley helped us by forcing you to marry him. Now we have plenty of evidence to put him in jail for a long time.” Grandpa smiled with satisfaction.

“What about the confession that kidnapped me when I was a kid, Grandpa? What about the accident experienced by Papa and Mama?” I am half demanding.

“The accident that your parents have been through is legal, baby. The culprit had already served the sentence and he admitted that it was his own ignorance. No one asked or paid for it. As for the kidnapping case that you experienced, it has already expired. We can't do anything more.”

“But that's not fair,” my protest. I can't believe that the man wasn't involved in the accident that my parents had. I can't accept that he just escaped from the snare of law. He can't even be prosecuted for abducting me and separating me from my family?

“I know this is unfair. But I will make sure that he will get the most severe punishment for what he did to you and Hadi,” Grandpa promised. “I will also make his company bankrupt until there is no treasure left.”

“She said she gave everything to Mama, therefore she did all this to us. What does Grandpa mean by making his company bankrupt?” many wonder.

“Give everything? He only gave what a man used to present to the woman he liked. The attention, flowers, jewelry, and the biggest thing she gave to Abby was the house and the apartment. Come onl. It was just a small thing when compared to all the wealth he had.” Grandpa rolled his eyeballs.

“Wyatt also cheated. He claimed his family's company was almost bankrupt because of our family's actions and Wyatt believed. I understand because he is young, so he does not know who is honest and who is lying.” Grandpa gently patted Wyatt's back.

I turned towards Charlotte who still looked uncomfortable with Wyatt's presence. I can't imagine what she felt was here and watching her ex have the support of our grandfather. He smiled at me, then sat on the edge of the bed, to my left.

“Chealing fast, Clarissa. I'm lonely sleeping alone without you.” He put his head on my shoulder. “Our grandfather and grandmother did not allow me to sleep here to accompany you as long as you are unconscious.”

“Didn't you sleep alone for a few days?” goda Grandma who glanced towards Wyatt. “Why did you suddenly want to sleep with your sister?”

“You saw for yourself, ‘kan? They kept teasing me since you weren't home,” he said half sulking. I just laughed a little.

The four of them teased my sister because she had already lured them. I just laughed hearing our grandparents take turns reporting to me what Charlotte was doing at home as long as I was not around.

Although Wyatt is not part of our family anymore, it seems that the relationship between him and Charlotte used to make Grandpa and Grandma did not hesitate to open the behavior of their grandchildren in front of him. Anyway I know that he's a good secret keeper. I've never heard him say anything bad about my sister or unlock her secret.

Something felt strange about the atmosphere in this room. I look around me. My whole family plus Wyatt are here with me, but where is Hadi? Oh, aye! He was also in the car when the accident happened.

“How about Hadi?” ask my family. “Is he okay? Where is he?”
