17. Meaning of a friend

A friend who understands your tears is much more valuable than many friends who only know your smile."

"I actually have one big job offer to take care of that important person... but I don't have the courage to commit murder.

"you're sure anyone would dare to pay for that? " Handie is getting interested.

"i can introduce him to you. But can we be friends?" Udin looked at Handoyo sincerely and extended his hand like an early sign of introductions.

"Yes udin, you can call me Handoyo!"

They shook hands and Udin led Udin into a room at the inner end of the warehouse. The room was laminated with piles of old tires, and other furniture. It doesn't look like a room. Handoyo stared around. What a nice disguise for a warehouse with various supplies that no one ever expected.

"This warehouse originally belonged to my neighbor. I bought it when I got the project from "Bang Alex" .. He also designed this warehouse and used me to be an agent of the groceries and stocked some supplies, sometimes Bang Alex stops by to check if I'm doing my job right. He's got some "friends" in this Lampung town with some expertise.

"Does he pay 500 million per head?" Ask Handoyo.

"Yes.he's training some people to be as deft as he is. I think he'll be happy if you want to be his friend, but I think you understand the meaning of friendship with people like "Alex Bang"

"I don't understand the friendship that you mean, din... for me friends yes as in general, chatting, sometimes eating together, doing activities together for one activity... I do have a few friends in different activities.

"This one's different, Han.... Being friends with him means entering his group, getting a monthly salary and training together to do one big activity.

Their views collide. Handoyo. He felt his adrenaline rise with the friendship of this new model.

"Introduce me to him. Handoyo said as he went around looking at the interior of the office in astonishment.

Some certificates are on the wall of the room.  The man who is considered simple was once the best costume designer in the city of Medan, the best face makeup, the champion of 2 automotive competitions in southern Sumatra and other awards in the field of engine engineering.

"Din... What kind of friendship do you want from me?" Handoyo began to ask further at the man sitting behind the table and was making coffee.

"I just want us to be friends like ordinary people who don't care about what's the best... Bang Alex told me to put it up to show if there was any check-up at any time.I'm not an ordinary man, "Udin explained softly. "Han.. I admire you when you get rid of Andi and her father... but I know that Si Andi is not a good person, can we be friends in the real sense.

I put the car into the abyss, the car was because of the morphine I stole from the house of the important man, but I said because the son of the important man in South Sumatra who became a mistress... it was to save "Bang Alex"... "We go to Bandung tonight... can I drive?" I haven't driven that car in a long time..

A large house in the middle of a high fenced rice field.  Handoyo and Udin clawed twice as a sign to open the gate. The security guard who was guarding the house immediately approached but because he saw Udin sitting behind the wheel, he immediately opened the door.

'" Ih the Udin, the lady who came.. bang Alex is still in Braga, ntar ceu tika must have made you drink. " Well, friendly to Udin.

"Yes to Dadang.thank you I parked and waited on the terrace..

'Sok.. mango atuh!"

Udin and Handoyo sat down while slipping their legs after a whole night of driving from Lampung. They were greeted with breakfast, oncom tutug rice with fried chicken and sweet tea water.

Drowsiness after eating approached those who had been satiated and the breeze on the terrace made them not how long asleep in their respective chairs.  Not how long the expected people present and make Handoyo awake.

His gaze was directly on the man who was about 40 years old. The man walked straight towards the terrace where they lay.  Handoyo pokes udin who is still asleep. The man was also awake.

'Akh. bang Alex has come..thankfully, " Udin said as he stood up to welcome Alex who began to enter the terrace.

"Have you been in a long time?"  The greeting of Alex to udin and glanced at the man who was also standing beside Handoyo."Sit down... You must be tired... Who is din?"

"Akh bang... This car owner is bang...remember our phenomenal car?' Udin pointed to the Handoyo car he had driven from Lampung. Alex smiled at the car.

"have you checked it out? it's really the same car, " Alex said firmly.

"yes bang.. This is the same car. but he does not sell it... he wants to be a friend brother!" Udin immediately pulled Handoyo standing beside Alex.

Alex and Handoyo stared at each other intently. Alex extended his hand. "Hemm... Do you want to be my friend? May I know your skills?"

"do you have a gun?" I can shoot moving objects within 100 meters without missing? can I be tested?"

"really? interesting offer...well, I'll see it!"   Dang... dang... Get me my rifle in the living room!" Alex shouted at Dadang who was standing near the gate.

Dadang runs inside to retrieve the weapon meant by Alex.

'Every morning, in this region many birds like to fly.Can you shoot one for me, " Alex said as he pointed at a group of birds running across their heads .

"I try. and watch !" handoyo smile. He saw Dadang running towards them, and Handoyo immediately approached the field and pulled the weapon from Dadang's hand in a fast movement that made Dadang surprised. The weapon was out of his hand. Without even saying anything, Handoyo checked the weapon and docked it.

Dor... Dor.. Dor... Dor...

The four birds fell down not far from the gate. Alex, Udin and Dadang were amazed at the bird's fall and then turned to look at the man beside them in amazement.

"how.if this afternoon, we eat fried birds?" Handoyo smiled at them all.

:"you're great, man... "Alex immediately hugged Handoyo tightly and a happy expression was on his face.
