Bandung, September 21, 1990.

Anneke was confused when three officers from the office of the Force Corps where her father used to be on duty who picked her up from her small house in the middle of Bandung.  The officers wearing army uniforms asked him to come with them to Lampung. There was an emergency and Miss Anneke had to go to Lampung immediately, said a man in uniform.

Anneke was only able to nod and ask for a moment to take her clothes and wallet. The attendant was waiting for Anneke in front of her small house. Only her father found out about this house after the events that left her injured and away from her family.

Were they aware of the event that made him almost lose his chastity in the house because of the actions of his brother.   Akh.it is impossible that Dad would be willing to imprison his brother... Akhsan. The brother who was once considered his protector from the blow of Kak Andi who hated him so much. Akhsan's sister rebuked Afia who often insinuated him with hurtful words.

Father's son there are 4 people and only he comes from a different mother. The mother of Andi, Akhsan and Afia, their mother died while giving birth to Kak Afia and the father immediately married his mother at that time because there was no one to look after and care for his three children. And when Anneke was born, her three sisters didn't like her. Only Akhsan's sister is sometimes friendly and keeps her from her other brother's mess. But why did Akhsan almost rape her?"

The city of Bandung became Anneke's choice after he successfully entered the entrance test of public universities in this city. Since her mother died, Anneke always kept her pocket money at the post office which is located not far from her school in Lampung.

This house is a house purchased with all the money from his savings for several years in Lampung. His father accompanied him when he chose this house and helped arrange it. Father supported his choice to live independently in this city.  Only her father found out about this house after the events that left her injured and away from her family.

What emergency caused him to return to the city?   A little worry is in Anneke's heart. Is his father sick? Did his Father and stepbrother make trouble and he was asked to vouch for it. Want to ask further to the officer who was in this service car. But he sure won't get an answer. This 12-hour journey with the officers was painful because they were just silent along the way Bandung to Lampung.

When he arrived in Lampung , Anneke was more astonished because he did not go to his father's mansion. They're heading for Army Hospital. What is this? Is his father very sick? He stared at the officers in turn and they walked straight beside him without a word. Fret deepened in Anneke's heart.

But Anneke's steps slowed down when he saw Kak Aksan and Kak Afia who were in front of one of the rooms were having a serious conversation with a person whom Anneke thought was a doctor. Those who spoke looked towards Anneke's arrival with several young officers.

"Good day, doctor Johan.... We have brought the other daughter at the doctor's request, " said Lettu Pierre as soon as they were at the doctor's side.

Anneke only silently lowered her head as soon as she was in front of her two half-sisters. Verily Anneke was afraid, for almost 2 years they had not met and greeted.

"Anne.... " Sapa Akhsan is friendly." Do you dare to look at Father's condition?" Do I want a company ?"  Ask Akhsan gently. Afia just stared in silence. He was also shocked to see the condition of his father and first brother.

Anneke was surprised to hear that,  ."Dad's condition?" Why is it Akhsan's sister?"

"Some burned the bodies of Father and Brother Andi .. and we are asked to sign the receipt of the bodies of father and brother who have been autopsied tomorrow.

Anneke was speechless and unable to say.A little dizzy. His body was tired after the trip from Bandung to Lampung coupled with this sad news. I have to see Dad one last time.

"Doctor.... I want to see Dad... But can I see it for myself?" Said Anneke regardless of the gaze of his two brothers who do not consider him who, because there are no more fathers who glue their relationship.

"Well... Come with me!"  Doctor Johan stepped foot into the autopsy room located not far from the place.

Akhsan and Afia just stared at Anneke in silence and could not prevent the departure of her stubborn sister.They were forced to wait for a little sister whom they had not met for a long time.

His father's funeral was done with a magnificent military-style funeral process. While his brother who is not a soldier just runs like the community in general . Tired today soon passed by the three family members initi Setiono and two women who claimed to be Andi's wife. Some household employees and some relatives paid their last respects.

They followed the funeral procession with a troubled heart. News that a former general and a son were kidnapped and his brother burned in the town square by an unidentified person. There was a look of anger on the family's face that could not be covered.

After her father's funeral and her older brother's funeral, Anneke stepped slowly behind her two brothers into her father's mansion. Afia asked him to speak as a family about her family's financial condition after the funeral procession was over. Everything must be cleaned up and there is no escape or can not be contacted. Everything has to be done.

But to their surprise when they arrived at the gate of their father's main house, some people were locking and padlocking and putting a yellow banner that read a large red hurfu.

Anneke smiled reading the red text. His heart flowered to read the name printed in the writing. Different things were shown by her two brothers.

"Fuck you poor Carmen... You look for opportunities when we get a disaster..... You think who are you?" Open this lock chain !"  Akhsan shouted with emotion at the few people still standing around the gate.

"Sorry sir.this is a letter of introduction from the court and we do not dare to go against the law.please contact your lawyer only, " Said one of the men who used office uniforms from the state court.

"I'll kill you, Warmen !" Akhsan said with an angry shout and it was heard by all the people who were there.

"Be careful to speak sir.we can all be witnesses in court if you speak of threats, "The man said without fear and immediately stepped away from Akhsan, Afia and Anneke .

Akhsan fell silent and looked at the men who entered the car from the state court. He looked at his two sisters.

"We'll talk in my house, " Akhsan said, pulling Anneke's hand. But the handrail was immediately pushed aside by Anneke roughly.

"Don't touch me !"  Shouting Anneke. It made Afia look at Anneke and Akhsan with a probing look. As she remembered Anneke always obeyed Akhsan. What's up with them?

"Anne.now no father protect you.you must follow what I say and stay with me !" Akhsan pulled back Anne's hand and tried to drag her towards her car, while Afia simply stared at the actions of her two brothers in silence.

"I don't need your protection. I won't stay with a jerk like you...

Plak..plak... Akhsan's hard hand slapped Anneke's cheek and made Anneke speechless. Afia is surprised to see Akhsan's actions are usually able to control her emotions.

'Sir Akhsan..why are you so angry with him?" Afia asked Akhsan and tried to reconcile her two brothers. "If you guys stay like this how can we talk.you know.all banks are blocking the finances of Andi's father and brother...can you reconcile first and speak calmly....

"Sister Afia.I want to talk if in your house and do not live in the house of Kak Akhsan....I don't want to stay and set foot in a rapist's house..."Shouted the fiery Anneke.

Afia was shocked and Akhsan was silent at Anneke's words. Until a baritone voice from the man behind them made them realize someone was watching their quarrel.

"Anne.. I can take care of you from your fucking sister !"  Come with me .. and I make sure no one dares to bother you !"
