130. The First time

Life is not always what we expect. Sometimes there is a defeat in living it, sometimes there is a victory and so lulled by praise.  Sometimes time goes too fast, sometimes time goes too long. It is all in our lives, and we cannot avoid it. All we have to do is always try to do our best. Whatever the outcome, as long as we enjoy it, we will feel happy."

The President's entourage finally succeeded in completing state affairs and cleared some separatist heads in Dili, they got an invitation to fish on Petra Island, where they were invited, the southern tip of the island of Timor which does have a beautiful beach and can see dolphins while fishing there.

Petra Island is one of the islands that are the talk of Indonesia and Australia, so it is considered less safe if bringing family and seen by the media if the group is too many people.

The president did not bring his wife, but only brought two special forces members, and was accompanied by Generals Gaffar and Adiguna.  Tiara, the President's wife, and Tim Ballawa remained in Dili, accompanied by Aleesha. A pretty good and safe choice that was thought by General Gaffar was immediately approved by the President who was a strategist.

The president liked fishing so much that he slightly ignored security protocols and considered the invitation on Petra Island to be one of the neutral locations and not allowing attacks from Australian-affiliated Timorese forces.

On the way to Petra Island, the President sat down with General Gaffar and while the guard members consisted of only five people including Adiguna who continued to monitor around the ship which contained a deep blue sea expanse.

At that time Adiguna wore a hat and sunglasses, while other members of the guard team also looked the same. President and General Gaffar wore a white T Shirt and knee-length shorts. It was completely different from their everyday appearance. Completely undercover on this trip.

The ship was piloted by Andre who continued to focus while reading directions to Petra Island. The trip is expected to take nearly two hours. Adiguna looked at Andre who seemed to frown because he was separated from Ballawa, his teammate.

"Are we in the right direction, Dre ?" Adiguna started a conversation with her new partner.

"Would it.. Why?"

"I heard from General Gaffar, we will often meet with dolphins..."

"Maybe we're unlucky.but is the President angry if we don't meet the dolphin ?"

"See, he's just saying if there's 'em, you stop the ship and then we follow where the dolphin's going for a few minutes.that's General Gaffar's message."

"it's supposed to be a dolphin that's passing through the clock now...On!" There are dolphins !" Shouts from Andre with great joy.

Andre's shout broke the silence throughout the trip and made President and General Gaffar rise from his position.  The two smiled when they saw a group of dolphins passing through their ship and seemed to compete to make a dance move over the sea. What an interesting and pleasant sight on this trip.

The President stepped in and without realizing Adiguna, the man was standing near Adiguna who was observing many dolphins passing through it. The man whispered to her and it was heard by Andre.

"I heard you're a master of shooting?' Can you shoot me one dolphin in the leading position?'

"Ready President!"

"But with this dope shot, I want you to do it within the next 10 minutes!" The president patted Adiguna on the shoulder and left her with a smile .

Adiguna was stunned when she got a pat on her shoulder. The first pat of the man and for some reason he felt proud that the man was the one who started greeting him and knowing his skills.  Adiguna felt a bit strange with herself . I don't know what he's feeling, but he has to focus on his goal. The man who ruined his mother's life and hers.

Honestly, Adiguna wanted to know more than the man who ruled this country and asked him why he let his mother die horribly at the hands of his wife. Was there nothing he could do all this time? Doesn't it feel weird with Pramoedya or don't you know the lie he received?'

Adiguna is not a man who easily gets along with anyone especially in carrying out missions, but in order to achieve his goals, he tried to get closer to Andre who is Ballawa's best friend.

"Dre... chase the leading dolphin quickly, I have to shoot it.... You heard the President's orders right?'

"Ready and do it!" Andre said firmly.

tar.... anesthetic bullets fired and precisely hit the leading dolphin.

Adiguna turned his head and waited for the next signal, while Andre stopped the ship so that Adiguna could take the dolphin, and handed it to the President,  but it seems that the President only made it a time-lifter and told them to continue the journey.

After Adiguna tidied up the shooting equipment earlier, the President called Adiguna to sit near the President.

"Where did you learn to shoot?"  Tell me honestly.. That's not the style of Kyai Umar?" There's no way in pesantren, you can be like that.." The president opened a conversation on Adiguna as soon as the man sat down.

Adiguna looked at Gaffar who was smoking and sucked his cigar casually.

"Mama Aleesha once taught me. And I once tried shooting practice with retired soldiers who lived near the boarding school."

"If you see your style of shooting. You remind me of someone's style.Your hands that before setting the target always tidy your hair... but I feel..." The president looked at Gaffar who continued to suck his cigar. "Gaffar why are you asking me to pay attention to his style.. Tell me. What do you mean?'

The roar of the waves was strong, making the conversation of the three not heard by the members of the troops who were on the same ship. Adiguna began to understand that the rabbahwa who asked to shoot was actually Gaffar's plan

"He's following your shooting style, President.."  Gaffar replied calmly. "You should understand what I mean."

Gaffar got up from his chair and he said."I make coffee first... do you want General Suhartono and Adiguna?"

'Make it for us, gaffar... and you Adiguna..sit down!" The president smiled and patted the chair next to him as if asking Adiguna to sit next to him.

Adiguna took a short breath and tried to calm his heart thump that suddenly acted up. What does he really have to do, what is Gaffar's plan?  Does he need to tell this man the truth ? Or should he continue as Adiguna? Had Aleesha told him clearly, it would have been better.

This man first asked to sit with her. What would the man ask her. Adiguna tried to sit quietly beside the number one man in the country.

" Do you like fishing?"

"Not the President."

"What do you like?'

"shoot and eat well... " Adiguna tried to answer the question while half joking.

"I love seeing your style shoot, Di. tell me the truth about where you learned to shoot."

"I learned a lot of self-taught.. and I never saw you shoot the President.. if you are offended to see the way I shoot... I'm sorry....it's just my reflex style>"

"no problem..just I was surprised.you remind me of myself when I was young... you really have a part of my style..."

Does the President know himself? Is Aleesha's plan known to the President?' No... Did my mission fail?"
