You & Dusk

You & Dusk
Sabri Uztads

(Flashback Part)

One afternoon, it seemed like it had been a long time since I went to the beach where I usually enjoy dusk. There is no harm this afternoon I took myself to that place, besides I was not busy.

Until there I see the afternoon sky is still blue, indeed if you see the time it looks like twilight is still too early to appear. I also relax while enjoying the sea breeze, seeing the crowd with various activities.

From far away I saw many people in Muslim clothing holding posters, curious as I approached. After seeing it looks like they are young men who raise funds for victims of terrorism as well as anti-terrorism campaigns.

Again.. Terror acts are taking place in this country, this time a church is targeted by those who say jihad without common sense. The church in one of the cities was badly damaged, 2 people were pronounced dead and dozens were injured.

Until this news is released, the perpetrators are still at large and are still in pursuit by the police's anti-terror census 88 team.

I saw these young men doing experiments, on the poster they held saying "hug me, if you believe Muslims are not *******" it seems like the writing is in reference to non-Muslims. And after I noticed enough of the people who saw this stunt then hugged the guy who was holding the script.

Indonesia is indeed a big country, standing not only one but there are many tribes and cultures. As for the belief, Indonesia recognizes there are at least 6 beliefs that are recognized. Islam is of course, Catholic, Protestant, Hindu, Buddhist and Confucian.

One of my Lecturers once said that diversity in this country is like a time bomb, which can explode at any time. At first I didn't really understand but after seeing this act of terror several times. Makes me think that there are people who try to complain about the people of this country. In order to suspect each other, distrust each other and even hate each other until finally fighting between religions, tribes and cultures.

And that irresponsible person tarnishes the name of Islam, all the sacred sentences they just want to say while doing a heinous thing. I just pray that they get the right reward for what they do, because I know Islam does not teach such things, although my knowledge of superficial religion is only as I know Islam is a peaceful religion.

When I wanted to turn around left the crowd of people my shoulders held. "assalamualaikum Man." Said the man from behind.

"waalaikumsalam." I said turning around.

When I look back it turns out it was one of my class mates on campus.

"Sabri's.." I said while shaking his hand.

"it's been a long time here." The reply.

"so anyway, what are you doing here yourself?"

"it just so happens that I am one of the activists in this activity and it also happens that this is actually a movement carried out by friends of the LKD (the campus da'wah institution) to respond to terrorism that occurred yesterday." Sabri explained.

As with the results of my discussion with him today, he mentions many verses of the Qur'an and the authentic Hadith regarding the true Islamic view of the action****** this. He taught me many things, honestly I'm a little embarrassed because at the same age he knows much more about religion than I do.

Sabri said that this act of terrorism is tantamount to killing and killing for no reason that religion is a grave sin. In fact, he also said that there are two infidels in the view of Islam, namely Harbi kafirs and dhimma kafirs.

That a Muslim is obliged to protect and respect the rights of non-Muslims if bound by agreement with the government then this is Kafir dzimmah, he said, for example, of course, the people of Indonesia who are non-Muslims and other examples of non-Muslims who come to visit Indonesia on vacation with legal channels according to immigration law. So they are the same as kafir dhimmah who has a treaty with the government and should not be disturbed when they are in Indonesia.

Therefore if we disturb anything else to kill them it is tantamount to killing without a religious reason, meaning that the killer will get a big sin, he said, not a reward as they believe the *******.

Unlike the Harbi infidels, they are non-Muslims who clearly challenge fighting and oppress the Muslims, for example, which is happening in Palestine.

Hearing Sabri's explanation I came to understand and hate ******* which was blinded by their false ambitions, if they really want jihad they should go and defend Palestine from Israeli occupation instead of being a bully in a safe country like Indonesia.

Sabri added that Islam is a tolerant religion, as evidenced in the days of the Prophet Shallallahu alaihi wasallam, where the companions of that time had different religious neighbors with them. But they never interfere with the worship of these people, even they also establish business cooperation to be mutually beneficial.

Sabripun continued that the root of the problem of terrorism is the spread of khawarij understanding. Khawarij is a false understanding, very contrary to Islamic values. The Khawarij will clearly say that the Indonesian government is a tyrannical government and must be fought. Even if there are Muslims who disagree with them then they will kill the Muslims. That is the root of understanding ****** and usually consumed by that understanding are those who do not want to follow the Qur'an and hadith of the Prophet Shallallahu alaihi wasallam.

Hearing Sabri's explanation, I finally understood a little that those who spread terror are only fools who are blind and can not see the truth because of eve.

Unknowingly I also told the incident that befell my father to Sabri, yes.. My father was killed due to an attack *******. Of course it was long enough for the discussion of the two of us to be unconscious of twilight with the color of his fingers dazzling my eyes.

I say goodbye to Sabri maybe I will invite you to continue the discussion on another day and for a beautiful moment like this I should go to a place that can see the sun clearly.

Because the sun this time looked bigger than usual, I decided to go to the wooden dock that stretched on the beach.

While walking I occasionally looked at the sky.. And the twilight sky does have a way to always amaze me, like her smile.. Who else if not Alfy.

When I got to the wooden dock, I saw Ica. He looked smiling and from behind Irwan was hugging him. Jaa.. They both hugged under the twilight.
