And that very second Maudy was crying. He hugged the phone. His hands were still trembling at the blood that was still pouring out.

“Stupid ... I'm really stupid!” said the woman.

He closed his eyes for a moment and smiled faintly.

The clock is still showing at five in the morning, but Maudy is ready with his office clothes on. He woke up early and went to the office before everyone woke up. He was too lazy to meet them.
