Sincerity (Guineness of Heart)

Sincerity (Guineness of Heart)
The Unexpected Meeting.

"Udahan yuk, you're tired. It's getting hotter too!" ami shouted at the other children with breath that was boring.

He felt tired, even though he just kept waiting for the ball to come, but his mouth did not stop screaming and laughing, so it was quite draining his energy and energy.

Ami decided to sit on the porch of the home, the weather had begun to blister until he was sat followed by other children on the floor without using any pedestal, to be cooler.

"This drink, to quench thirst, the weather today was very hot" said Neti, who was followed by a maid there. With a tray filled with cold drinks they brought.

"This, Son. Drink first" said Neti gave a glass of drink to Ami.

"Thank you, Mom." Ami received the glass and began to straighten the drink, until the remaining half.

"Mom, if I may know, how long Nino's been here, is she here from a baby?" ami asked Neti who was sitting next to her.

"Yes, Nino was put here since she was a baby, Nino's mother was a mentally retarded woman, the person who brought Nino here was Nino's biological mother's neighbor, Nino's mother, they said his mother had to be taken to a mental hospital, so leave Nino here" Neti said.

"Hasn't any of his family been trying to find him?" ask Ami again.

"No, the neighbors used to say, if Nino's parents were immigrants to that place, as long as they lived in that place, there were never relatives of Nino's two parents who visited."

"Where is he going?"

Neti shook her head and said again, "Nino's biological father never came home again, since his mother was pregnant with the child, maybe because of that, Nino's mother became mentally retarded, even a few hours after Nino was born, the child almost died at the hands of his mother, lucky that there was a neighbor who intended to see and see him until Nino could be saved."

"So that's why, why was Nino dropped here?" ami asked to look at Nino who was eating a snack with her friends with pity.

"Yes, the neighbors were worried that his mother would do something dangerous again for the boy, so they put him here and took his mother to a mental institution."

"Did all the kids here have such heartbreaking stories?" ami asked sadly imagining, if the children who are now joking and smiling without burden, have a heartbreaking life story before.

"Yes, every child comes here with their own story, but I feel grateful that now they have begun to rise again and try to let go of the shadows of the past, living normally, she said, for example Via," said Neti smiling looking at his foster children numbering 20 more.

"Via's the biggest kid here?" ask Ami.

"Now yes, but there used to be two people bigger than Via, but they're gone."

"Where?"

"They're dead, the mother couldn't give them proper treatment, until they left because of her illness, if they still existed maybe now 18 and 19 years old," neti Light with a sad face.

"What about the story of Via?" ask Ami who is curious about the story of the girl.

"Via came here when she was seven years old, she often got violence also from her stepfather, she said if her mother had died a year before she decided to run away from her house, when it came here the girl was completely in a state of chaos. He also said that if he almost harassed his stepfather, until finally he managed to escape," explained Neti.

"Did he have problems with his hearing from birth?"

"Until now he didn't dare to go too far from the parlour, it seemed like the trauma of getting that ill treatment, had affected him, to date, even though he looked fine already," connect Neti again.

Ami who listened to every word that came out of Neti's mouth, about how the children's story, his heart ached, heard that, heard that, how could such a fragile and vulnerable child get such treatment.

What's more, the person who committed the bad act, causing the trauma to the children, was the person closest to them, the person who should have been a protector to them.

While Ami and Neti were busy with their conversation, Nino, who was sitting with her friends, stood up, looking happily at the gate.

Shortly after he left his original place, walking at a fast pace, seeing that, Ami frowned in wonder at what had happened to the boy.

"Why Nino?" ami asked while looking in the direction the child was heading.

Ami's eyes stared in disbelief at the person who was crouching in front of the gate, facing each other with Nino who was behind him.

How could that man be here, the man he met a few days ago at his engagement party. And Nino smiled broadly at him, welcoming him enthusiastically like two people who had been close before.

"That's the guy who always comes here too, he's a guy who's very close to Nino, maybe because Nino and him have similar flaws, until they're fast close," neti's light on Ami who was now staring at Fariz without blinking.

"Oh, what's her name, ma'am?" asked Ami who had now turned her face to Neti.

"The name is Aris" answered Neti.

"Oh." Ami nodded in understanding.

"Mom wants to nyamperin him first yes," said Neti to Ami.

"Yes, Mom."

Neti started to get up from her seat, then she walked towards Fariz and Nino who were still interacting in front of the gate, Fariz immediately stood up as Neti approached her, she then smiled at the elderly woman.

Ami continued to pay attention from afar, how the man's facial expression, now the cold stiff face that he saw some time ago, was not noticeable anymore. There is only a friendly face.

Shortly after, the three people of different generations, began to step towards the terrace closer to him, Ami immediately realized himself from his daydream trying to behave normally.

"Oh yes, this Aris boy is Nak Ami" said Neti who introduced himself and Fariz, when they had faced each other.

"Ami" said Ami, extending her hand.

Just like before at the engagement event, Fariz did not accept his helping hand, he only nodded faintly, with a facial expression that had changed not as friendly as before.

Ami pulled back her hand, she put on a stiff smile, between embarrassment and annoyance because twice the man in front of her ignored her hand.
