"Come with me" said Fariz suddenly came to Ami who was sitting on the sofa, in front of the television.
"Where, Mas?" tanya Ami looked her head to the side.
"You must be bored every day in the room, you have to breathe the air outside at all times" said Fariz.
"But Ami is not bored, Mom."
"Already, come on." Fariz pulled out Ami's hand which was still flinching in place.
Ami finally stood up and followed where Fariz would take him. They got out of Fariz's apartment unit and went straight into the elevator to get to the ground floor.
Ami suddenly felt unsettled, afraid in her heart, she remembered the incident some time ago, when her brother left her on the street.
"Mas, where are we going?" ask Ami by squeezing the end of her clothes until it looks tangled.
Fariz looked beside him, looking at Ami in wonder, he could see that when Ami was afraid of something.
"Why are you like a frightened person, take it easy I will not throw you in the middle of the road later" Fariz said casually.
Ami raised her head and frowned, how could the man know what he was feeling, what was so obvious if he was being scared at the moment.
"Whoever looks at you will think the same of me, because right now you are putting on an expression like, a kidnapped person" Fariz said.
"Ami's just a little nervous, Mas. It's the first time, I'm going outside again, after a while ago," Ami said, trying to smile.
"So from that, I take you outside, I don't want you to feel stressed because inside the room continues, later if you're stressed what to say to your family, when you go home."
Hearing Fariz's words, somehow Ami felt a little dislike, but she realized sooner or later she had to go home, because her papa must be very worried about her.
"Come on." Fariz clasped his hand again and exited the elevator that had reached the ground floor of his apartment building.
"We walk, we won't use a car, we'll just walk around here" Fariz told Ami, who remained silent.
"Yes, Mas" said Ami with a nodding head.
"Mas, can Ami ask?"
"What?"
"What, Mas Fariz has a girlfriend now?" ask Ami slowly.
"Why are you asking me that?" fariz asked with a straight look at the road in front of him.
"I'm just curious" said Ami smiling faintly.
"I've never been close to a woman and currently have no boyfriend" Fariz replied.
"Why, have you never been close to a woman?"
"Do I have to tell you about my personal problems?" Fariz's question, as if affirming, if between them there is no close relationship, so he must tell his personal problems.
"I'm sorry that I've been presumptuous" said Ami regretfully, should not he be too deep into the life of the man next to him.
"If you are alone? Do you have a boyfriend at the moment?" Fariz asked Ami the same thing.
"I don't have it either" said Ami shook his head.
Fariz nodded, after that there was no more conversation between them, they continued to step on with fingers that had been out of touch since when. Providing each other with warmth, in the night air that is getting colder and colder.
Up ahead, Fariz saw there was a cafe that was quite crowded by visitors. Finally he decided to stop by the cafe, just to have a coffee.
"Let's take a break" Fariz said, leading Ami closer to the cafe.
He led Ami to a chair outside the cafe that was empty, while Ami just obeyed and sat in the chair that Fariz had prepared for him, the atmosphere there was crowded in his hearing.
"What do you want to drink?" ask Fariz to Ami.
"Is this a cafe?" ask Ami.
"Mau macha latte aja," said Ami.
"Wait here, don't get out of your seat" Fariz ordered.
"Yes" said Ami.
Fariz began to step up, heading to the bartender, to order his drink, it turned out that there was quite a lot of visitors who were also waiting for their turn.
It was Sunday night, so many young people were gathering with their friends, some were coming with their girlfriends.
Ami waited quietly, until there was a sound of movement in front of him, the sound of a chair in front of him being pulled.
"Mas" called Ami out of fear of the other people sitting there.
Fariz answered him with a deheman, he opened his cell phone which read and when he saw that there was a message from Alisha asking him to meet the woman he would know him.
After giving a reply to her mother, she then put her phone back in her jeans pocket.
"Do you not want to go home, your family must be worried about you right now" Fariz said.
"What, Mas Fariz wants me to get out of the house, Mas?" ami asked with a sad expression.
Looking at that sad expression, Fariz was extremely dislikeful, he finally let out a long sigh.
"It's not like that, I know you must miss your family, your mom, your dad, or your sister—" too"
"My mother, it's gone" Ami cut off at Fariz's speech.
Fariz looked more and more into Ami's face, so that's why all she heard was the word papa from Ami's mouth when she was alone, because she already had no mother.
"I'm sorry, I don't know" said Fariz regretfully, knowing that she had reminded Ami of her late mother.
"It's okay, my mother died the day after giving birth to me" Ami smiled faintly.
"I didn't intentionally leave the house, but my brother didn't like me at home, so that night he deliberately left me in the middle of the road."
After saying that Ami again silenced, he could not continue his words, because his heart felt tight when remembering the events of that night. Fariz had not been able to open his voice because the drink he ordered had come.
"I will go home, when my brother's anger has begun to subside," continued Ami again.
Fariz just cleared her throat and nodded, for some reason she was unable to let out her voice when Ami told her such a story.
She felt the sadness that Ami felt, maybe because she heard, if Ami had no mother.
Until he felt pity, because his biological mother was gone, but his fate was more fortunate because there was his adoptive family by his side.
They were both silent, only to hear the sound of them sipping their drinks there.
A little while later, they had already finished their drinks, Fariz went to pay for their drinks first.
"Let's go home, it's too late" said Fariz, who had returned to the table.
"Yes" said Ami who immediately woke up from his chair.
As before, Fariz took Ami's hand again, the one who saw would probably assume, if they were a couple because during the journey they did not let go of each other.
"Are you cold?" asked Fariz trying to melt the atmosphere that still felt awkward.
"Just a little bit" said Ami trying to smile back.
"Please, we'll be here soon."
"Yes." Yeah." Ami nodded her head.
Not taking too long, they have now reached the apartment, Ami immediately say goodbye to Fariz to rest and Fariz said yes.
After making sure Ami entered her room, she climbed the stairs, headed to her room and took a break.
