Stains In Love

Stains In Love
Rejecting Garry

“But, why, Stella?”

Garry's question made Stella sigh long.

“Is my speech still unclear? I don't love you anymore,” Stella said. He stared straight at Garry's bead of eyes to let the man know if he wasn't messing with his words. “I can't marry someone I don't love.”

“Stella, we can start everything from zero. I've changed, I'm sure we can repeat everything from the beginning,” said Garry, still reluctant to let Stella go.

Stella shakes.

“I don't think there's anything we need to talk about anymore. Goodbye, Gar,” said Stella then entered her boarding house and closed the gate.

Garry's not after Stella. The man just kept quiet as he watched Stella get into her costs. Heart melos. Pain and disappointment mix into one. But, in her position like this, she could not blame Stella. She also can't possibly force Stella to love him if Stella doesn't want to.

On the other hand, Stella was only able to breathe a sigh of relief after she entered into her boarding room. He shut the door tightly, then threw his body on the bed.

He could not close his eyes because his heart was not calm. Stella took her laptop and contacted her parents via Skype.

“Hello, Stella. How are you doing, son?” ask Anton. The man walked into the kitchen and showed Dini cutting food. “Ma, Stella called.”

Stella returned the greeting of her parents. They chatted lightly for a moment to talk to each other about the news. Until finally, Stella could not resist revealing what was bothering her mind.

“Ma, Pa, there's something I want to talk about,” Stella said.

Anton and Dini seemed to frown. Dini even turned off the stove because she felt that there was something important that her daughter wanted to say and she did not want her cooking to burn because of it.

“What's up, Stella?” ask Dini with a face full of question marks.

“Tadi, when I came home from Garry's office to see me,” Stella said.

“Not Garry moved?” parrot Dini confused.

“Indeed. Garry has moved. Today she came back and met me straight away,” explained Stella.

“What did he tell you, son?” ask Anton. Although as a father he did not comment much, he was still a protective father to his daughter. He doesn't want Garry back to hurt Stella.

“She says if now she has been successful, it has changed better, and she says if she wants to marry me.”

A shocked look clearly appeared on Stella's parents' faces. Dini even seemed to cover her mouth with her palm so surprised.

“I refused it, of course. I don't love Garry anymore,” Stella continued.

“We think it was the best decision for your future, Stella,” reply Early which was rewarded a nod of approval from Anton.

“Ma, Pa, what if I love Davin? Do you think Papa and Mama are ready to open my heart again?” ask Stella.

Anton and Dini smiled.

“Stella, who knows whether you are ready or not is yourself,” Anton explained. “Try to close your eyes and ask yourself if you are ready to fall in love again or not.”

Stella did as her father told her to. A sweet smile was etched on her lips a few seconds after. He opened his eyes and said, “It looks like I'm in love with Davin, Ma, Pa.”

Dini chuckles. “We're happy if the man who managed to knock on your heart door again is Davin. We will give our blessing to your relationship,” he said.

Meanwhile, that very night, Garry, disappointed by Stella's answer, immediately booked a plane ticket to the city where she had been living and building her career. The man didn't tell his parents much about what happened to him and Stella. He just said he was leaving because Stella no longer wanted him.

At the same time, Davin was also walking quickly into the airport. Disappointment breaks in her heart because she thinks Stella will marry Garry.

For this reason Davin chose to calm down without hearing Stella's explanation first.
