After successfully digesting what was currently happening, Stella slowly pushed Garry's body to release the hug. Garry was a man who had already broken his feelings, a man who had hurt him until his life turned one hundred and eighty degrees. Stella doesn't want Garry to come back into her life as if what happened in the past never existed.
“Sorry, Gar. You can't hug me after what happened between us,” Stella said. He walked backwards, keeping his distance from Garry.
Garry took a deep breath. He comes back to Stella, then grabs Stella's hand so that Stella can't get away from him anymore.
“I know what I did one year ago was the wrong thing, I'm sorry,” Garry said as he squeezed Stella's hand in his grasp.
Stella turned her gaze away from Garry. Garry's eye gaze, Garry's touch, and the man's voice were probably the things Stella liked the most. But, that was before. Long before Stella knew that Garry was betraying her.
Now, Garry's eyes no longer provide coolness in Stella's heart. Garry's touch no longer carried a happy sting in Stella's heart. And the voice of Garry .. is no longer a beautiful melody that runs through Stella's ears. Now, there was only disappointment and anger that rose in Stella's head every time she saw Garry and remembered what the man had done to her.
“Why are you back again, Gar?”
The question just popped out of Stella's lips. The woman felt that Garry must have had a reason for her return. Stella should know about it. He won't be able to calm down if Garry's return does have something to do with the brief message Garry sent him one year ago before Garry's departure.
“You remember the short message I sent you one year ago?” ask Garry.
Stella closed her eyes for a moment. The thing he was most worried about was actually happening. Stella's chest feels tight. For God's sake, he didn't want this to happen.
“No,” replied Stella, lying.
“I said if I would come back after I became a better person and deserve you,” Garry said. A big smile was on his lips. The feeling of the flower rules his heart. After a year, he was finally able to return to Stella to express his intentions.
“Gar, I—”
Stella just kept quiet, letting Garry say what he wanted to say. Stella felt uncomfortable being near Garry.
“I want to start a new life in a new city together with you.”
Stella gasps. He looked at Garry with a confused look. His breathing was choked, as if the air had disappeared from the surroundings when he heard the sentence spoken by Garry just now.
“I want to marry you, Stella. And I also promise if I will not repeat my mistakes again,” Garry said with confidence.
From inside the car, Davin heard a sentence spoken by Garry. Davin clenched his hands tightly, squeezing the steering wheel of his car tightly.
She's still watching Stella and Garry. Looking at Stella who was just silent, Davin felt that Stella might want to accept Garry but hesitated to know that she was still there.
With a wry smile Davin turned on his car engine, then passed away without looking back for a second. With a wounded heart, Davin leaves because he thinks Stella still loves Garry.
Meanwhile, right after Davin left, Stella released her hand from Garry's grasp. Stella took a few steps back while shaking her head.
“Sorry, Gar. I can't marry you.”
“Why? Is it because of what I did to you that you're afraid to marry me? Stella, I promise I won't repeat my mistake again.”
Stella shakes. “I no longer have any feelings for you,” Stella replied firmly. The woman smiled. “I'm so glad you're successful now. But, sorry, I don't want to marry you.”
