Stella looked at the photo of herself and Garry on her phone. A feeling of tightness slowly entered the recesses of his heart, making it seem as if it was difficult to get oxygen. The photo always reminds Stella of the happy days she spent with Garry. The days where the wounds had not been imprinted on his heart.
Now, Stella can't see Garry the same way anymore. No more Garry who always makes him happy just by looking at the man's face. All that was left now was a wound that always appeared every time he met Garry. The pain that Garry inflicted was so deep that Stella did not know if her heartache could heal in such a short time.
[Stella, I'd like to take you out to watch this weekend. Would you like to?]
A short message from Garry appeared on his phone notification, making Stella's daydreams fall apart. Without the slightest intention of replying to the short message, Stella chose to put her phone on her bedside nightstand, then stepped towards the wardrobe to pick up a change of clothes.
Stella just got back from the interview. After just telling his parents, actually Stella intends to prepare for his first day of work. However, his focus was a little distracted when he accidentally opened social media and saw his old posts.
As soon as he finished changing his clothes, his phone rang again. Stella thought that the one who contacted her was Garry so she lazily picked up her phone. Even though he was upset and hurt with Garry, still he had to be nice to carry out his plan, right?
But, apparently the one who called was not Garry. Except Ane. Soon Stella raised the call.
“Halo, Brother Ane?” greet Stella.
“Hello, Stella. How are you?” reply Ane. There was actually something that Ane had wanted to ask over the past few days. However, unfortunately he has not found the right time because some days Damar is on leave. He was afraid that anyone would hear their conversation.
“I'm fine, Brother. I am actually currently feeling happy because I passed the interview to work,” replied Stella while chuckling.
“Really? Where did you apply for a job? Is it in Garry company?”
“No, Brother.” Stella put her ass on her soft bed. “I apply at another company. This company is quite famous for its rapid development. Actually I was also doubtful, but it turns out I was accepted,” explained Stella.
“Congratulations then, Stella. I'm happy to hear it,” Ane replied sincerely.
Stella thanked Ane.
There was a silence surrounding the two after that. Ane was still at a loss as to whether she should bring up her question. While Stella was also confused because Ane just stayed across there.
“Kak, is there something you want Ane to talk about?” stella asked as if she understood Ane's way of thinking.
Stella frowned. “Then, just ask, Kak.”
“I feel surprised by Garry.”
“How come, Brother?”
“He didn't look agitated at all after he said he wanted to propose to you. In fact, a few days before he had never looked calm at all. He was always just cranky unclear,” explained Ane.
Stella grunts. The woman could clearly guess what reason Garry's attitude had changed. The man must have thought that now Stella was back in his grasp so that he did not need to feel anxious anymore. In fact, according to Stella, Garry should be much more vigilant because Stella is unlikely to give a second chance instantly.
“Maybe because she thinks I want to marry her,” Stella replied as she put her shoulders down.
“Garry has rarely met with Feby,” said Ane, giving a report to Stella. “It also seems they never met again other than at work. It is also very rare because they work in different divisions.”
“Is Brother Ane sure they never see each other again? Could have met without anyone knowing as usual,” reply Stella apathy.
“No, Stella. This time I'm sure if Garry and Feby have rarely met,” Ane replied.
Stella smiles. Honestly, he hoped that he would be happy when he heard this. But, his heart just felt cold and stiff. He no longer cared what Garry and Feby did.
“Good then. That means my plan is going well. Now, Garry would much rather spend time with me than Feby,” great-grandson of Stella.
Ane paused for a moment, then again said, “Are you going to continue with your plan?”
“I've come this far, Brother.”
“But I see he seems to love you sincerely,” said Ane.
“No one can ever guess what will happen in the future.” Stella smiled wryly, then stared blankly at her reflection in the mirror. “But, whatever it is, I will definitely avenge the pain they gave me. They should know what it feels like to be let down by the most trusted person.”
