Stains In Love

Stains In Love
Guilt

Tomorrow.

The same thing with Damar who worried about his sister, Ane also clearly worried about his sister–Stella. For that Ane came to see Stella because they had not met after the incident last time.

“Kak Ane? Please come in, sister,” said Stella, letting Ane in.

The woman was shocked to find Ane standing at the door of her apartment when she had just returned home from work. As she remembered, Ane did not say that she would stop by Stella's apartment. It was fortunate that today Stella came home early so Ane did not have to wait for her for too long. 'Is this related to Garry no longer coming to look for me?' his inner.

“Has Brother Ane been waiting for me for a long time?” stella asked as soon as she and Ane walked into her apartment.

“No.” Ane shook her head. “It just so happened that I was walking in the mall and remember that you live in this apartment right now. So, all of you stopped by,” the reply reasoned.

“Supposed to have Brother Ane tell me so that I can give my apartment password and Brother Ane does not have to wait outside,” Stella said while giggling.

Ane laughed. “Ah, you are this. I don't mind waiting,” said Ane.

Ane and Stella sat next to each other on the sofa.

"I miss you, Stella." Ane hugged Stella, expressing her longing and worry for her sister.

"I also miss my sister and Bella, sorry I rarely see you guys" Stella replied.

Stella looked at Ane with a confused look. He bit his lower lip. There was something she wanted to ask Ane but she was hesitant.

“How was your holiday? Are you calmer now?” ask Ane.

Stella tapped her shoulders.

“That's. After the holidays my mind became more open. Now, I realize that my happiness is more important than anything,” Stella replied with a gentle smile.

“Good then. I'm so glad to hear it.”

“How's Garry doing, Brother? A few days ago he asked me to go back to him but I refused. After that, I never saw him again,” asked Stella in the end. He could not help his curiosity, not that he wanted Garry to keep chasing him.

“Garry was fired from his job, Feby too,” Ane replied.

“Dipecat, Brother?” ask Stella. His eyes were perfectly rounded, surprised by Ane's reply.

“Iya, I heard it myself from Damar.”

Slowly, guilt infiltrated Stella's heart. He recalled the comments on social media about the incident. His chest suddenly felt tight, realizing that what happened to Garry and Feby at this time might indeed be his fault, because of his actions.

“This is all my fault, brother. If I don't do my plans for revenge, maybe things won't end like this,” Stella said with a sad face.

“Stella, don't blame yourself. What happened wasn't your fault. This is not all your fault at all. Their rottenness was smelled by many, it was only natural that people hated them. Never blame yourself for what happened to them because everything that happened to them was the result of their own mistakes,” said Ane, trying to convince Stella if this was not Stella's fault.

“But, if I wasn't obsessed with revenge, maybe things would be different. I should have just hit them without humiliating them. My God, I really feel guilty,” Stella's babble is full of regrets.

“Stella, stop blaming yourself. Remember what they did to you. What happened to them is not worth your pain.”

“Tapi—”

“Already, don't think about it. It's not all your fault, it's their own. Feby was fired for never leaving for work. While Garry was fired for always being late and making mistakes in the office,” explained Ane.

Stella let out a tired sigh, though it was difficult to shake off her guilt, but Stella tried to calm down and nodded.

Davin watched Stella sitting pensively behind her desk. Davin realized that some days Stella seemed to dream often. The woman did not even talk too much and listened more during the meeting, making Davin curious about what was disturbing the woman's mind.

Davin approached Stella, then sat down across from Stella.

“Stella, you seem to be daydreaming a lot lately,” Davin said.

Stella flinched from her daydream, then turned her head. “No, Sir. I'm not daydreaming,” he said.

“If something disturbs your mind, you can tell me. You forget what I said? I'll always be there if you need a friend.”

“Sorry, Sir. It's not polite to talk during business hours. And once again I have reminded you not to discuss what ever happened during the holidays,” reply Stella, trying to divert the conversation.

Davin raised next to his eyebrows.

“Hey, this is out of work. The work hours were over thirty minutes ago. You are busy daydreaming until you are unconscious, apparently,” Davin said.

“Really?” stella asked, surprised. “I mean, I know. I just wanted to be here first.” He corrected his own words for being caught lying.

“Stella, don't worry. I can be a good listener,” urged Davin.

Stella breathed a tired sigh. It seems to distract Davin is very difficult. He had no choice but to be honest now.

“Garry and Feby fired from their jobs. I feel so guilty,” Stella said, bowing her head. “If I hadn't humiliated them, they would still be able to make a career right now. I ruined their lives.”

“Stella, don't blame yourself,” reply Davin. Davin touched both of Stella's shoulders, directing Stella to look at him.

"You're completely innocent."

“I hope it can be that easy. But, it feels very difficult. I still feel all that because of me.”

Davin grabbed Stella's hand, then clasped it tightly.

“What happened to Garry and Feby is a consequence of what they did to you. You are innocent. This is indeed karma from God for them.”

“Tapi—”

“Tenace. There's nothing you need to worry about. Whatever happens to them now is not your fault, but the consequences of their own actions,” Davin said, reassuring Stella.

Stella nodded.

"Remember, not once did you mean anything to them. You just taught them a lesson in what they did. You are completely innocent. So, stop blaming yourself, okay. Everyone knows you're innocent. Stop being too good, so that people don't take advantage of it from you. Now just calm down, okay."

Stella nodded back.

Again and again, he felt that Davin had always managed to cheer him up.

"Thank you" he said slowly.

"Forget over. Come on, I'll make you eat. There's a new place that I really want to go to but haven't had the time to try!" Without rejection, Davin invites Stella away.
