Away From Stella

“Then you have a meeting with foreign investors, Sir,” Stella said, explaining the Davin meeting schedule today.

“OK. You don't need to be in a meeting,” Davin replied briefly.

Stella opened her lips, about to ask Davin the reason. However, he eventually undoes his intentions and simply nods.

A week has passed since the day Davin expressed his feelings for Stella. Because Stella refused, Davin seemed to keep his distance from Stella. The man is even now acting indifferent and more choose to do his job without Stella.

This certainly makes Stella feel disappointed and regret Davin's attitude. But, what can he do? Stella even asked Davin to stop liking her.

Without Stella knowing, Davin actually stayed away from Stella not because she hated Stella. Instead, she moves away from Stella because she can't help but feel for Stella. She was afraid that her heart would not stop liking her like Stella wanted.

“Oh, before you go out, can you get some documents in the archive room?” davin asked without taking his eyes off the computer screen in the slightest.

Stella forced a smile. “Good, sir,” he replied and then walked out of Davin's study.

A beautiful, slender-bodied woman stepped into the company lobby. His eyes swept around him. A smile rose perfectly on his lips.

“Good day, is there anything we can help?” ask a receptionist.

“I want to meet Davin. Where's the room?” ask the woman with a sigh.

“Sorry, have you had an appointment with Mr Davin before?” ask the receptionist again.

“No. But I know Davin very well. Do I need to make an appointment to meet people I know?”

“Sorry, Mr. Davin's schedule is very tight. We cannot allow guests to enter without an appointment,” responded politely to the receptionist, forbidding the woman from seeing Davin.

“Sorry, what is this?” stella asked, interrupting the debate that was going on in the lobby.

“This woman forced to meet with Mr. Davin even though I have explained that guests without appointments are not allowed to meet with Mr. Davin, Ma'am,” explained the receptionist.

Stella looked at the woman from head to toe. Seeing how the woman was forced to meet with Davin made Stella think that maybe the woman had an important affair with Davin.

“It looks like Mr. Davin's meeting with investors is over,” Stella said as she looked at the circular watch on her wrist. “Mari, I'll take you to the workspace Mr. Davin.”

Stella takes the woman to Davin's office because it seems so precarious. However, Stella's positive thoughts did not work out well for herself. Stella was made to regret her actions once she found out who the woman was.

“Have you worked here long?” the woman asked as soon as they entered the elevator.

“Yes. I've been working as Mr. Davin's secretary for a year,” Stella replied. “If you may know, what is your name and what business do you want to meet Mr Davin?”

“I'm Cassandra, Davin's ex-lover,” replied to the woman.

Stella was silent as soon as she heard that name. Cassandra is the name of Davin's first love. Suddenly an uncomfortable feeling slipped into his heart.

With mixed feelings, Stella takes Cassandra to meet Davin in her study. As soon as she saw Davin, Cassandra immediately ran and scattered into Davin's arms. Stella rounded her eyes when she saw that but she chose not to show her dislike.

“Davin, sorry I left you and chose to marry that man,” Cassandra said.

Davin cleared his throat, feeling uneasy because Stella saw him being hugged by Cassandra.

“Stella, can you get out of my room? I want to talk to Cassandra,” Davin said.

“Good, Sir,” Stella said while trying hard to hide her jealousy.
