Cannot Patiently Marry

Garry grabs Stella's hand, then taps the woman's back. He played Stella's ring finger, stroking her with a big smile. He imagined that soon a ring would circle on Stella's ring finger. I can't wait for that day to come.

Seeing what Garry was doing, Stella frowned. The woman shook her head, looking in wonder at the man before her.

“What are you doing?” ask Stella.

Garry raised his head. Her gaze shifted from Stella's ring finger to Stella's iris.

“I can't wait to propose to you officially and pin our wedding ring on your ring finger,” Garry replied with a hopeful smile.

Stella chuckles little. Inwardly, he was fed up of hearing the sweet words spoken by Garry from yesterday. But, no. He must not show it because he has a mission to avenge Garry.

“I'm also impatient, Gar. You know, ‘kan, if I love you so much?” ask Stella. His throat was blocked when he said the word love. But, he had to say it.

“I know, Stella.” Garry again kissed the back of Stella's hand. “I love you very much too.”

Stella smiled faintly. ‘What's the point of saying love if you can't prove your loyalty, Gar?’ stella asked in her heart. His heart still screams hurt whenever he remembers about the betrayal committed by Garry and Feby.

“Oh, yes. I heard Feby got accepted to work at your company?” stella asked.

“Ya,” Garry replied briefly.

The man felt uncomfortable every time he talked about Feby with Stella. For some reason, after what she and Feby did behind Stella, she felt awkward. Either out of guilt or because he remembered the things he did with Feby.

Stella looked straight at Garry. He wanted to see how Garry would look when he talked about Feby. And sure enough, the man looked uncomfortable and even averted his gaze. He stared blankly to the side, avoiding Stella's eyes.

Stella cleared her throat, making Garry look back at her.

“Gar, I'm full,” Stella said.

Garry nodded.

“Ya, already. Come on, we go home.”

Garry raised his hand, making a servant approach. After paying for their order, he took Stella's hand out of the restaurant.

Along the way home, Garry and Stella had a light chat. Despite not fully enjoying her conversation with Garry, Stella remained kind and sweet. He tries to appreciate Garry as much as possible before his plan to dismantle Garry's rot was carried out.

Garry's car finally stopped in front of Stella's car. Stella didn't get out of the car. The woman turned her head towards Garry while biting her deep lips.

“Why do you see me like that, Stella?” ask Garry.

Garry frowned. “What's up, Honey?”

“Actually, a few days ago I applied to work at a company. It just so happens that there is a vacancy to work as a director secretary,” explained Stella.

Garry was surprised to hear that. Because, before Stella graduated from college, Stella once said her intention to work in the same company with her. Garry wonders if Stella's decision has anything to do with Feby? But, she doubts her own suspicions because according to her, Stella does not know about her affair with Feby.

“Really? I thought you wanted to apply for a job in my office,” Garry replied confusedly.

“Initially that was my plan.” Stella tapped her shoulders. “But, after seeing this vacancy I changed my mind. After all, in your company the vacancies available are not in such high positions, right?”

Garry nodded his head, understanding the reason Stella chose another job over the company she worked for.

“Then, how did it go? Are you accepted?” ask Garry.

Stella's smile expands. The woman nodded her head enthusiastically.

“Iya! Today even I have started working,” Stella replied with a happy smile.

Garry's smile expands. The man was also happy with the work that Stella got. He pulls Stella into his arms.

While rubbing Stella's back, she said, “I'm happy to hear her, Stella.”

Stella escapes from Garry's arms.

“You're not mad I'm working somewhere else?” ask Stella.

“What am I angry for? Instead I feel happy because you get a good position,” replied Garry sincerely.

There were no negative thoughts in his head. He didn't even ask about Stella's boss because he thought, a director must be a married man and wouldn't tease Stella.

“Really?” ask Stella.

Garry nodded. “Again, this is a good thing. Most companies do not allow couples to work in the same company,” replied Garry.

Garry had absolutely no other thoughts besides that. But, in Stella's heart, the woman thought otherwise.

‘You must have said that because you don't want your forbidden relationship with Feby to be discovered by me, ‘kan, Gar?’ inner Stella.
