EP.9 Loss of Scholarship

"So you're just self-conscious after being reprimanded?" ningsih asked while Lyra just lowered her head and cried.

"Mom. stop it, it's me Lyra doesn't know anything" Fero said.

"Continue? you know the consequences, you're a late-stage student, what if you get suspended and you can't graduate next year?" ask Ningsih.

"I'm sorry Fero ma'am, let me be punished" said Lyra.

"Finally you admit what you did.. From now on you stay away from my son and wait for your punishment" Ningsih said.

"Good ma'am." said Lyra.

"You're suspended for 1 week." Ningsih told Fero.

"Good ma'am" said Fero, clenching furiously.

"Let's go have something I want to talk to Lyra about" Ningsih said.

"But mom.. hasn't she already accepted her punishment?" ask Fero.

"Say I have something to talk to her about, are you deaf?" ask Ningsih.

Fero finally relented and walked out of his room. And Lyra spoke 4 eyes with Ningsih. Half an hour later Lyra came out of Ningsih's room with a pale face and flowing tears. His hands were also still trembling from hearing the bad news.

Outside the door Fero was waiting for him.

"Lyra, how?" ask Fero.

"Let's talk in a quiet park" said Lyra.

"All right" said Fero.

They head to the park and see Lyra say something that makes Fero upset and disappointed. Especially if it is not a decision to separate for the sake of each other's future. Moreover, Ningsih was so dislike Lyra with her background. Then Lyra left after saying what to say to Fero.

"Lyra wait." said Fero.

"Everything's done, brother, don't look for me anymore" said Lyra.

"Lira..Lyraa..!" call Fero but Lyra keeps running.

Lyra who was in a mess of her mind also chose to go home to the foundation and rest. Jasmine who saw him was confused, but he gave Lyra time to calm down so she could talk.

Later that night Lyra meets Jasmine in her room. With her eyes puffed up, she ventured to talk and asked Jasmine for help.

"What's up, son? you cry." said Jasmine.

"Mother, forgive Lyra.. Lyra has made a mistake." said Lyra as she shed tears.

"Say Lyra, what's wrong? what's going on?" ask Jasmine.

Lyra finally told me what she had experienced on campus today. She unknowingly dates the son of the campus foundation owner and is reprimanded for yesterday's troubles. Lyra also said that her scholarship was revoked due to rumors that the campus was accepting students with Kleptomania.

"It is cruel to the owner of the foundation. It's not your fault, after all." said Jasmine.

"I know bun, but I lost my scholarship how I went to college" Lyra cried.

"Already son.. already, behind a bad incident there must be wisdom that we can take.." said Jasmine menenagkan Lyra and hugged him.

Jasmine feels so sad to hear Lyra's story, however Lyra is innocent and it is a personal matter and has nothing to do with her study. Not to mention all the slander that still leads to Lyra, making Jasmine furious and will find a solution to all her problems.

The next day, Jasmine calls her father for help in dealing with Lyra's problems. He believes that his father can help him with Lyra's problems.

Robert came and visited Jasmine to ask for an explanation of her request. Jasmine also explained the problems experienced by her foster children. Robert frowned and saw how Jasmine had asked for her help for Lyra who was not her.

"Jasmine, tumben once you asked for my help" said Robert.

"I have no choice but father as I know I've given up all my glamorous life" Jasmine said.

"Why did you take a bunch of it to your foster son Lyra.?" ask Robert.

"I'm willing to help her, but what can she give me?" ask Robert.

"What does father mean? he is a minor." said Jasmine.

"Get rid of your dirty thoughts. I just want to know what he can contribute to the company.?" ask Robert.

"Dad, let me contribute.. Lyra's been busy studying all this time." said Jasmine.

"I'll think about Jasmine. I'll come back later" Robert said.

Jasmine knelt down and begged her father to help her.

"Dad please help the boy. He deserves to live better" Jasmine said.

"Yes, my son, I'm going to find the best way" Robert said.

Behind Lyra's door she heard and witnessed how Jasmine knelt and begged her father. This makes Lyra consider herself a burden for Jasmine.

Then he slowly walked away from the door and went out, a sense of tightness filled his chest. This unfair life always makes it difficult, ranging from discarded parents, to having to experience the revocation of scholarships only because of rumors that others spread and their relationship with the children of university owners.

Robert walked out of Jasmine's room, unable to refuse Jasmine's request. But what would people say if they paid Lyra full tuition? How do other foster children respond? he also fears that Jasmine is considered unfair and loves Lyra too much.

Until he saw Lyra sitting on a park bench. Slowly he approached and greeted her.

"Lyra what are you doing here, son?" ask Robert.

"Just looking for fresh air" Lyra said.

"How do you get out of this?" ask Robert.

"I'm still thinking about it.. Maybe I'll take a part-time job" Lyra said.

"You are persistent." said Robert.

"But what if I make an offer" Robert said.

"What offer sir?" ask Lyra.

"I'm willing to pay for your college, but." said Robert speechless.

"But what sir?" ask Lyra.

"But I need a bride for my grandson, James. Unfortunately you're 18" said Robert.

"Sir, you want me to marry your granddaughter so?" ask Lyra.

"True, so that Jasmine can be relieved because you live well, I promise to give you a better life" said Robert.

"Sir, does Mr James want to marry me?" ask Lyra.

"The answer is definitely not" said Robert.

"Then it's clear, no, I'm not the right person. And with my tuition, I'll look for it as much as I can." said Lyra.

"I know, then excuse me sir" said Lyra.

Robert took a deep breath, as if he had become a terrible old geezer in Lyra's eyes. But James needs the right candidate. Robert thought about and considered his help for Lyra.

Until finally he wants to finance Lyra's college tuition. And he immediately told his people to pay Lyra's tuition fees to the university. The news was immediately Lyra heard from Jasmine.

"Lyra, you can go back to college.my father is willing to be your donor" said Jasmine.

"Really mother.. Thank you mother." said Lyra smiling when her heart was afraid. Scared that Robert asked her to marry James.
