After a short night of celebration passed, Livia no longer talked to Kelvan except about anything concerning Nea's development. For some reason it was like there was a distance between him and Kelvan, but before that they were not that close to feeling that way either.
Livia opened the door of the restaurant hesitantly. He is still not ready for the actual alumni meeting, but is eager to face reality. Last year, he left a bad impression at their meeting and subsequently he wanted to leave a good impression.
Livia sees only one empty seat for their alumni event. He doesn't want to be between two real men, but what can he do? Even though he had a bad feeling for it.
"Oh—ho! Look who's coming! Livia the errand girl!"
"Stop being sarcastic, we're no longer schoolboys."
"of course! We have to enjoy this alumni event well, our meetings do not happen often. Come on, Livia, sit next to me." The man who reminded him of his past title was named Eric.
Livia sat awkwardly, staring at anyone who came. In fact, he was not too afraid to attend the alumni meeting, because the friends who bullied him first some had already apologized. He just dislikes Eric, who always sparks a showdown every time he meets.
"Livia," Eric said. "do you still work as a private tutor?"
"Y—ya, right."
Livia doesn't feel like she should be afraid of Eric, she just appreciates their relationship. And again, Eric was older than him so he had to be respectful.
"It seems like your job is a lot of fun."
Livia laughed awkwardly. "I like the job now."
"But being a private tutor, isn't the fee too small? Meanwhile, you're very smart. Isn't there a big company willing to accept you as an employee?"
"That's ...."
Livia clenched her hands, eager to present a raw bogem to Eric's face. But he was determined to leave a good impression at the alumni meeting this time, inevitably the feeling of resentment must be detained.
"Sister Eric, stop being sarcastic."
Without Livia realizing it, the atmosphere that had been fun had turned tense. Those who talk while joking should be stopped because they accidentally hear a conversation between Livia and Eric. At first, the conversation that was heard was common, but slowly turned into a form of ridicule.
"Sarcastic? I just think back to the past. You must have done that when you met, right? Look, Livia just didn't mind it."
Livia smiled. "You don't have to worry, I'm fine."
Hearing Livia say so, the alumni event resumed as before, including the words of Eric who made him sick. Livia's patience had already reached its limit as Eric held her shoulders and back on the pretext of asking for her to be more relaxed in their show.
He acts impulsively, slapping Eric in the face. Attention turned again to them, not just one table, but all tables occupied by restaurant customers.
"Excession! How dare you slap me?!"
Livia grinned. "Not only that,"—dia turned the glass filled with cold water to Eric—'s head"I also doused you."
"You're crazy?!"
"How is it not crazy? You touched me in a public place!"
Eric looked around in surprise. "I—it's not true! I didn't touch him at all! He's lying! This woman is lying!"
