The Young Man One

The Young Man One
Joint Decisions

After delivering Grandma, Livia remained silent the whole way, pondering for so long with only a straight look ahead. That made Kelvan want to comfort the grief that might have enveloped his wife.

"Livia, I actually have to work today."

Livia immediately woke up. He turned his head and said with a guilty look, "Yes, Lord! I'm sorry, Kelvan. You were supposed to go to work, but because of delivering grandma, your work was interrupted. Though, I've taken your time on our date day and today it all happened again. You must've had some tough days because of me."

"What I want to say is not that. Delivering grandma is not a problem, because I really want to do it. But now I have to stop by the company to get all the work done. And, I want to apologize to you."

"I'm sorry for what?"

"Because after delivering Grandma, we go straight away without sitting with her first. I'm so sorry."

Livia smiled. "It's okay. I can come back next time."

Kelvan grasped the wife's hand gently. "If that time comes, I'll accompany you."

Livia nodded slowly. "Then, can I see my husband working in the company?"

This is the intention of Kelvan who wanted to entertain earlier, with him discussing that they stop by the company, then the previous disappointing events will be treated. Livia can divert the grief of parting from grandma for a while.

"If you don't sleep anymore of course."

"All right." Livia determined. "I didn't sleep this time."

Kelvan laughed a little. "I'm kidding. You can sleep if you want to. When I get there, I'll wake you up."

"I feel like I've heard those words. In fact, there's someone who doesn't do what they say."

"No, Livia. This time I'll make sure to wake you up."

Kelvan glanced at his wife for a moment before staring into the front road back. He saw a smile and a determination that if stopped would be impossible.

"alright. If that's what you want."

The atmosphere of silence for a moment, made Livia remember something. "Oh, regarding our previous conversation—" Suddenly he stopped saying.

Honestly, child-making is not something they should talk about. Livia doesn't lie to herself that she's embarrassed right now. While Kelvan looks calm and not distracted while driving as if what he says is normal.

Livia shouldn't have forgotten the fact that Kelvan was married. Her husband is no longer awkward when discussing things for the first time in his life.

"Why don't you talk anymore?" asked Kelvan, since then in fact waiting for the continuation of the words.

"I'm confused how to proceed."

Kelvan glanced at Livia briefly before thinning his lips. He knew a little about what made his wife nervous. They are newly married and discussing about intimate relationships will be embarrassing for someone who still needs to be in the habit of marriage.

"I want to have a boy" Kelvan said. "It doesn't matter if it's a girl. How's yours?"

Livia stared at her hands clasping each other on her thighs. He smiled, thinking about the child made him very happy.

"Because we already have a daughter, it would be better to have a son. But it doesn't matter which one, as long as they're born into the world in good health."

"You're right. Hmmm, I think we should start with a medical checkup."

"I don't care if it's the best."
