The Young Man One

The Young Man One
Postpartum

Kelvan was so nervous waiting outside the room, while Nea just came after getting the news that his sister would be born soon. The moments were tense as well as thrilling, their hope that the mother and baby would be safe and healthy.

The sound of crying seemed to be a time where everyone could put an end to those nonchalant feelings. It is in line with the expectation that the birth process goes well. Laughter, haru, happiness may be the right word to describe the atmosphere.

They have a baby boy named Vian. There was no happiest day for the three of them other than when the soul was entrusted with a new life.

The busiest days begin. In fact, Kelvan is still not used to the problem of taking care of children even though he and his first wife already have Nea. But at least, Kelvan knows better than Livia so it can help their ignorance a little bit more.

"Mister Kelvan."

Kelvan raised his head. When he opened his eyes, the residents of the meeting just stared at him. Ivon who called from a dream that had been achieved also showed a look of confusion. How not? This time he fell asleep during a meeting.

"It seems, post-partum keeps you busy at home too" Ivon said, inviting smiles on the faces of those who were there.

Kelvan smiles. "You'll feel it after you get married, Ivon."

People's smiles turned into laughter, Ivon was no exception. The meeting was completed up there. Kelvan went home after that.

When he got home, he heard the sound of his son crying. It was quite awkward for him to see Livia in the same room, but not to calm Vian down, instead sleeping asleep.

"Livia," call her. "Vian is crying."

Livia scrunched her eyebrows. She knew her husband had come home but refused to open her eyes. And that made Kelvan take over calming their son down.

Alluding to the matter of taking care of the baby, Kelvan so remembered when Nea was born first. The same thing happened where he and his first wife were overwhelmed by Nea who could not calm down. Didn't know he would have that time back.

Kelvan shut off the water. At that moment, he heard the sound of crying and made her rush out of the bathroom. The same scene as before, Livia let their son cry without any intention to calm down.

"Livia, wakeup. Vian looks hungry."

Instead of heeding the words, Livia turned her back to her husband. Once again Vian's cry was pacified by his father.

Now Kelvan who is still in a state of bare chest staring at his wife. He thinks something's wrong. At first, he thought that Livia was very tired and needed a short rest. But until Vian's second cry, there was not the slightest hint of Livia's intention to calm down.

"Livia, are you sleeping? Can we talk for a second?"

The absence of movement made Kelvan speak again, "I think you've gone too far. Vian needs you, but you don't care at all. Don't you want to explain anything to me?"

Kelvan became upset, because it was still not ignored. He climbed into the bed to grab Livia's shoulder, then pulled her to face him. She was shocked, seeing tears already rushing down Livia's cheeks.
